Now if Dickerson the other OL stick their helmets in the neutral zone...then obviously an advantage...but not the hand by an inch or two.

You aren’t wrong. But think the G can get away with this rule more than any other. So he’s been pushing it the whole time on this play. Maybe just a smidge too far on this instance. But think it’s a deliberate piece to the play.

Disagree...hand placement no advantage.  Dickerson goofed.

If you are being slick about it. It starts with Kelce. He leans a bit more forward. So the G doesn’t look bad. A bit of optics at play here.

No optics...  it's the clear rule....the ball is the neutral zone. Don't put your hand in the neutral zone...lol.

Nobody else battling so hard to defend a bad P either

Cmon Cunningham. I expect better from you. No point in puffing your chest out and writing novels about how much someone was wrong about a freaking punter. Do you REALLY think the Eagles lost the Super Bowl ONLY because of the one bad punt in that game? Cmon. No chance and any player on that team would agree with me. Someone else could say the ONE fumble by Hurts was the reason they lost. Joe simply doesn’t want to keep worrying about a PUNTER. I feel the same. A good punter can help change field positions but the D still has to stop the other team. A difference of 3 or 4 yards net is NOT going to make your TEAM win a bunch of games. It is a punter. Do you want the all pro punter or Hurts? Just saying. I want a capable punter that doesnt screw up and holds well for the K.

The new punter sucked today.   There are 32 jobs... obviously it seems like there are like 5 to 10 good punters... none are available.   Could easily be a down time at the position.  Could change soon in a year or two. Who knows.  Buy clearly doesn't seem any good options were available the last couple of years.

My weekly nit pick.

1.   Hurts needs to stop running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage...flick the ball out.  He did it and lost 3 yards....2nd and 13 Swift runs for 8 yards...should be 3rd and 2 there.  Changes the play, big advantage offense.

2.  Why stop running after AJ drew the PI... reminded me of Andy Reid era....keep running when it works.

3.  The soft cushion is killing me on defense.  Stop dropping 12 yards when it's 3rd and 6 and letting them have a gimme.

4.  The clock fiasco at the end

Good stuff....

1. Huge upgrade at RB, not even close

2.   Love to see the WRs block

3.  Elliot is best kicker in franchise history.  8 for 8 in game winning kicks

4.  Jalen Carter

5. Carter and Davis... simply the physicality is going to be a problem for a long time. Can’t teach that.

6.   #41.  Get him on the 53.

4-0... just win now, clean it up later.

Looking forward to KC vs Buffalo who stomped Miami

Before anyone slays me here, I admitted many times last year that I was wrong about Hurts. That being said, two things bugging me so far this year:

1) Hurts is FORCING the ball to AJ too often. Make your reads! AJ is awesome. I get that. But dont leave your offense hanging because you want to appease ONE dude.

2) I am certain Hurts has been told to slide when any defender is near. Otherwise, what the heck? I’d like to see him at least make some better decisions on that part. Nitpicky? Probably so.

I want them to punt out of bounds. Seems obvious…but evidently just not going to ever be considered.

Hurts is definitely running more cautiously this year....i assume he has been told to do so..and probably agrees somewhat.   When that escape instinct kicked in a he needed to go full speed to avoid the hit... that's when he had the big gain...that's the guy I want to see run.

But on scrambles... not the BS QB designed runs.

Agree ... none of the 32 teams do that...even the other 25 teams with the same level crap at punter.

I came away thinking he threw some unbelievable balls today. Some pin point lasers.

I guess if they shank it trying to go out of bounds...it could be disaster.   They prefer at least the 30 yard net than the shank.  Risk vs reward .

3 punts today....that guy was busy... lol.

I do agree about Hurts needs to throw the ball away instead running out for a loss.

I agree ... except for lasers.   Accuracy was good.   Really few balls thrown poorly.  One to Swift down the sideline, another one off of Goedert could have been thrown a little better.

But threw some real beauties.  Probably best was AJ down the sideline.   Last week to #13 was still my favorite,  Probably best play of his career with all the elements involved.

I think he gets there.  Really he can just flick it last second.  Outside the pocket no Intentional grounding... he can practice that.  It's a fine line with his athletic ability to where he doesn't know until last second if he can judge if he can gain a yard or two vs losing a yard.

Also rolling left,  it needs to be awkward flick, without turning and exposing his body for a hit.

It's why I called it a nitpick.  Nothing to be crucified for, but definitely a detail that he can improve.

Look at us....4-0.l record. .. 25, 34, 25 and 34 points... and yet all finding stuff to complain about ...especially the offense.

The standard is there now....we expect a TD every drive.  That's good to think like that.   So many years where you just wanted room to make a good punt.  Now I expect a 99 yard TD drive.

At the moment the Bears have the first two picks in the draft....they have 1...and Carolina would be 2.   The only 0-4 teams.

Lol.

Miles Sanders.... 13 carries for 19 yards.   Pure stud.

Lol.

Justin Fields gets traded.

They go Williams Pick 1 and Harrison Pick 2.

That would be such a mistake to go QB and WR. I get both are special talents but you’ve got to be smart with how you build. That feels like a way to keep the Bears bad.

There's a reason bad teams stay bad for so long. They see this bright shiney QB or RB then don't build an O line to keep them on their feet.

One thing over the last decade, or longer, is they invested in the O and D lines. It's not flashy but it's effective

Look at SF. They're winning with an UDFA at QB
