Some interesting things to watch this week. I expect Jeffery to have a much bigger role, and if he's close to being healthy he should be able to do well against a bad Browns secondary. Huntley will probably get some work as the RB3. I thought he looked good in limited opportunities.

Ostman should see some snaps as the DE4. It should be a good chance for him to show he belongs on the roster. Parks should also see a snap increase due to the offense that the Browns run. I expect Bradley to play more, and maybe even Taylor gets a chance.

We should have huge advantages on both offense and defense, as we are the much healthier team. The Browns are missing four key pieces on defense, so we should be able to move the ball. On offense, they don't have much at WR outside of Landry, so they will have to run over us, which shouldn't be possible due to all the money we have invested in our Dline.

I AM NOT HOLDING MY BREATH. Cleveland will run the ball down our throat. To date, we have had no answer for a solid running game. I doubt anything changes Sunday....

Our weakness has been in stopping mobile qbs and receivers on jet sweeps, reverses and misdirection. We haven't really struggled with RBs, though Cleveland is a unique test as they have two standout guys.

They might well do yeah. Mind you we have been ok against RBs.

Not really worth worrying about anyway. Let them do what they want. I really am losing interest in this team. Needs a complete overhaul IMO. I doubt Howie will go, but Swartz is average at best. Doug seems to have lost the team along with his magic. Maybe it was Reich and not Doug that made it work in 2017? What I am seeing is lack of adjustments. No real scheming and not playing to players strengths. It all comes down to  a bad record at the end of the year. It is a shame because I really feel the team has much better potential than this....

Mic drop. yeah after the SB, all it's been is promises to do better. We know that's a lie. bad drafts, followed by inept development(in alot of cases), now add in the fact Duce could be poached when this season ends. Like you,the interest is waning and I have been a fan for quite some time

LOL, JP automatically better than a guy they won't let play. Not real hard to figure out here. Mailta could end up being BETTER than JP. Of course as long as he rides pine we'd never know, so let's ride old reliable into the sunset, then add another bad call next year

You are barking up the wrong tree. Peters is good buddies with the owner....Lurie. Coach doesn’t have say over the owner.

yeah just like Press Taylor is a "good buddy". Business wise "good buddies" don't win you diddly if they are there only for moral support. If he was such good buddys with Lurie, why was he allowed to hit the waiver wire?

Not possible. You want to just give him away when we just spent a second round pick on him? No way. I think Hurts is a good QB also. Didn’t/don’t like the pick. But I do think he’s pretty good. Needs a little more refinement. He took a huge leap forward as a passer last season after he got out of Bama.

On the 4 plays we saw he was a better passer? Thats hardly a barometer. OH yeah we've had such STUNNINGLY excellent early round picks right? 1)MS2-we got ZIP except for egg on our face.  2)Jones put in the effort so he could succeed elsewhere) JJ is tearing it up and Reagor(1) MAY play someday.(ok he may pan out yet -jury still out) 1) AG-if you need psychaitric help to help you do what you were trained to do, that's not a terrific pick. If we are planning on replacing Wentz, then I would understand the pick, other wise  2) Hurts is a 2-3 play gadget player when we COULD have bolstered one of our lines or added a CB, with an every down player that mattered. Dillard-who knows? Didn;t impress me when he DID play. SO saying Hurts is not expendable because he was a 2 pick is totally the wrong reason to hang on to a BAD decision. Jjaw-WHO? Another terrific pick

BTW there was an article I read today about how the Vikes war room ERUPTED and cheered when we took Reagor. yeah we're excellent at drafting(not)

So Ham-keep JP and pay him, keep hurts for his 2 play contribution and let Ertz walk because we don't want to pay  the players-got it. This team will be GREAT(at vying for the 2022 first draft pick)

Higgins is no slouch,he will kill us if we don't cover him. They have TE's they will use also. The Browns D isn't as bad as you think(in fact they are a top reco this week in fantasy). Put all this together and it will be a tough game to win on the road.Don't make it sound like we became a super team overnight. We have a good run D,but they will hammer us.If we tire, they will run amok, and at that point their secondary becomes irrelevent. And they have an adequate enough pass rush

Yes,as I said they will bang them both, wear our run D down. Thats bad news in close 4th 1/4 game. I hope we show some type of offense. If we play 30(as usual) we lose

"cept those teams had only 1 banger. We will see if we can handle 2. They will rotate them, keep them fresh and us tired. That, and use my TE's, would be my overall game plan if I was the Cleve coach. Of course take your downfield your shots when you can

This is an "interesting" game. Being an Eagles fan from Ohio means I have to go against lots of friends. I need this win, just for that

Oh I agree with you it is going to be hard going against 2 legit top RBs.

I will watch Taysom Hill for the Saints. He is simply a STUD and a blast to watch!!!! Hard to believe this guy is a BU!!!! Behind him Winston, but we can't do it lol.

BTW Ham- Taysom Hill-UNDRAFTED and he would blow Hurts AWAY

OK I will go ahead and say it. Lurie needs to say to US "you guys are making the draft picks". Put us in a room, let us throw cheesesteaks and pizza at each other and I will say without ANY doubt whatsoever, that we collectively would outdraft them. Egotistical? Maybe,or is it just the confidence they we understand this team better than some of the staff does? I have known all of you here for some time. I would put our draft picks up against anyones, even the Eagles staff. Call it a challenge to Lurie. Bring it big guy!!!

Most positions I’d agree but not on the OL that protects the QB. To me you start the best guys no matter what

OK, So you do not feel JP at Guard replacing Herbig and inserting Malaita at LT along with Lane, Kelce and  Semaulo is not a better starting 5? I would love to run behind that line.....

Again that a different debate all together no... Idk what JP looks like at G none of us do we haven’t seen him play there... I actually think Herbig is a good G I’d say he is a better G then Mailata is a T at this point and time.

Stine, don't let the fact that we SIGNED him to play OG, get in the way of bad decisions made by this team. Don't let anyone settle in to get consistency. We're just crazy old men lol

He feasted on bad Big 12 teams.

Against the good teams he was so so at best.

I feel bad for the kid.  The early part of his career is being wasted here.  If he never gets an opportunity to start here (which seems likely), then Howie really screwed him by drafting him.

Not really could be a blessing for guy like Hurts he was never going to be the guy to come in day 1 and start getting to sit learn aids him.... And for the most part we have done pretty decent with QBs outside of this year with Wentz.

Howie FO really screwed us by drafting though because we could have used any position right now LB,CB,OL, DL etc.
