This the Eagles new plan at punter just use PS guys 😂….. I am curious as to why nobody trains a player to do both punt and kick

They do. The guy we had in competition with Syposs ….Tyler (something) I think got picked up by somebody. He does both

Use PS guys to punt…but just punt it out of bounds. Saves a bunch of risk and hassle.

Read something about using a P carousel earlier in the yr, bring them up 3x then move on to the next. Supposed to be able to keep and protect an extra player. Made sense at the time but we have roster spots open and haven't signed anyone even with all the injuries.

I remember as a kid there was one guy who did both... then he got hurt.

I was saying if one guy did FGs and punts...then who holds?  It seems now that it is exclusively a punters job to hold.

Right... but the idea now is just having those guys work with each other while the other guys work with their positions

The backup QB or 3rd string QB???? idk just curious as why this isn’t a more common thing if you have 1 guy that can do both would free up a roster spot…

Ty Zentner is who battles Sipposs this summer and lost got signed by the Texans but he isn’t kicking FG he is just the punter

Just a thought,if you lost one due to like a groin pull,then you lost 2 positions. Can work both ways until they ALL can pull dual duty

Right, like when QB2 Koy Detmer was the holder. Has to be someone that they can allocate that duty to while they're being paid.
