It’s like you are saying rushing the ball with RBs matter. That having a strong D can matter. Can’t be hearing this correctly.

10-7... it was a muff that led to the SF TD.   Congrats that rushing the ball led to that offensive performance.

Bosa is already signed.   It's the extension.  Of course they are going to pay him.  And of course it will hurt their cap immensely.

Paying the best players always will affect the cap. Our top pass rusher Reddick wants to get paid himself. It will be a hit on our cap as well..,.that is if we can even afford to do it instead of trade him away.

Idk what to tell you.   If you don't think playing in a blizzard where you can't throw the ball....nobody scores and one muff punt ....leading to the only TD....if you think that's normal and not extremely fortunate for SF....then we disagree

No way? A punt mattered? It even happened before the unforeseen fluke of last years SB?

He isn't going to get paid Bosa $$$    and yet he is here rushing back after surgery.    Very telling.

It’s almost like conditions matter

Yeah... the muff on the 25 yard punt mattered.

Nope! He won’t get Bosa money. Niners will pay Bosa though. Will we be able to pay Reddick much less? Not so sure.

Agree.. without the slippery field Sipposs probably doesn't slip and the 6 unblocked guys make the tackle...agree.

Absolutely we can pay Reddick... but just curious... which team is set up better if they lose the guy?

Idk while we were drafting in the 1st round...SF was watching until late day 2.

We have Smith... they lost their backup edge guys.

We have way more cap space than the 49ers... that's without looking at either Bosa or Reddick.

Not sure what you are trying to say?  Do you ever look up cap space?

2023.... Eagles have 5 million more of cap space

2024...Eagles have 55 million more cap space.

Why would you puff your chest about the 49ers paying Bosa, but the Eagles not being able to afford Reddick?

What's the logic behind this?

They can win without their top guy. We’ve proven, at our best, we can’t.

Not puffing my chest about any of it. Just pointing out the obvious to you.

Both teams are close to equal on the cap this season. We have several players that are impending FAs.

I’m obviously on the side of the Eagles. But I can’t clearly say we have a better roster than the Niners or Cowboys. They both improved as we got weaker.

The obvious that without adding more money to either Bosa or Reddick....that the Eagles have $60 mil more of cap space this year and next???

Injuries are a whole other factor. Cowboys already suffered a significant one. We suffered some minor season losses. I am concerned with Reddick and Nolan’s injuries however. Both will supposedly push forward through them.

SF is right at the cap this year.  The Eagles have 5 mil plus.

Next year SF is currently over the cap. The Eagles are $54 mil plus over?

How is this not a huge difference and advantage for the Eagles?

The Eagles have the 2021 draft class heading into year 4.  They will get them signed early to absorb cap next year.

They have Reddick under contract whom they can extend and open up more cap space.

They can basically lock up Reddick,  Smith, Dickerson and Milton.. and stay at the same cap level.  Then go sign other guys.

SF is going to have to go deeper in the hole once they pay Bosa.

Disagree with SF.   They lost guys. The whole idea of improvement is based on Purdy and Hargrave.   Every where else they got worse.

The Niners have been at the doorstep contending 3 out of the last 4 years. We just contended last year of those 4. So it would be expected for the contending team to be further extended to remain contending….when comparing to a team that just began their contending window. Looks to me like the cap differences between the Niners and Eagles over the next two seasons roughly equates to the difference in signing Kelce, Cox and BG to actually play again next season. I believe to be significant.

Bosa.. 5 years $170 mil extension?

Lol.  They are going to be making the moves this offseason to fit that in.

That the longer contending team will pay the highest paid defender still and paid the highest paid FA this offseason is also significant. That they took that FA from us is significant. We didn’t pay our best DT that dominated pass rushing. They did. Tough to reason our superiority with the cap under these circumstances.

What contending team?  Lol.

Bosa has been on an absolute tear on the field, racking up 34 sacks, 40 tackles for loss and six forced fumbles over the last two years. He earned his first All-Pro selection to go along with his DPOY honor in 2022. Dude is sick!
