Be honest.... in your mind you want to keep the training wheels on for Hurts.  That's sad.   Shows lack of confidence.

Just let him play QB...and not RB.   That's really what all of us can agree on.

Bad trade for 1 reason - they need OL! That QB needs protection, actually feel

kinda bad for him as he's taking a lot of blame that's not on him

More concerned that our edge gys aren't coming thru, Rams good in the middle - hey - that actually has to do with us!

Rams tough up the middle. need Reddick and Sweat. We can't cover what Rams are goin to bring

Nah....making it as a 7 seed...  too much.... some bad playoff teams these last few years.

Still better than the two seed getting a bye. Give them what should be a fairly easy win.  NFL anything can and does happen. Watched the giants get hot and run the table as the last seed. Matchups are so key. Might not be the best versus the majority of teams…but can matchup well with that one or two teams that end up mattering.
I’m in favor of having the two extra playoff games. Guess that’s my main point of view. Two seeds having no game? Or a relatively weak opponent? I prefer the latter. Being the two seed they earned the advantage. Their fans get a home playoff game instead of sitting idol. Let’s all get drunk and rowdy and whoop up on somebody instead of sit on our hands watching the other teams.

Do you feel the same with Mahomes?  Should Andy ..." save him"?

I'll ask...which QB prior to your man crush on Hurts.... did you feel this way.   To where their coaches...should " save them"

Let him play QB... and it absolutely does matter the $$$'.  You pay a guy because he helps you win.  For QBs...that means passing.

Yep….been a part of football all my life. Some great QBs just seemed to be extremely durable. Played a style that didn’t seem to be as risky. Hurts gets paid to be the leader first. So I disagree about your whole assessment on that. After leading….then it’s decision making. Which could mean choosing to hand off instead of pass.

How is the TE in SF doing?    SF wasting him... winning by 30 points each game???

I forgot,no criticizing. My mistake. Lets trade Goedert while we can. Sell high. Don't need him.

Nah... less playoffs teams the better. Who cares if a 2 seed gets a bye.

He’s far surpassed training wheels. Second place MVP you label as having training wheels on some how?I have complete confidence we stand a shot against anybody WITH Hurts. Not much of one without. Just smart to minimize his exposure as much as possible during the regular season. I wasn’t pleased he had to suit up the last game of the season last year.

Right... so the issue with Hurts specifically....that makes him different in your mind.... is his style.   He runs too much.   So do exactly what I say...stop the called QB runs....or plays where his running is an option.

1. Handoff to a RB

2.  Pass.

You pay him $250 ...he has all pros on the OL.....and at receiving weapons.   You added a stud receiving RB.   He can adjust his " style"  and pass the ball.   The previous guy got 4000 yards throwing to Dionte Johnson and Greg Ward... no reason Hurts can't light it up passing....especially also having a running game to compliment the passing.

Just no need to call the college offense where he runs.   Play normal NFL offense..without the training wheels...and he will be fine.

How is the TE in SF doing?  Just checking in...last i saw...he was getting more camera time in the stands at a WWE event.  Been getting me squat on fantasy...I'm wondering if they need to smack their OC ... so he can get the ball?   They aren't winning by enough points i guess?

I don’t really wish injury on anybody. But Stafford has played many years. Made plenty of money. Got his ring. This is going to be his final game. He’s going to get crushed!

Boom ....Stott Grand Slam... 7-0 Phillies!!!!     Smack that ball harder than the OC baby....round 2 should be next!

You want him to be like the previous guy and NOT WIN PLAYOFF GAMES? I’m looking for the exact opposite here. I don’t need style or stats. Just would like the team to have things figured out as best as possible come the big games at the end. Hurts being healthy is my priority number one.

I believe this should apply to all top QBs. But Hurts hasn’t been known for the quick timing passes and dump offs being his normal routine. His instincts have lead to him trying to create more time for the play downfield to uncover…or take off with it himself. Not big on dumping it off or throwing it away so much. Also feel he needs his mobility. He doesn’t play the position like Peyton Manning. Then you get into the basics of a serious injury keeps him from being able to take his shot at things this season. But also can affect his career longevity.

I want him to play QB.  You built a team of the absolute best receiving weapons that this organization has ever seen at one time.

It's like entering a bicycle race with an electric bike... it's a cheat code...a huge advantage.    Let him use it

2021 Eagles led the league in rushing %

2022..they were 4th

2023... currently 3rd.

The numbers are just under 50% each year.   Half runs.   Now just give those 3-5 called runs ( outside the sneak) that Hurts runs on draws or read option... and just give them to the RB.

Half the snaps is enough " protecting of the QB" in the modern passing league. It's not 1970 football anymore.

He can handle passing 50-51 % of the plays.  Really with these weapons It's actually low.

Previous guy has: no team. Signed that contract then dumped. Put up some regular season stats then never won a postseason game. Got injured every season. Those injuries likely cut his career longevity down.

So what is it you want  Hurts patterning after this?

It’s like going downhill in a bicycle race. Just roll with it! No need to do anything extra. Avoid potholes and pass competitors.

Right... time to evolve and change the instincts.   Time to evolve from amateur ball... you seem to just be afraid to have Hurts grow?   So what if he fails a little...he seems to handle it well.  Do you want a career of just handing off and being afraid to play??

That's sad.  Imagine not having your best players in every sport not showing off their skills?   Sports would absolutely suck that way.

It’s not afraid to play. It’s risk management.  Djokovic in his first match at the French Open completely dominating the easy matchup. Won the first two sets already. Up in the third set. Should he go lunging diving attempting to return the ball so barely in reach only if he does all that? Or let that one point go….and just continue winning that match minus that one point and advance? Is managing his body for the whole tournament actually a factor the whole way through?

Again... stay on topic.  The previous guy was the worst human being on the planet...total loser...pathetic....

Yet threw for 4000 yards to nobody.  Hurts = greatest human to ever wear a jock strap.... he should be able to handle passing 51 % of the snaps to AJ, Smith, Goedet, Swift...

If you don't think Hurts can handle it..you have no confidence in him.  Just false bravado in the " I called it" world.   A leader leads....a leader wants the ball. ..a leader does the basic parts of his job.   Any QB in the league would kill for his job right now to have this offensive group to play with.   Come on now.... let the dude play.

I still say he breaks the previous guy's record this year.  Either yards from 2019... or TD passes from 2017.   13 games left....he is just warming up.  And with better offenses coming up...he is going to have to pass.   319 yards seemed too easy this past week. Wait until he actually uses his TE after GB smacks Johnson.   Hurts is going to light it up!!!  Sit back and enjoy.   Pretty soon the years will go by and a Sam Bradford type will be back under center.  Enjoy Hurts while he is here.

No fear of Hurts growing. He so obviously has never stopped growing and developing. Now part of his growth needs to be living to fight another day…maybe a decent amount more. Counter to his unbelievably ultra competitive instincts.
