I said to my Mrs at the time that we scored that there’s no bad time to score but we may have score too quickly.

What was the exact situation? Can you recall? Did we need to get a first down to run the clock all the way down before kicking?

D should never have allowed 31 points nor should they have allowed the last drive with the game on the line. Bills had NINE sacks on them last week, Where was the dominating defense?

Only thing.. after AJ got the PI call...they stopped giving the RBs the ball.   Put us in difficult situations.

Well when you have faith in your D and they let you down,that's another issue. All we had to  do was prevent a TD

2nd and 4.... 1:45 left...they had only 1 timeout...just called their 2nd right after the 6 yard run.   Get that 1st down....you can run it 3 times to get even closer... then kick the last second FG...eliminating Washington from getting the ball.  

All the D had to do was force ONE 3 and out

Irrelevant... you kill the clock so they any fluke can't happen.   I have faith to give up zero points if the game is over.

We saw other teams get burned on this last year...  it should be obvious now.

All the O had to do was watch the clock go down. Really they didn't even have to watch... it counts down regardless of where your eyes are looking

If we had gone 3 and out it would be a very long FG. you are assuming a first down,which may or may not have happened. With 1:43 I would count on my D to prevent a TD,that was the call the OC made.

Really if you want to avoid injuries..you just kill the clock and eliminate the defense having to go on the field.

Just absolutely stupid to extend the game...for stats.   But hey 31 points

Seen players not act selfish and go down avoiding scoring. Sometimes that’s all that’s needed to win. Teams will let you score even…if that’s their only chance to win. It’s actually been done before. The D lets a team score on them. Whatever it takes to win. Screw caring all about stats like some do. Any option that keeps your chances alive is what should be done. Giving up a TD might hurt a DC stats. A Qb throwing a pick deep hurts his stats on turnovers and completion percentage. Can’t stand coaches and players that decisions favor looking better over anything to win. Any QB can get three straight completions over the middle at the end. Stat guys will look at that as better. Competitive do anything to win is always better. Sometimes that means taking a knee at the one instead of scoring a TD. If that ends the game with victory….that’s what should happen.

No it wouldn't...  we were driving the ball...it wasn't a 3 and out..we got down there under 2 minutes and ran 2 plays and got like 18 yards.  Keep the momentum... and just end it. Elliott from 40 yards at the buzzer..I'll take 17 weeks.

I was at that game. Gotta remember it was many years ago. That game alone changed everybody's thought process about going 98 yards with such limited time.
