It's not been part of the play...you aren't allowed to line up in the neutral zone....he goofed. Unless every other time they missed calling the most obvious penalty in football????

He hand was  NOT ahead of the ball tip, which is how everything is measured??? IDK could be wrong

Moving on............I'll take the ugly W

And I would prefer the smoother win by just managing the clock well. 2022 style.

He was lined up even with Kelce to be technical. Do think the most important blocker cheating slightly forward on this one play has been intentional. Making an educated guess here…that it’s something the league was ready to flag coming into this game. Probably our divisional rival pointing it out to them…to highlight before kickoff ever happened.

The 1st down was the 24 yard line....they get it...run 3 sneaks... to kill the clock....you are now around the 20.  That's a 37yard FG.  The extra point is 32 yards.

Chip shot

28+15 would be a 43 yarder. Yep within his range, but no guarantees. Done talking about this. We won I'm moving on

Much more difficult than just kicking the FG at the buzzer.

But did you enjoy the drama at the end....you still think going for the TD was the easier way to win?

The drama was entertaining. Bad clock management got me fired up. As soon as it happened I realized we weren’t going to stop them from scoring a TD. Which is very telling on my thoughts about our D. AJ getting called for the unsportsmanlike penalty is another key problem.

Pssssssst - it's 17 yds from the LOS

AJ scoring that TD at the end but then getting the ‘Punk Penalty.’ There is an issue going on there. The blow up on the sideline the previous game over selfish reasons. But then AJ seemed to kind of get real slack. Didn’t keep trying on the deep ball on the left sideline. Because the CB had him covered too well. Then coming from the right. What happened there? Hurts believed he was going deep. But he kind of just quit on that one too. That’s after what seemed like a miscommunication between him and QB1. Of course I wouldn’t know exactly who was wrong on their thinking with that play. But I easily lean towards AJ messing up. Mentally and physically he kind of checked out. Messed up his route he should have run. Which resulted in a penalty. That easily could have been a play that cost us the game. 54 yard Elliott save covered it up.

Sorry, meant the yardage from the goal to LOS plus 17

Just can’t excuse AJ showing such minimal effort first off. In OT with everything on the line no less. But just start with why he was so well covered and couldn’t get open. He had the clear matchup advantage. We look to go to him most always in that situation. Guys head isn’t all in the right places.

The ball is the neutral zone...no player on either side can be lined up with the ball....any part of the ball...that's the neutral zone.

Then you think the refs have been blind not calling it....it's the easiest penalty to call....you can't lineup in the neutral zone.  Not complicated. Dickerson messed up.

Left field theories don't apply...some things are simple... doesn't get any more simple than nobody can line up within the width of the ball.

The league has been ready to flag neutral zone infraction since I was born... we knew this playing in the backyard in the 70s.

Really...all Dickerson needs to do is move his hand back a couple of inches...there is no advantage gained by where your hand is while its touching the ground.

You aren’t wrong. But think the G can get away with this rule more than any other. So he’s been pushing it the whole time on this play. Maybe just a smidge too far on this instance. But think it’s a deliberate piece to the play.

If you are being slick about it. It starts with Kelce. He leans a bit more forward. So the G doesn’t look bad. A bit of optics at play here.

When is the last time it was called on a G you’ve seen? When the G didn’t just jump out of stance too early that is. A G lined up in the neutral zone penalty? Think hard. Not sure if I’ve ever heard that penalty called in my life actually.

I’m very happy to be undefeated. Not thinking it means we are the best team in the league right now though.

Not even saying you’re totally wrong on the sneak play No Mas. But considering how detailed we are about what happens. I think it starts with Kelce even angling the ball a tiny bit.

Have a feeling I’m not the only person considering this about our sneak

Board is no fun anymore,so I won't be posting much which I'm sure makes everyone happy

But they needed to get to the 24 ....2nd and 4.  Then you run the clock down.  Get the 4 yards.

I think Hurts threw the ball away on the blitz...thinking he wasn't going to get called for intentional grounding.    The safe play to throw it away.

You don't see it because they don't make the obvious mistake of lining up in the neutral zone.    Especially at G because you are right there.

We see the plays from the line of scrimmage...you can see everyone line up.  Dickerson obviously had his hand down right next to the ball .... just dumb obvious penalty.

Lol... it's a clear black and white line... Dickerson clearly went over it.   With his hand.  Unnecessary. His helmet can be over in front of Kelce... but has to be behind the ball....everything else was good, but his hand.  Could have just moves it back, he lunges forward with the helmet anyway, the hand placement doesn't matter on this play, he doesn't raise it up to block like he would on the usual plays.
