We can’t rely on all we did this game all season. Washington should have gone for the two point conversion. We couldn’t have answered. Elliot nailing those FG was absolutely critical. All of them. But a 54 yarder in OT? Wouldn’t fault him for not hitting that one. Or if the weather is in anyway less favorable. On and on….but a miss there practically gives away the game. Field position meant our D would have been relied on to completely shut them down.

Right..he makes a 54 yarder... a 38 yard FG at the buzzer much easier.  Bad decisiont to go for TD....end of story.... go Pats... for only 2 more hours...lol.

Think our QB Sneak play met a snag today also that could be lasting. They were ready to flag Dickerson for his slight cheat. League has been made very aware of this now. Won’t get away with that anymore..

You brought up the 31 PPG not me,and as I keep saying the D should not have allowed 31 to this team. Bills had NINE sacks last week

Yes...because congrats...they got that last TD for stats...instead of playing the better odds to win.   Playing for 27 instead of 31 there was the better decision.

But hey...we got 34 points...yipidee Frick en do dah!

Sadly it wasn’t the end of story. The D folded to Howell giving up the game at the end. That’s something that will stick for a long time. Crucial blow to trust and confidence in our D being relied upon.

I mean...he lined up clearly in the neutral zone.... did the league need to be ready for that obvious penalty?

Going forward: can you make a decision of trusting our D to get the ball back to provide a chance for us to win?

Right...because they decided not to end the story.

Much more difficult than just kicking the FG at the buzzer.

But did you enjoy the drama at the end....you still think going for the TD was the easier way to win?

Couldn’t agree with you more. Nothing trumps winning the game. Winning 7 to 6 is better than losing 70 to 71. Every time!

Going forward..I kick the FG at the buzzer....every time the choice arises.

So you are assuming he makes the FG and I am assuming the D could stop them, which they missed by one freakin second

I wouldn't put the 85 Bears out there instead of Elliott kicking a chip shot.

Just no need to do it.

Obviously the OC felt the same as I did

Think it’s a slight cheat that’s been a part of the play. Nobody more crucial on our sneak than Dickerson. Him lining up just slightly forward I don’t think was a one time accident. Been a key deliberate part of the success of the play. This is a very lasting blow we now face. League I believe was ready to flag this happening before they broke the huddle.

Yeah.... I assume Elliot makes the chip shot FG.   Just like the Chiefs did to us in the SB and every other team does at the end of games.

Yes...I assume that...and I prefer to avoid my D taking unnecessary risks of injuries when they shouldn't ever go play again.

Obviously you and the OC against the world here.

Pats getting crushed

Barring no additional yards it would be a long FG not the chip shot you assume.Once again call the Linc and tell them they suck. last week you chastised me for pointing out bad things because we won,so I expect the same from you right now

Obviously. Could have been the end like you said. Think we all understood this. But what happened afterwards had lasting effects on this team. The mistake could have created the opportunity for the D to have shut it down. Closed out the game. Gained that trust. Should have. All faith the D can be relied on now going forward is lost.

It's not been part of the play...you aren't allowed to line up in the neutral zone....he goofed. Unless every other time they missed calling the most obvious penalty in football????

Moving on............I'll take the ugly W

The 1st down was the 24 yard line....they get it...run 3 sneaks... to kill the clock....you are now around the 20.  That's a 37yard FG.  The extra point is 32 yards.

Chip shot

We all have acknowledged that. Don’t disagree. But what if we have three TOs left and need to decide whether to P and rely on the D to get the ball back? Or do we pretty much HAVE to go for it on O on fourth down…almost regardless of distance or field position?
