I'm more excited to see the offense this year than last year. We have so many weapons Siri needs to find the weak spot every week and hammer on it. Harder schedule, great test for him

Absolutely....with this quality of a schedule... we should see some great football this year.

Hurts should break the team passing yards record this year due to having to keep scoring...and the added weapon out of the backfield.

Best comment on NFL Network just now by the Kyle dude...

" most overrated idea is I'm playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers, most of the time it's just better to play checkers "

Meaning make the obvious move.   He was talking about SF picking Lance. Over Fields with the idea of  getting an athletic QB.

I think this has been a plus for Howie....first 2 days of the last 3 drafts....just play checkers and take your guy.

Smith, Dickerson, Williams, Davis, Jurgens, Dean, Carter, Smith, Steen and Brown.

Seems like a simple process of making these solid selections and still adding more assets for future draft.

Play chess on day 3 of the draft... including the UDFAs.  That's the time to go outside the box.

NOW, NOW 32 PPG(avg) is "impossible" and "can't be done" remember? I'm looking forward to the Dullaz games because they are crowing already and Eagles eat crows LOL. But I agree we'll need to keep our foot on teh gas in more games which I love to see

Howie used seem EGO driven, trying to be the smartest guy, trying to force "making a wave".I think the Reagor pick made him realize he wasn't the smartest guy in the room. After that, the ego went in a trunk and has been hidden ever since and the drafts have been awesome after that. He worked on it for a year, but I think he needs to take a year or 1/2 a year and learn more about defensive prospects other than lineman. if he does that he will truly be the best GM he can be,even better than he is now. Kudos to Lurie for hiring Howie

Alot on here and in the NFL had this notion(and there was a foundation for it) not to take OSU QB's. We'll see how Fields and Stroud do,but it's like Howie never drafts a LB first,it just IS. Anxious to see Fields finally with a few weapons around him. They still have alot to do,but they started

Always said we were excellent finding UDFA's and that continues. I love good underdog

Now the final cuts get tougher

Indy wants a 1st.   Why is your head in the sand on this one?

You want BOTH Indy and Taylor to give in??    Just to fit your narrative?

That's not how life works.

First of all he wants an equivalent of a first round pick….as a ceiling for his trade negotiations. It’s how these things work. Nobody low balls their asset. But in this situation? That even was depending on him signing an extension with another team…to dream of a first round pick return. Which isn’t a certainty. He might be forced to trade a one year rental of Taylor. Not worth a first for sure.

I know....but Ham only respects when people  " call things" otherwise any discussion is worthless.   So I figured to " call it"   which has been consistent from what I said since before it was reported Taylor could talk to other teams.

It's a ploy for Irsay to get leverage with Taylor....who I do not think he wants to trade.  He wants to keep him for cheap and then see what to do next year. Or tag him.

Except the fact Irsay is/was a moron and burnt that bridge

Idk....Blankenship and Brown seem promising.  Elliss too.  I like his defensive picks....Williams has been getting great reports... Carter,  Smith, Davis...what else do you need?

He won't be forced... he can use that as the excuse to keep him... which has been what he wanted all along...Taylor on the cheap.

This Reddick thumb injury stinks. Is he going to wrap up the whole hand and go full club?

Nolan Smith injury also is very unnerving. Not a good way to start the season here.

How did he burn the bridge?   Taylor has no say....the Colts control the contract.  They can tag him next year.   Taylor isn't any more important to the league than all the other players who were tagged.   He doesn't control anything except if he wants to take a new contract.

He hasn’t shown any willingness to suit up again for Irsay.

Still here....10 more cuts to go ... they were expecting him to make the roster and then put on PUP.
