Rudy Ford injured his hamstring. He’s been dealing with a hamstring injury in TC. So why wouldn’t he be put on IR?

We bring in a shut down corner in Slay, and he is ranked the 5th worse in the league? There may be truth to this. Swartz knows the D-Line, so it seems every time we draft a DT or DE they work out. Maybe it is not the draft but the coaches.....

Because even playing at 80% hes our best sp teams player hands down. Ok, maybe Cameron Johnson is a hair above him lol.

Been saying this for years now. Your starting to catch on now like many others. Problem is the scheme. Jim only runs a hand ful of plays that the entire league knows like the back of their hand. As long as you have 3 to 4 secs in the pocket, the other team will complete the pass. Jims scheme is all and only about dline pressure. If they dont get the instant pressure it sets the DBs and LBs to fail. Yes we might get a few break ups here or there but overall they cant match up. 

There is a reason Jim ranks 14-18 every year with the exception of 5 of those years in his 18 year career running defenses he landed in the top 10 range. The reason he landed those top 10 defenses was the teams offense was top 3 in each of those years. Yes he is a avg DC and we could do worse BUT we could do better as well. Only one way to find out.

Btw, seriously,why the hell did we take Hurts? First off it's gets in Wentz head  no matter what he says (is this part of his "trying too hard" issue?) So for me that was a garbage move(HARDLY INSTILLS CONFIDENCE in Wentz). Secondly, the kid plays a few snaps a game, seems ineffective and he comes out. WTF???? I would(in a heartbeat) trade him for a nice OG/CB prospect. We have kept Suds around(who still gets no snaps even though the rook DOES) and I think we should reverse that boo boo right away.Coaches always say "OH he is our QB",until they aren't the following week(Bradford anyone?).Since we need line help and this guy is young(Hurts) why not get this done NOW???  I'm for trading Hurts and getting a player we can actually use right NOW.Unless of course you think Wentz is going away. We can pick up a late QB in the next draft, but we can fix that round 2 error right now if we want to. The 2 plays Hurts runs(with no success) makes me wanna scream.

My guess why JP wasn’t moved Semaulo coming back and Herbig being the plan at RG.

Want stability on the OL what guys on this board have been crying for all season. Keeping JP at LT over moving him for one game then returning him to T the next. 
 

Then plan moving forward seems to be the OL of JP,Semaulo,Kielce, Herbig and Lane.

Can debate Mailata better then JP but clearly Stout and the rest of the team doesn’t think so.

Noone is debating Mailata is better than JP. Mailata is the FUTURE and JP is DONE after this year.make the change and get it over with. Jp will play wherever we tell him to play.it's his last year so who gives a crap what he wants?

  although that is most likely correct, Mailata should get the playing time now. Put JP as a back up and allow these young guys to get the experience. If he is a better option at guard that would be fine as Herbig will most likely be a back up next year with Brooks returning.... IT is not like we are going anywhere this year. As GB mentioned JB will be gone after the season....

Not really worth worrying about anyway. Let them do what they want. I really am losing interest in this team. Needs a complete overhaul IMO. I doubt Howie will go, but Swartz is average at best. Doug seems to have lost the team along with his magic. Maybe it was Reich and not Doug that made it work in 2017? What I am seeing is lack of adjustments. No real scheming and not playing to players strengths. It all comes down to  a bad record at the end of the year. It is a shame because I really feel the team has much better potential than this....

Most positions I’d agree but not on the OL that protects the QB. To me you start the best guys no matter what

This team doesn’t need a complete overhaul just some changes.... Offense is weird because games I’ve watch so many plays were available to be made guys just were not executing so scheme wise no a real issue. 
 

Defense just no real building blocks no young talent. We have Slay,Cox,Graham,McLeod as our best players all over 30. That unit needs a complete overhaul I agree hence why at likely 19th we just need to draft the best available D player regardless of position in my eyes think we would want it to be DL but I wouldn’t push it just to draft a DL 

To me goals needs to be...

A. Finding a real QB coach(or OC)let Press be the pass game coach. Basically get someone not from the West Coast tree that can push Wentz. 
 

B. Draft heavy D this is the year to me to make the change DC if we wanted new coach can come in draft guys to fit his scheme to be building blocks still some vets that can help transition

You are barking up the wrong tree. Peters is good buddies with the owner....Lurie. Coach doesn’t have say over the owner.

Not possible. You want to just give him away when we just spent a second round pick on him? No way. I think Hurts is a good QB also. Didn’t/don’t like the pick. But I do think he’s pretty good. Needs a little more refinement. He took a huge leap forward as a passer last season after he got out of Bama.

Well when Lincoln Riley becomes our HC and we trade Wentz away for pair of 1st rounders we will be sitting great... Lmao sorry couldn’t help it 

Some interesting things to watch this week. I expect Jeffery to have a much bigger role, and if he's close to being healthy he should be able to do well against a bad Browns secondary. Huntley will probably get some work as the RB3. I thought he looked good in limited opportunities.

Ostman should see some snaps as the DE4. It should be a good chance for him to show he belongs on the roster. Parks should also see a snap increase due to the offense that the Browns run. I expect Bradley to play more, and maybe even Taylor gets a chance.

We should have huge advantages on both offense and defense, as we are the much healthier team. The Browns are missing four key pieces on defense, so we should be able to move the ball. On offense, they don't have much at WR outside of Landry, so they will have to run over us, which shouldn't be possible due to all the money we have invested in our Dline.
