The third RB doesn't do much other than play ST, and Huntley doesn't offer anything there, so it makes sense to call up Holyfield and keep Huntley inactive. Holyfield is also an option in short yardage.

Huntley is more of a development guy who should compete for RB2 next year.

Oh I don't disagree at all. But if Huntley isn't contributing on STs and isn't being used on offense then what is he doing? Nothing so why not put him on the PS? If he doesn't make it there then OK I mean no real harm done.

I agree 100 percent, but they must see something in him to keep him around. If he can turn into a legit #2 RB, I don't see the harm in letting him develop. It's not like we are overflowing with talent at other spots that he is blocking anyone. And if they really like him, there's no reason to risk losing him. Although, the counter argument is that if they like him, why not play him. But the team makes a lot of confusing decisions, and this one is at least somewhat justifiable.

I find that a little odd don't you? Huntley was on the 53 before so they obviously liked him enough at that point. If they haven't liked what they've seen from him in practice then ok fine just release him surely?

No not at all really. Eagles need a RB that can pass protect and is slightly bigger run between the tackles. Huntley isn’t that guy(honestly most young RB struggle with pass protection)

Holyfield was highly praised for pass protection and fills the bigger RB void left from Clement(no not a fan that he in this role) and apparently Howard is unable to play because of COVID

If Scott was the guy who went down think we would have seen Huntley as the next man up.

As for Huntley i only seen him in little bit of action think first giants game.... I will say I liked the explosive step he seemed to have just got to 0-60 really fast lol.... Wanted to us give him bit more of a chance either way guy I’ll definitely keep an eye on more in year 2

RE Huntley/Holyfield. More than likely, IMO, this is a test to see which one we keep now that Jordan will be back. No sense holding onto to bevy of #3 RB's. Need to see them both in real games, in real time. Practice is practice and I think this means we will decide who stays and who goes. Call it a "last interview"

I will be watching the Cincy/UCF game.Smaller colleges, both good programs.Nice place to find those later round "bloomers" and we will(as of now) have a slew of those next draft

I think at RB, they have Holyfield as a guy they can keep on the PS this year and can be a camp body net year. Huntley seems to be a guy they like as a possible upgrade from Scott, and I think he is going to remain on the roster for the rest of the year. The Lions felt he needed a year to adjust to the NFL, and we seem to be willing to let him do that on our roster. Howard can be elevated twice from the PS, so my guess is that is what will happen for the next two games after this week. At that point they can decide if they want to keep him around or not.

With Press out with COVID Doug said he is going to be more hands on with filling his role... Wonder how much of a difference this could make

Jordan Howard fall from grace is incredible honestly dude was a top back what just two years ago now could see the field in Miami.

Honesty can’t image much of his game has changed from last year or in Chicago. If he willing to sign the right deal he would be the perfect #2 to Sanders.

Agreed, but I DO feel this is a last  interview. If he's ok, that would be cause to push a RB further back in the draft (of course if one falls to you you grab them). If they don't feel that way, they can opt for choosing to move a little higher on RB on draft day. Some now think Duce would be up for a HC job. It would be a pity to lose him. I would offer him the OC job. He may be OUR future HC, but this would satisfy him for this next year coming. It's not like we are lighting it up on offense here, maybe a change would do us good, and I'm sure Duce would have a nice replacement in mind at the position he now holds. I don't see us needing to re-sign Howard, unless he still has juice left to squeeze. So that's how I am viewing the overall picture

Pondering RB draft picks and understanding we don't rely on ONE stud, but a nice RBBC I am looking at late round picks. There are 2 I like. Now you can say OH one of the top 4 are better. Of course they are,but I don't see us going there in rounds 1,2,3, so 2 late rounders I think would pair well with Sanders are Pooky Williams and Master Teague. I especially like Teague because he has been "the other guy" at OSU,but he seems fully capable of taking a lead role if Sanders were to be out for any extended time. Both are late rounders as of now.Of course that could change easily, but I like these 2 as later grabs

Some nice D players on the Cincy squad. They beat my boys. Coming in UCF was averaging 649 yards of offense(YIKES),but they shut that down. Very well played defense by Cincy and a few round 6 players we could snag

I mean I guess yeah. I can see that if it was Scott who went down, as you said, then they may have moved Huntley up the pecking order.

I have special  "you suck"  pillows for throwing. Some days, I think my accuracy is better then Wentz's. I have many, so no need to get up until the 1/2 lmao

A good early Sunday watch of the run game last week.

Miles Sanders vs Giants 2020 - YouTube

Some things I would note. I watched Opeta in this breakdown and I really like what I saw. He didn't win every time, but he was often matched up solo against Dalvin Tomlinson, a second round pick who is considered a really good run stopping DT. So in theory, that's a matchup the Giants should win every time. He had one assisted tackle on the day. So Opeta largely handled him, and the team was able to create some pretty big holes to that side.

Pryor was bad at times. Getting Herbig in there will help. Kelce and Peters have to be better.

Have to wonder how much the OL shuffling is messing with Kelce especially the Gs the guys lining right next to him

One thing we have to do today is hit intermediate passes to players in space. Goedert, Reagor and Fulgham all have the ability to break tackles and turn medium passes into big plays. We have to hit those plays to keep the safeties away from the LOS. The Browns safeties are really good against the run, and if we allow them to creep up, we are going to struggle.

If we are throwing a lot of curls and quick outs, we aren't going to accomplish much. There has to be more crossing patterns and slants to get those guys the ball in their hands with momentum.

That may be part of it. Getting Seumalo back should help him.

I’d Herbig going to play today??? Anyone heard

Haven't seen anything on twitter. Doug said it could be Herbig, Pryor or Opeta. I wouldn't mind seeing Opeta again if Herbig can't go. I really like what he did against the Giants, and I think he just needs some reps at this point.

I know Opeta has been criticized by some in the media, but the more I rewatched the Giants game the more I liked what he did. he was far better than Pryor.

I mean that isn’t saying much though I’d rather it be Herbig lol... But between Pryor and Opeta think it has to be Pryor because they should be playing RG... Opeta seems like Pryor in he has a preferred spot hence why Herbig is always the guy that switches around

Biggest thing I will be watching this game Doug as del facto QB coach with Press out with COVID.... How much will that effect Wentz???

If Wentz comes out and has his best game of the year think you have to at least be thinking mmmm Press maybe shouldn’t be QB coach
