Gooddell has little to do with that decision. Blame the owners if you want to. Reality is the money is there to get. Who would turn it down? Nobody.

I was fortunate enough I got an Apple III from my dad’s work. It was the business version of the home computer they were making Apple II/e I think it was called. Actually used to code my own games in it. Wish I still had it going. Everybody would laugh at how long I took to make such simplistic low graphic games. My friends and family were amazed by them. Thinking back on all this just really makes me face just how old I’ve become.

I remember how cool it was to have a phone that you could get your email on. You COULD work from anywhere. Its a curse now because we are expected to work from EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME!

Goodell has been great for all of them. Haven’t noticed any times the NFLPA goes against opportunities for more money even. Extra game in the season? Over seas? Thur night games? Players agree to it overwhelming always.

486. Paid $2,500 as a college student. That was a lot of money at the time. That processor couldnt process the camera on an iphone now. Haha

Lord we are old my man…thanks for remembering though. That processor wouldn’t have fit inside an iPhone either. It was a huge deal back then though.

1.  Let's be honest about the situation.  Buddy took over a complete crap team in 1986.  The owner was cheap, he made the players pay for their socks.    There wasn't free agency, the team has to be built through the draft.

2. He was here 5 years, made the playoffs in 3 of them.     The NFC East during that era,was probably the best division in all of sports... EVER. Then add that 49ers team.

3. Playoffs were 5 teams. 3 division winners and 2 wildcard teams.

4.  The Eagles did win a playoff game with the team Buddy built in 1992 at the Saints.  Also won under Ray Rhodes vs Detroit in a high scoring game.... Rodney Peete was the QB.

Seth Joyner tells the story where Buddy told him that he was going to draft HOF OT Erik Williams who went to Dallas instead... we used 2 first rounders on Antone Davis.   Maybe they should have waited a year to fire Buddy,  could be Dallas doesn't win any SBs without Williams.  Maybe Lurie buys the team earlier and he would have gotten Buddy Wilbur Marshall and Jim Lachey like Buddy wanted.  Who knows.

But having Lurie has been the change that was needed.

I just hated Buddy because he was so revered and he never won a single playoff game AND the offenses he had were average at best. No way around that. But I wasn’t able to watch the Eagles very often back then. So my assessment could be bad. Great highlight programs back then to help. I miss those….Boomer and Jackson doing NFL recap show for an hour.

I forgot that Rodney Peete won a playoff game with the Eagles. How did that happen?

Cool story about Seth Joyner. Too bad that didn’t happen. I hate Dallas almost as much as I love the Eagles….and that is a LOT! Haha

Cellphone is a leash in many circumstances. No hiding or unreachable excuses that are believable for more than a few minutes anymore. My buddy had that portable phone that was huge that had a whole bag it was connected to. He was practically James Bond.

Should have been a safety for the 9ers. Refs blew it again. A blind man could have seen that one

Many bright dudes though. Makes us all much smarter. Can google answers to most anything. Can watch a video of how to fix most anything. I love how you can look up if items are available right in that specific store. It will tell you what aisle and how many they have in stock. Or none in stock and look to find it at other places. All right on your phone now…instead of driving to each like we always had to do previously. That’s just if you really need it right now even. Otherwise just buy it right there and it comes right to you from anywhere on the planet.

I remember it as getting really hyped that we were on track to make some noise. Then Randall got injured. Jerome died the next season. Just felt like anything and everything always went wrong to make sure the Eagles never would be totally victorious. Buddy brought the good and bad. He brought such a confident swagger here that we needed so badly.

Giants’ D making some plays.

Dude is better than people give him credit for. There’s nothing he can’t do as a RB.

What’s crazy? Is it probably wasn’t as long ago I was would think. Think I’m on my 6th iPhone now. Which is just crazy also. First iPhone I had was four times as thick..really heavy…with half the screen.

As good as I have seen, that's a fact. Makes guys miss

IDK why they even bother with kick off's. Still hate the rule change. I miss the return game. Just put the ball down and forget the kick-off. It's now pointless
