Well didn’t start Fields since it was Thursday night but I do have DJ Moore as my flex sooooo that’s a W start 30 points already in my FF league

I sat him also, but played McLauren at who sucked. Opponent had my man crush DJ Moore who went off for 41 fantasy points

Also money is the biggest factor as to why you can’t and won’t have two QBs on teams. Even QBs on rookie deals

Terrible reasoning to say the team with so much cap room can’t afford it

What NFL team has a shot without their starting QB they are paying boatloads of money to?
If you are going to call QB run plays, then go run like a man. Don’t fall down because someone is going to hit you. Better yet, if you have told him to fall down, then DONT freaking call a QB run play.

My issue with Hurts this year is that he won’t even take the free yards the D gives him. He sees a defender and immediately slides. You don’t see Mahomes do that. He takes every free yard a D gives him and then some. And doesn’t wait to do it in the playoffs. Look up his rushing hards vs the Jets of all team…that defense everyone says is so scary.

The Eagles have a 5 game schedule that they COULD lose all five. Cowpies, Chiefs, Bills, Niners, Cowpies. They damn well better beat the Rams and Jets because its about to get much tougher.

Don’t quote me wrong. The Eagles NEED Hurts. But they need him to play at a higher level than he played the first three weeks.

And the defense needs to stop playing so dang soft. Go hit somebody in the mouth! Passive defense will get you beat.

I’m with you on the D. Pretty much exactly what Desai mainly described he wanted from this D.
Most teams need their franchise QB. Agree there also. Which I stated. Fairly basic.

Some teams are built less around their QB carrying the day though. Niners clearly have shown that. Seattle and some others. But we seem so heavily dependent on Hurts. Couldn’t beat bad teams without him. Were forced to play him recovering in that final game last year because of it.

Not just do we seem like about the most dependent on our starting QB….like we saw with a decent backup even couldn’t get things done. Hurts doesn’t seem to have that knack of avoiding taking punishment as much as some QBs do and have.

Also would say Hurts relies on his mobility a fair amount. So it’s a key to his successful play.

I’m seeing Hurts trying to adjust his game listening to the coaching preaching for him to lesson his exposure to taking big hits. A little bit awkward even I’d say.  Just not what his been doing ever. For a guy that was runner up for the Heisman….he was going pretty all out in college. Facing losing his job to Tua and having to transfer really didn’t allow him to get slack.

What you were missing when I was trying to talk about this. You were just so bent on that it was just simply a situation of Dickerson being offside. He wasn’t. While the defender clearly was. Exactly why I showed you that picture. Why I wish you’d just maybe try an open mind and considering what is being said ….before just countering and arguing against everything as your default response. Glad that Kelce came out and confirmed that the league did exactly in fact target Dickerson potentially routinely cheating forward a bit on this singular play. The ref was ready to see fault before Dickerson had even lined up. So much so….the Commander D was clearly in violation here….the actual illegal guy wasn’t flagged because they were hyper focused on flagging Dickerson instead. That defender putting his hand under the ball is just flagrantly terrible to be allowed. How can refs possibly miss and allow that to happen? Wouldn’t take much at all for him to have messed with the ball being snapped…creating a fumble by loosening the ball in the C hand. Pretty inexcusable for a ref to miss calling that. He just wasn’t looking at but one thing so clearly proven. DEFENDER’S HAND UNDER THE BALL…touching it. A whole official job looking down the line at the ball. Flagrant league interference in the works surrounding the whole thing.

Dude..... it absolutely looks like Dickerson's hand on a couple of these, very easy mistake ...this is the close up so you can kinda tell it's Kelce, but still not obvious.

Kelce needs to wear a different color  glove... then no issue.  Very simple

Why is that the only way? Why can’t you have two QBs? Seems like a decent idea just anyway to have two QBs. But it applies pressure to both QBs. Fields would need to absolutely without a doubt prove to be the best franchise QB option to win the starting job after that. If Fields has a total breakdown and refuses to compete and actually have to win the job? Then he isn’t the guy for the job any how. But what’s wrong with creating that situation of making a gifted athlete high pick like Fields forced to be hungry to prove himself? The whole other side of things it’s a legitimate point also. High pick QB drafted wouldn’t just have a free no pressure gifted job security. How often do first round QB picks not pan out? Even if they just gifted their new first round draft pick the starting job right away….if he stinks a few games in a row it will be understood that he’ll be yanked for Fields. If him getting benched doesn’t light his fire enough to get things going the very next game? Exactly why it would be beneficial to create this competitive situation.

Because the GM would be fired. No shot you keep Fields and the #1 pick.  If it was late 1st round...different story...not the 1st pick.

BG I do understand that your opinion is very much the predominant mindset on the situation. So not really challenging you….as much as….the overwhelming majorities thinking about this.

Pretty much your thing.    You would challenge the fact there are 7 days a week if you could.

I believe you would keep Fields, use the #1 pick on the USC QB....then ask the OC to run the ball 70% of the time to " protect the QBs" ...    but at the same time use a " 4 headed monster" so as to "keep the tread on the tires" of the top 2 RBs.

Then use the next 3 picks for S, because you gotta have 3 good safeties.

Yes...but being on the fence is good for   " I called it"  because it gives you all the outs.

It's ok...there was a fumble in February that you still haven't acknowledged was the QB's fault.  Everyone has a blindspot.

I forgot to put in Montgomery last week...and dropped the Rams RB in my dynasty league before this year's draft.   It happens... lol

Nah...pretty good reasoning actually.   Use the cap space to build your team properly.

Again.... very simple....stop calling plays where Hurts running with the ball is the 1st or 2nd option.   No draws or read options.

The team that is most dependent on their QB is KC.    He makes their coach look good....and all the other ham and Eggers on that offense besides the TE.

Don't confuse the fact minshew sucked...for the fact that there are  pro bowlers all around our QB.

Buffalo would be another obvious one that relies more on their QB.

One pro bowler around a stud QB seems to be enough for those guys...imagine them having a stacked offense like Hurts. Wow!

How would one calculate how much a team is dependent on their QB?

Like would you take a team like KC who had over 5000 yards passing and only 1900 yards rushing... and compste to the Eagles who had a little over 4000 yards passing and 2500 yards rushing?

Obviously one could argue that KC needed the QB more because they couldn't just run the ball like the Eagles did.

The Minnesota game this year being the example,  you don't really see that from KC.

Do you look at 3rd down conversion where the QB has to make the play?

Idk...but I do know...if I truly believed that I has the best QB...I want the ball in his hands...making normal QB plays....and would look to eliminate plays where he is like a RB.

His mobility is why he is in the league.

" protecting him"   can be done from play calling.    Keeping him to what normal QBs do...and let him use his mobility as an asset to help protect himself as a means to avoid contact.

Designed runs kinda force him to be in a position to possibly take hits. AVOID THOSE!

True,it;s just that I expected us to to do what the Bears did. They have gotten their wish and hit league parity, which drives the Vegas odds guys bonkers because there are no more "dynasties". Although the gnats look awful every week.I think they misplaced that memo 🤣 My new carrier got messed up again,so I could not pirate the game. By the time I got it figured out and fixed all I got to see were the teams leaving the field 🤣

Crazy start to the year. It's bad when your 5 person bench gets more points that your 9 starters. It's like "well, no coach of the year for me HAHA"

It’s a play call shocker here not every QB get control at the line and no clue if Fields has it…

But reality is if a guy is missed and come in free as your back is turned recipe for disaster…. If this was Hurts you would be throwing the OL and play caller under the bus wasn’t hurts fault

Like McLauren-started,started,benched(and of course he went off),started(and of course he sucked again lol)

Because the team with the most cap doesn’t also need OL, D help, and more offensive weapons to surround a young QB????

I forgot QB is the only position in football you have to pay for
