Your not using the #1 overall pick on a guy like Caleb Williams(project #1 guy) and not giving him the reins to the team come on Ham. Fact is bears decision is Fields is the guy and you use your top picks to build around him or you go with the top QB and you move on from fields.

Only 2 options really

I like this game coming up.  It has all the makings of a loss.  Travel...let down... matchup...etc.

Would be a solid win here if they get it.

Especially if Kupp returns. Even if not, our secondary will have their hands full with Atwell and new star Nacua. I had this penciled in as................. ?   Excellent test we need for some of the tough games upcoming

The other thing...you can kinda see here, Kelce was saying the Washington  NT was putting his hand under the ball.

What you were missing when I was trying to talk about this. You were just so bent on that it was just simply a situation of Dickerson being offside. He wasn’t. While the defender clearly was. Exactly why I showed you that picture. Why I wish you’d just maybe try an open mind and considering what is being said ….before just countering and arguing against everything as your default response. Glad that Kelce came out and confirmed that the league did exactly in fact target Dickerson potentially routinely cheating forward a bit on this singular play. The ref was ready to see fault before Dickerson had even lined up. So much so….the Commander D was clearly in violation here….the actual illegal guy wasn’t flagged because they were hyper focused on flagging Dickerson instead. That defender putting his hand under the ball is just flagrantly terrible to be allowed. How can refs possibly miss and allow that to happen? Wouldn’t take much at all for him to have messed with the ball being snapped…creating a fumble by loosening the ball in the C hand. Pretty inexcusable for a ref to miss calling that. He just wasn’t looking at but one thing so clearly proven. DEFENDER’S HAND UNDER THE BALL…touching it. A whole official job looking down the line at the ball. Flagrant league interference in the works surrounding the whole thing.

I’ve been such a massive fan of the NFL for so long. They are really right on the cusp of loosing me. Last season watching how they were so deliberate in absolutely guaranteeing Washington wouldn’t make the playoffs by league interference….through the officiating crew…if not in more ways. Then that SB was such obvious league manipulation. The weak call against Bradberry stunk. But the field conditions I just can’t realistically believe wasn’t clear sabotage. Even if it was done in our favor I’d still feel the same about how I absolutely can’t stand that stuff going on. Had suspicions on many levels for many years that the league has been manipulating things. Playing against Tom Brady it was just understood a whole separate officiating standard was going to apply. Certain drug testing targeting. I’ve just accepted that the league manipulated the scheduling to its fullest abilities. That isn’t correct or fair…but it’s just the routine obvious way that the league is getting very involved in what occurs. Scheduling…and officiating crews they select for specific game matchup situations.

No reason for the league to do any of this. Have a great product that almost couldn’t be screwed up. Manipulating and screwing with the game is almost the only way they could ruin the whole thing. Exactly what it just seems so blatant they have and are up to. These latest league interference has been directly targeting against us. I can’t stand it even if it was happening against our opponent instead. Them manipulating against us is real close to breaking my such devoted loyalties to the NFL and the Eagles.

Have no interest In WWE football. Doesn’t look like it’s getting anything but worse and more blatant. As much as I obsess over Eagles football? Looking like this might be about it for me. Pretty much the only way they could have lost me. It’s just way past a possible conspiracy theory at this point. Could be my last season…for real.

Why is that the only way? Why can’t you have two QBs? Seems like a decent idea just anyway to have two QBs. But it applies pressure to both QBs. Fields would need to absolutely without a doubt prove to be the best franchise QB option to win the starting job after that. If Fields has a total breakdown and refuses to compete and actually have to win the job? Then he isn’t the guy for the job any how. But what’s wrong with creating that situation of making a gifted athlete high pick like Fields forced to be hungry to prove himself? The whole other side of things it’s a legitimate point also. High pick QB drafted wouldn’t just have a free no pressure gifted job security. How often do first round QB picks not pan out? Even if they just gifted their new first round draft pick the starting job right away….if he stinks a few games in a row it will be understood that he’ll be yanked for Fields. If him getting benched doesn’t light his fire enough to get things going the very next game? Exactly why it would be beneficial to create this competitive situation.

BG I do understand that your opinion is very much the predominant mindset on the situation. So not really challenging you….as much as….the overwhelming majorities thinking about this.

And honestly don’t even remember the 3rd turnover from fields only recall the two

Fields was sacked and fumbled it returned for a TD. Pretty big part!

The Bears are 0-2 with a 14-plus-point lead entering the fourth quarter during the losing streak

All the Fields apologist can’t just blow off all responsibility from the QB. He’s been an actual part of the issue.

  • Author

Only two other teams since 1930 have lost back to back games they were leading by 14 plus points in the fourth quarter.

  • Author

Chicago also had a nine-point, fourth-quarter lead against the Packers in Week 13 of last year that got away. The Bears are 0-3 with a multi-possession, fourth-quarter lead (lead of at least nine points) during the losing streak. The rest of the NFL is 145-14 (.912) in those situations

Every team not having Fields at QB is 145- 14….while he’s 0-3. Makes it really seem almost like it’s hard to even screw up. Not like every other game this has occurred was just great QBs or anything. Plenty of frankly bad QBs barely blow a lead like Fields has.  I’m one of the furthest fans away from blaming QBs for everything in such a team sport. But excuses revolving around all faulting Fields supporting cast being just so terrible? Just aren’t even applicable when considering just how terrible Fields has been….with solid fourth quarter leads. A team being outmatched and getting terribly embarrassed and thoroughly beaten? Happens and no one player can probably change much of that happening. But trying to blame supporting cast inferior personnel just doesn’t fly in situations of having multiple score leads in the fourth quarter and blowing the game. If the whole team just stinks and isn’t capable? No QB can change all that. But a very solid case can be made that Fields actively creates and finds ways to lose.
Many seem mesmerized by Fields abilities showing up when a bad play he turns into a spectacular…gain of some sort. I start with that I think he creates some bad situations by not doing what you need a Franchise QB doing before the snap even. Read the situation of O playcall against the D alignment. Adjust before the snap. Slide protection. Audible. Or just realize the potential problem he’s facing. Act accordingly. He has tons of athleticism. But his seemingly top trait being creating something out of nothing is only useful if it coincides with accelling at performing the basic running of actual designed plays. Him playing fantastic against a terrible D early on…but then struggling in the second half is a player that isn’t much use. Struggling early against an opponent and then adjusting and improving I could work with. Every player can make mistakes late in games. Many players I could utilize just don’t have the natural abilities near Fields level. Just not sure if he is a player I could use if I was a coach or GM. Not sure I’m at the level of completely positive he just can’t and won’t ever be able to be a player worth placing on a contending level team. But says quite a bit about such a gifted athlete that I can’t even say he’s proven that he even is a guy I would roster.

Well didn’t start Fields since it was Thursday night but I do have DJ Moore as my flex sooooo that’s a W start 30 points already in my FF league

What lmao 😂 do you just make crap up in your head and stick with it lol…. I mean Fields isn’t playing D he doesn’t give up 21 points to lose v the Broncos.

He doesn’t dial up a naked bootleg and leave a defender completely unblocked as he is turning around from the PA that leads to a fumble.

Fields doesn’t opt to go for it on 4th & 1 in FG range of a tied game.

Is Fields perfect no but definitely can’t say majority of the bears loses are on him

On a PA bootleg that as soon as he turned around the defender was hitting him…. PRETTY BIG PART YOUR JUST IGNORING.

I watched the game I watched that play it was just awful but hardly on the QB

Being on the fence really works for anyone commit to a guy and build around him and there strengths.

Also money is the biggest factor as to why you can’t and won’t have two QBs on teams. Even QBs on rookie deals

He’s far surpassed training wheels. Second place MVP you label as having training wheels on some how?I have complete confidence we stand a shot against anybody WITH Hurts. Not much of one without. Just smart to minimize his exposure as much as possible during the regular season. I wasn’t pleased he had to suit up the last game of the season last year.

What NFL team has a shot without their starting QB they are paying boatloads of money to?
If you are going to call QB run plays, then go run like a man. Don’t fall down because someone is going to hit you. Better yet, if you have told him to fall down, then DONT freaking call a QB run play.

My issue with Hurts this year is that he won’t even take the free yards the D gives him. He sees a defender and immediately slides. You don’t see Mahomes do that. He takes every free yard a D gives him and then some. And doesn’t wait to do it in the playoffs. Look up his rushing hards vs the Jets of all team…that defense everyone says is so scary.

The Eagles have a 5 game schedule that they COULD lose all five. Cowpies, Chiefs, Bills, Niners, Cowpies. They damn well better beat the Rams and Jets because its about to get much tougher.

Don’t quote me wrong. The Eagles NEED Hurts. But they need him to play at a higher level than he played the first three weeks.

And the defense needs to stop playing so dang soft. Go hit somebody in the mouth! Passive defense will get you beat.

Weird we struggled with the Wuss but Chicago mopped them up

  • Overall, Chicago has been doubled up in fourth-quarter scoring (118-59) during the skid.

  • Fields hasn't done the Bears any favors in the clutch. He has six total TD and nine turnovers in the fourth quarter during Chicago's 14-game losing streak. He looks like an MVP candidate the rest of the game, scoring 20 total TD to only four turnovers in the first three quarters.

Seems like you are the one ignoring a QBs job of reading the D at all
