Really knowing the details of the story helps a lot.   Today it seems like nobody takes the 5 minutes to read up on things.

Never put much effort into the Taylor story as we were never going to give up a 1 for a RB

Evidently a writer for Philly Voice voiced his opinion we should trade for Taylor and it took off. Macy evidently simply has opinions, not a critical thinker.

4 TE and 4 WR….who would think things have gone like this

7 DT

CB situation was very interesting. Jobe and Goodrich looked like the front runners. Ricks made the strong push in PS games. Ringo rostered to develop.

We still have to put any guys on IR...etc.   I'm assuming at least 2 changes if not more before the first game.

Ojomo on IR for the punter... and possibly Barnett gets traded.   I'm sure there are more moves... except for Taylor or Queen.

Siposs was so bad they’d rather let Swoop do the job.

Be very interesting to see who they pickup.

Ringo, Ojomo and Driscoll they can IR to start the season.

Broncos TE I’d consider the first

NE only has 1 QB on their roster.

He is already on the 53.  From my point of view... the pickups start once everyone clears waivers and gets put on the IR.

So you can see the manipulation of the 53 ...for this deadline.    The guys that go on IR are a key part of the process as they open up the next guys who can get put on the roster.

Yet….Broncos were going to release him. Being that we are 31st on the waiver order….gave up the least amount of draft capital possible to jump the gun on the waivers…essentially.

But we’ve even seen that when guys are released from their contract they are legally free and open to do what’s in their own best interest. Need to be smart about it.

He isn't ready to play...he wasn't going to be removed from the Pup.  This was the reason for the soft deadline...because if not traded, them he can't play for at least 4 weeks.

What do you want the owner to do...take a guy off of PUP that can't play?

This was the reason for the soft deadline. Now teams can regroup and see who else may want to make an offer.   Someone gets injured, it might work better for both Taylor and Indy.

It was common sense all along, why do you think I kept saying Indy is in no rush to make a trade...unless it was a good one.

IDK his timetable. On GMF they said if another team traded for him he could probably play week 2

Lots of guys out there, like Colt McCoy. He could be a 2. I don't personally like him but.....

  • "A little curious that the Eagles never added a clear cut "enforcer” receiver type after using JJAW in that role in 2021 and Zach Pascal last year."   Maybe that explains 4 TE's???? That guy from Denver could play this role

Yes...that's the point of these odd #s.  Eagles don't have a punter....New England only one QB.   It's all manipulation at this point...the real moves start in a day or so as far as shaping the real roster.
