So if a WR, or in this case a TE, has a different read than the QB…he’s heading in a different direction than the QB is expecting.

Ham receivers don't "read",the QB does. Receivers run routes,as crisp as they can run them. The object being the QB knows when the breaks come and should adjust the throw for any small  differences. There is nothing for the receiver to read,he just needs to get a window opened up by beating his defender. It's the QB's job to read the routes, adjust and make the throw

What are you talking about? You responded to a quote of mine about how Gainwell started and finished the game. Which I was responding to your quote about potentially switching to a better RB option.

When was Gains hurt that cause the "abysmal" finish?

If our RB room failed...then what about NE RBs?    Remember our run D apparently is a weakness.... we all know NE run D is good.

Their lead back was questionable to suit up because he was very sick. 12 carries for 25 yards. Think that clearly explains itself.

Despite even a broken route, the QB has o be able to see wide open receivers

The QB isn't in the " I called it business "   you can have an idea pre snap... but you are supposed to read post snap.    $250mil didn't do a good job Sunday.

The throwing IMO was good.   Didn't see rust there.

Im dying here....a caller on the radio..." that back end of the defense,  I found it confusing,  I can only imagine for him"

Really....you feel like you should be less confused as a pro QB?  Please don't lower the bar now.  We didn't pay $250 mil for a QB who can't read defenses.  Look at the TE dude.... stop worrying about forcing the ball to your boys.   Have some milk with the meal.

You don’t understand football enough for me to know where even to begin explaining  the game to you. Receivers do have to make reads and adjust routes depending on the D. Just leave it at that.

Rude awakening Ham,players want to play, sometimes they even play hurt without telling anyone they are hurt. So how long did Gains play hurt before they actually knew he was hurt? Don;t you think he wants as many snaps as possible. not saying this always happens, but you can't deny that it DOES. Mahomes played hurt on the SB and everyone knew he was hurt, but I bet he gets hurt at times and you never know it

That’s just it…he wasn’t.

Maybe you are trying to combine to separate posts of mine to get there? I don’t know? Best guess I have at your confusion this time.

Another post I don’t know what you are talking about. I never said Gainwell was hurt. Gainwell wasn’t hurt. Hope it’s more clear to you now.

Thar was the excuse you had built in here.

This is turning worse than when you defended Hurts after that brutal Giants game 2 years ago.

You are losing any credibility now.  The rest of the world sees the QB was awful.   Everyone knows the QB plays bad,  it effects the offense the most.

Stop with this idea Belicheck is such a wizard he can just confuse a guy every play. He didn't look at the wide open TE... multiple times.

Like a pick up game at an urban playground...  milk man couldn't get a look.

Apparently Goedert made a lot of correct reads then.

They don't read the route they are assigned, they know what they WANT do to and don't tell me I don't know enough, another LIE by you. I was a TE don't explain to me what I already know. If receivers read their routes they would literally be all over the field dodging defenders, not where they are supposed to be. It's the QB's job to READ the defense and understand the WR will make the adjustments to where he is supposed to be. Maybe it's YOU who don't understand

You just bleeding all your Hurts Hating all over here. Every DC tries to confuse and trick the offense. It’s what they do.

I built in nothing. Fact is fact. Their top RB was suffering through a tough illness.

Ok.,,that helps explain where this stuff is coming from more. I clearly never said it.

Right.... but every D doesn't look to leave guys wide open.

QBs usually see wide open guys....it's what they do.

And we paid him to figure that out?

Bellicheat has been referred to as the best coach ever. Him studying you all offseason and having a good plan week one shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anybody.

He looked pretty good later in the game on some pass plays.  Already built in narrative.... you can't watch sports like that.

The QB didn't play well.  Mentally.

Only $250.   But remember the previous guy. .  Ham would have crucified him for not seeing guys.

You can't watch sports where you just look to always or never blame someone.    Each play is its own thing.  Any player can do well or mess up the play.... we don't know until we see it.

The rest of us know what we saw.

Yeah...I was surprised Goedert was wide open.  I agree very surprised.
