Kind of surprising that Hurts is ranking 7th best QB this season. Just one sites all encompassing formula. But just to think he hasn’t really been impressive….new OC hasn’t been doing very well yet…, The O really isn’t on synch….yet in 2023? Hurts and the whole O struggling has him fallen to 7th. Imagine all those doubters last offseason even having to face the thought that everything could go right….and that Hurts could even reach 7th best.

Many didn’t think of him a starter. A running gimmick QB. Noodle armed. One guy wanted him benched for Shew even. Slightly over a year later? He’s fallen with many obstacles not going right to 7th!

And what does that have to do with Sanders?

Has everything to do with everything involving RBs in the NFL situation. Why Sanders is worth what he is.

I'm just seeing he isn't good.  I'm not really worried about comparing him to obvious stud bell cows that got usage ....because they were actually good.

Again...Sanders will have great tread on his tires....all through his career, because he won't play as much as a bell cow would.

That point you can make. You just don’t think he is talented. Think you kind of just generalizing and hating on him harshly with such a simple answer. But a player must be a good player first.

But being behind Saquan in college created his low college usage. Think that explains plenty there. Not some huge knock. Our QB got benched for Tua. Left to start elsewhere in college.

I believed that we were deliberate in our sparing usage of Miles. Was plenty of consideration of him being an exception to the normal RB. That him being worthy of a second contract was very possible. Even from a GM being openly harsh about priority of the position.

Just pointing out how Sanders should be judged. He’s more valuable than most any typical RB you’d compare to….based on wear and tear factor. The largest factor driving the RB market. So that increases is monetary value over four years. It’s not saying he’s considered that level quality by the money comparatively to other RBs. It’s paying Sanders higher based on his probability to maintain higher level of play for more years.

I gotta know what site you are talking about?   I saw the QBR list...didn't see him on it, was at least 20 names... please pass along any links.

What is Sanders worth?  Carolina overpaid and will release him in 2 years to clear cap.   But he will still have tread on the tires.

Ok... let's revisit at the end of the season.  Tell me he is anywhere near the 11th best RB in the game at that point to justify his pay.

We can use criteria...  1. Jokes,  2. Tackle breaking.  3. Pass protection. 4. Route running.   5. Pass catching

Actual functions of an NFL RB.

Tread on the tires... we can look at after 2025 when you want Howie to bring him back.

Ok....I watch NFL football... I could care less about what happened in amateur ball...what matters is the NFL and how players perform in the league.

I didn't see Barkley or Sanders play in college.. my opinion of Sanders is strictly as a pro.

???  You think we saved his usage because he was in the long term plans?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ok.... when Carolina cuts him after 2 seasons.....will you admit it was a bad contract.

You pay a player based on his impact of making your team win.

The RB position gets paid less because it isn't seen as an impactful position.   Sanders surely isn't going to be the 11th most impactful RB in the NFL during his contract....which he is a long shot to finish.

Jordan Mailata vs the Vikings: 🦅96.9 PFF grade 🦅90.3 pass-blocking grade The highest graded game by an OT since 2010 😱

Their plan was to lose Caff and Sanders was his replacement. I'm sure they knew he wasn't another Caff, but they were hoping he would fill the role. The hole Caff left was too big and Sanders can't even see out of it. His under performance has to be killing them. Another bad game and Chubba Hubbard will become the lead back. They (Carolina) can't wait another week for production. They were hoping to take some pressure off Bryce Young, but Sanders doesn't have enough talent. Sanders will need at least a respectable game week 3,or he is in serious danger of taking a back seat. Fans here are already pissed

https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/4045163/miles-sacheifs depthders  72 yards one game with a lost fumble. But that was vs the Falcons 🤣 Pretty -pedestrian(at best) for what they paid. Up next the Hawks. He needs a 100 yard game on the ground or Carolina will have to play Chubba. I want him on my fantasy team(Chubba) but there is no room. I have Sanders in 2 leagues as my RB2 and this will be his last week starting in those 2 leagues unless he puts up some significant numbers. If I see more playing time for Chubba this week,Sanders will go on waivers and I will replace him with Chubba. Disappointing is the word down here

Storm coming in today, expected winds by tomorrow AM 60+. It's headed your way 58,more rain for you

After Fields comments about not playing well due to coaching(which I saw myself),which he backtracked on later,DaBears have signed an aged vet QB. Maybe Fields gets traded away??? They were not pleased with his comments. He was supposed to hit the ground running this year and it's been awful. Could be yet another Colts QB pick-up or maybe the Pats would take a look. IDK what they will do but there is big time friction in Chicago after a coach re-signed too. Not a good look in the windy city right now. IMO Fields is probably correct. They tied his hands behind his back much like we did with Hurts in the first 1/2 vs the Vikes. He just said the quiet part out loud

Baker Mayfield has a QBR of 104.4. We need to ruin it Sunday

Seem a list of top QB under the age of 25 and they had Hurts at #2.

Had me wondering what the outcome would be if you put the different QBs under 25 in the same situation as Hurts with the Eagles. Would they be better? Would they be the same worse???

Bears are a terribly run franchise Fields would be better off if he got traded.

Don’t know if I see the Colts going for him if he become available they seem all In with Richardson… Jets and NE though I could see looking into Fields.

Jets make a ton of sense really Rodgers is the guy if he comes back healthy but won’t be around that much longer and Fields could definitely help get the Jets into the playoffs and hopefully then Rodgers returns for them since that’s his goal
