I am an offensive minded guy. So I want to know others’ take on this question. Why do teams not double the other teams’ star WR (like Adams tonight) on every play…FORCE the offense to beat you some other way….ala, Belicheat?  Seems so obvious to me as teams will eventually screw up and FORCE the ball to their star.

Listening to this game, it’s interesting to hear opinions of others about the commentators. My wife really dislikes Collingsworth. I personally don’t mind him….not my favorite. She loves Romo’s commentary. I can’t stand captain obvious’ comments.

We both absolutely hated Joe Thiessman…..Diarrhea of the mouth… and LOVED John Madden, GOAT!

I also liked Dan Fouts and Todd Christensen and Dan Dierdorff, Merlin Olsen, Phil Simms, Come to think of it, I really don’t like any of the current ones that much. Al Michaels is really good but he is the play by play guy. Herbstreet is pretty good.  Aikman is good, but seems less engaged at this point.

 

And the new Monday Night Countdown crew is HORRIBLE! Unwatchable! And I love that stuff. Ryan Clark is boring. Orlovsky is good. The rest just suck! Get Suzie Kober, Steve Young, Rod Woodson back please!

Booger McFarland has to be the WORST EVER! His comments are border line STUPID!

It's not the WR's, it's the crappy QB. They used to call Renfro "the slot machine" but Jimmy can't find him either, even when the iffy O line gives him time

We play the Chiefs ...the AFC West 1st place finisher from last year.   Not sure which NFC East team they host this year?

Yeah....but as a tiebreaker for the division....it doesn't count..neither a common opponent nor an nfc team.

Where as the Cardinals are both.

So the non common games are Vikings, Chiefs, and Bucs, right?

Common opponents

NFC record 

So with that...the 3 games you mentioned would be the ones to lose in the event the other stuff above is even.

Arizona isn't a division game, but it's a common opponent, so in the event we lose to Tampa, the week technically gives the edge to the Eagles in the tiebreaker.

Even though at the moment Dallas would technically be in first place because they beat the Giants ( a division opponent) 

Conversely..you can look at it ...if we go 3-0 and take a game lead on Dallas.... 2 of the wins aren't common opponents, so don't mean as much. 

Good news is the KC game is actually the least important if we lose.

I think that is exactly the normal D..double team Adams. But he has faced it so much. He is just that good…he beats the double even.
