That would be such a mistake to go QB and WR. I get both are special talents but you’ve got to be smart with how you build. That feels like a way to keep the Bears bad.

Just gotta take the USC QB first. Be dumb to overthink that one.

Covey really had a rough go of things this year already. When you honestly think about that a guy suffered a concussion….what’s the safe timeframe for him to really come back to taking hits? Can you even believe after a month?

Matters the severity as they have different grades for concussions. Back in the day half the players would just walk it off, not that I'm suggesting to do that now that we know what can happen. A few yrs ago it was maybe they'd be back next game. Now it's more like 10 days.

Is he practice squad?     I'm sure this isn't any manipulation of the roster at all... lol.    Go see highlights of the game winning kick and who ran onto the field to celebrate...lol.

Mysteriously the other returner gets a shot now and yet no commitment to the 53 yet from a returner position.

But yeah... you just have to " wonder " how long ...lol

My bad...I didn't realize Covey was on the 53.  Still odd as he was out there celebrating that game winner.

Much knowledge has been gained on the real dangers that concurring multiple concussions can be so damaging. A week? Six months? A year? How long do you need between concussions to massively lessen the probability of severe lasting damage?

Jurgens foot sprain, could miss several weeks as per Kempski

I wonder if the chest bump with Elliot after the game winner was it....it looked like there might have been a little helmet contact?

With Aaron Donald up next!  Great timing

Oh for sure that one is absolutely a must!

Opeta's been filling in at RG, a little weird since RG was supposedly a battle between Jurgens and Steen.

On another injury, Covey was looking pretty good on returns but so was his protection, opening some great lanes. Not to take away from Covey as he really seems to be seeing the field much better. Although not as experienced I believe Allen can be even more of a threat given that protection.

I think they probably felt in that moment Opeta was better placed to go in. With a week to prepare I wouldn’t be shocked if they get Steen ready. But I guess we shall see. Seems very unlikely that Jurgens will be back and he’s probably going to miss a few games.

@BrandonGowton

Nicholas Morrow finished the game with a career-high-tying 11 tackles (10 solo), a career-high 3.0 sacks, 3 TFLs, 3 QB hits and 1 FF. Morrow is the first #Eagles player to record 10+ tackles, 3.0+ sacks and 1+ FF in a game

Morrow is the second-highest graded off-ball linebacker by Pro Football Focus this season, only behind Roquan Smith.

Yeah...but it isn't an investment.  Howie needs to throw money or a high pick there to satisfy some.   Dude looks hungry.  Give me some guys that feel disrespected and hungry to play those dirty work type of positions like LB and RB

I believe the Brown injury cost us 7 points... Edmunds dropped an INT right before the fumble recovery TD.    Brown seems to have a history of making that type of big play.

Brown and Blankenship... Morrow stepping up to play when Dean comes back... that will help solidify the middle.

But this 10 yard cushion on 3rd and 6 needs to stop.

Refs have made this game UNWATCHABLE! I dont like either team so dont even care about it. I usually watch every game i can, but the refs here…..cmon man! Im out!

Covey is a natural at the position and has played it in many games. Allen has not. Punt returning at ANY level is no easy task. I prefer someone that catches the ball extremely well over someone that can make a big play every once in a blue moon.

Steen was inactive for the game. So we’ll see how things play out going forward.

Let’s talk about the offensive side of the ball, where Jalen Hurts is off to a terrible start. His success rate of 39 percent is eighth worst among all starting quarterbacks, below such players as Howell, Justin Fields, and Desmond Ridder. On plays outside of the pocket, where Hurts should be good, no quarterback has a worse success rate—that includes both throws and runs. Hurts is seventh in scramble rate but 26th in EPA per scramble this season; last year, he was sixth and ninth, respectively. Using the eye test, it’s not hard to see why Hurts is struggling as a runner. Hurts seems far more cautious around contact now than he did last season. Perhaps it’s a coaching point, a reaction to Hurts’s shoulder injury from last season—the Eagles did invest in Hurts by giving him a massive second contract, and protecting him from injury is protecting the future of the franchise. But Hurts’s willingness to play through contact—his strength in the pocket, his tackle-breaking as a runner—was a huge part of his success last season. And this year, it feels like it’s just … gone.

Seen something that ATL should look into trading for Fields and honestly not the worst idea for either team.

Bears- they are going to likely have #1 pick he’ll might even have the top 2 picks they going to go for Caleb Williams(or they should the likely #1 overall pick) might as well sell fields for extra assets

ATL- they have the young core in place Pitts, London, Robinson and I do think a coach like Smith could help maximize Fields talents

We are signing Bradley Roby to a 2 year deal? Could be a good signing for us should help bolster the secondary

Though you could definitely argue we needed S help more so then CB

Wise and obvious that Hurts just needs to avoid contact at most all costs. Nothing much that can justify him being worth taking a hit for. Bad timing I’d say on any attacks aimed at our QB1 however. He just threw some absolutely beautiful on the money passes this past game. Anybody coming at him now is just clearly a hater.

But Hurts numbers drastically dipping in any areas based on him facing higher punishment risk situations should take significant hits. Just don’t need him doing so much that he’s previously done to his body. Focus should be more on just maintaining his health the best it can possibly be managed.
