From the get go Siri wasn’t high on Sanders. Now why is that you can ask? The simplest answer would be because he just came from Taylor.

Or that he saw first hand that Sanders isn't anything special.

Best move would be Colts having to be forced a trade under one year rental terms. Then extend him on the teams own terms during the season.

Right...so you again....you are just looking from Eagles point of view....not reality.

Then he can choose to force his way to a contender cheaper as a one year rental. Then future team could still always sign him to an extension. Something to monitor in the trade language with the Colts.

It's not about " contender" he is 24 looking for $$$$

If it’s going to be what he considers very cheap…on his current one year rental price….he’d be very motivated to spend it behind a high profile contending team with a strong Oline and QB.

Derrick Barnett, Gainwell and a pick to Steichen for Taylor.

  • Author

Want to be able to trade for Queen still though. Or some quality LB that shakes loose potentially.

Sure...the 1st round pick.....

And then what do you pay Taylor?

I think you are skipping the fact Indy controls the narrative...they can tag Taylor next year.

Pretty small chance to start next offseason as an available FA Taylor signs for less.

He can force a trade this year. We see it all the time.

Would depend what kind of value Steichen placed on Gainwell.

  • Author

What’s Barnett’s value in the trade? A fourth? Fifth?

  • Author

Essentially Barnett, Gainwell and a third would be:a late third and two fifths.

Are you calling it?

He can't force crap!!!  It's not the NBA

Indy wants a 1st.   Why is your head in the sand on this one?

You want BOTH Indy and Taylor to give in??    Just to fit your narrative?

That's not how life works.

I've been calling Taylor stays in Indy...unless both of them get what they want.    Taylor real $$$ and Indy a 2nd round pick plus more.

Otherwise nothing will happen.   The draft isn't until next April...makes no sense for Indy to rush to accept a bad trade.

I was asking Ham lol

I know....but Ham only respects when people  " call things" otherwise any discussion is worthless.   So I figured to " call it"   which has been consistent from what I said since before it was reported Taylor could talk to other teams.

It's a ploy for Irsay to get leverage with Taylor....who I do not think he wants to trade.  He wants to keep him for cheap and then see what to do next year. Or tag him.

First fantasy draft was earlier tonight...steal of the draft with my last pick...Chuba Hubbard.... who will get decent stats once Sanders get burnt out from overusage.

Crazy how many experts there are LOL. I suppose I am guilty also. If I'm Howie I wait around to see if any team cuts can help me as BU's. I'm not dreaming or wetting the bed over taylor or Queen

He's a solid back on the order of Scott. Nothing fancy but he is a solid RB
