DeAndre Baker charges were dropped for armed robbery. The plaintiffs were trying to extort money out of him. So he’s available.

He was a former first rounder wasn’t he I mean I’d take a flier on him we need all the help we can get at CB

I think Rosie already blew this. He had offers. Two were confirmed. I think he just gets dropped now. Just absorb No Mas favorite dead money(you know because of all the savings LOL).

Lmao two teams said they had interest in Ertz but no actual value was confirmed on what they were offering.

Ertz will have value regardless in the off-season it might not be as high as a 2nd that some were saying he was worth before the year started but sure plenty of teams would be willing to give a 4th for Ertz possibly a late 3rd

The two teams offering Ravens and GB what do we really thinking they were offering for an injured Zach Ertz because they were giving offers up till he was placed on IR????

id say  maybe conditional 5th can’t image they were buying him high likely were going for the low buy option. Don’t see Ertz value changing much from the deadline if he didn’t get hurt to this off-season likely be around a 3rd-4th rounder now

It's funny... you could mirror this post about someone else.   Never seems to hit home though.   Glass always 4/10 full with one and 4/10 empty with the other guy.

SO without an O line Wentz is as good as Foles??? So far, that seems to be the case. You can spin it however you want joe. "O lines matter".Why spend 100 mil, then let your O line go to H. Why did you pay the loot for a QB and ignore your O line? Fail

IDK, this is tough, because at times Ertz was basically our passing offense. With "limited" tools around him and Wentz, teams cover him up. He was one of the top TE's at one time, but we have ignored some issues forever. So my question is, if the issues are addressed would he return to being a top TE? Fact is, in the NFL you are going to have to pay SOMEONE, and while everyone complains about cap, say what you want, you need to pay someone to be better than team B. So the question becomes, WHOM do you pay?(QB aside cause they all pay for those sometime). So are we trading the 2017-18 Ertz, or are we trading the 2020 Ertz?

The #Eagles have promoted CB Michael Jacquet to the active roster. They've also signed RB Adrian Killins to the practice squad.

Some thoughts after watching the all 22 (the first three quarters. By then I had seen enough.)

On offense, Wentz was bad. Doug was bad. The RBs were bad in pass protection. Just not a great day.

I thought the line did well. Wentz wasn't really pressured too much, and when he was it was either on blitzes or due to somewhat dumb scheme decisions.

Specifically, these things stood out.

On the first drive on a fourth down, we ran a great play where Fulgham and Jeffery blocked for Reagor and it was an easy first down. It looked unstoppable. Did we ever run that play again? No. Did we run a variation of the play? No. Did we even line up in that formation again to threaten to run that play? Not that I saw. I mean, Jesus Christ, something works so we don't do it ever again? FML.

We had a lot of really confusing decisions. At the end of the third quarter, the defense was on it's heels and we were rolling. We had the ball on the 30. First play we ran four routes right to 10 yards where the receivers stopped and turned around. No one was open. On second and 10 we ran a Hurts play for no gain. Then we failed on third down. It was just a bad series of plays. No creativity. All we need is four or five yards on first down. Why not run one shorter route? And this was right after we marched down the field using much better plays.

On another drive, we were bailed out by a bad PI penalty, and then on the next play we ran a play where Pryor had to make a reach block on a DT who was inside him with the play flowing in that direction in order to work. I mean, really?

We had a few plays where Wentz rolled out and hit decent plays, and then we stopped doing it. It was as if something worked, it immediately got eliminated from the playbook.

On defense, what I am going to say isn't going to be popular, but it is true. We are fine at linebacker. If you watch the all 22, Edwards and Singleton weren't perfect, but they were okay. And they were far, far better than Mayo and Martinez, who are making a combined $14 million a year. The Eagles have made  lot of mistakes, but their handling of the LB situation has been fine. And Edwards and Singleton are only going to get better with more playing time. Sure, they missed some plays, but not nearly as many as the Giants LBs, and not nearly as many as I saw the Redskins or Cowboys LBs miss over the last few weeks.

On the Jones TD run, Edwards did get blocked, but the real problem was that the deep safety misplayed it, which is exactly what happened the last game on his long run. McLeod fell for the fake (even though the RB wasn't going anywhere) and allowed Jones to turn what should have been a short gain into a TD.

Our biggest problem on defense is at corner. Maddox and NRC both gave up big plays because Jones simply threw over them. We gambled that teams wouldn't figure out that we have short guys playing at corner, and we lost.

I will note that Mills played really well. He shut down Engram. But I think had he been at CB and Wallace or Parks had been at SS, we win that game.

Literally he outplayed our entire secondary by a wide margin.

I thought he showed signs the end of the last year he was here, enough to keep him one more season. I said as much when they let him go. We showed the patience for 3 years and then abruptly cut the cord. did the same thing with Hicks and Rowe. Pisses me off to be honest. We had a solid secondary and a decent LB had we just showed patience for an additional year on each player....

IF you want OK at LB fine, but I want solid play for 3 downs and we are not getting that. Plus we have absolutely no depth. Singletary looks like a keeper. Taylor seems OK, but he is nothing special and would prefer he be a back up. Draft a stud that can cover, blitz and stuff the run. No one on our roster can do that.

Yeah it's tough, cause in reverse we keep the players we think have promise and they fan. So when to cut the cord is crtitical, and we aren't good at it

I would love to see this happen. He did enough against the Cowboys (I know, bad competition) to warrant another look, and he has the size to make it harder for a qb to make plays against him. Plus, Maddox could move to the slot, so we would potentially be getting better at two spots.

At this point, we should be playing with one eye on the future. So while we shouldn't be completely tanking, we should be giving young guys a chance at positions where known quantities are struggling.

That would be my boy Parsons(Penn St). Although I think we go DL round 1. Even so,  Surratt from homer NC should be around in round 2 and I MUST take a CB in 3. IDK we suck in areas I thought we had fixed lol

Yep said he needed to be rostered, so I am glad they did something right for a change. Accidents happen LOL. BTW using Dullaz WR's is not a bad example IMO.They are pretty good as a WR unit and you MUST cover them

Does not help when Doug insists playing Peters at LT when we all know how bad a state we are at Guard and a healthy Malaita sitting on the bench. Oh and the Giants strength just happen to be DT......

Parsons goes in the top 5. Not sure we will be there but it is possible the way we are playing....

Even if we do, what do you think the odds really are Howie would go LB??  I probably have better odds at banging Kate Beckinsale.

Fairly high actually it’s tends to be easier to know the top players if Parsons is a consensus top 5 pick and we pick at 5 and he is there we likely take him...

We definitely value the lines more but I don’t foresee us passing up on a top player just because it is a LB or a CB or whatever.

Now if there is the top 5 DL vs top 5 LB both sitting there for us to pick them yea we likely go DL

Clearly the 2020 that doesn’t want to go hard because he feels underpaid. But he’s actually paid very well. Just could have signed for more as a FA this offseason. But he wasn’t one. So thank goodness Rosie didn’t double down on his contract. But you had to move him. Unloading that salary was the key. It had to be done for WHATEVER the best offer was.

That’s silly. Of coarse Rosie would have traded the injured Ertz.

Why would you trade him if it was to get a 5th lol what’s silly is trying make a claim on something we know nothing about.

Ravens and GB offered something for Ertz none of us know what that trade offer was so saying it was good or bad on Howie is moot we can’t do it

Hicks was a FA that got a big contract to leave that we were never going to pay. Rowe we traded.

Kracz:

"Interest in Eagles tight end Zach Ertz was percolating, and a source indicated that at least two teams, the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens, made offers right before he was placed on Injured Reserve on Oct. 22."

Kracz's report jibes with a report last week from Albert Breer at Sports Illustrated. Breer reported that teams had made "calls" about Ertz

  • Author

According to Ed Kracz of Sports Illustrated, both the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens made offers for Ertz prior to the injury.

  • Author

Had Ertz not gotten injured, Green Bay and Baltimore both would have been logical potential landing spots if the Eagles made him available for trade.
