The key more to Carter I’ve seen as …can we keep his attention and focus? Once he’s received praise and shown himself at this level…can we keep him grinding on the pro levels of commitment? Physical Body, Technique not slipping up, coachability and maybe hardest is the film work individual study.

No no I’m not saying you didn’t say that. I’m just saying we felt Carter would long term be a great replacement for Hargrave but this early? I don’t think many of us did. Maybe you did though bud.

Believing I’m looking at Carter as the long term Fletch replacement. Probably little nit picky point of view. Cox such a huge part of this franchise for so many years. That’s a huge deal!

Hargrave kicked some butt for us. But came as a FA for a decent chunk of the prime of his career. But him going to Santa Clara feels a bit more personal. I’m probably the most hyper sensitive to the Niners being in our way and big titan heavyweight showdowns. It’s started between the two of us. But not nearly over. Hargrave lost me. Probably anywhere but Niners or dallas….we’ll never the g-men..obviously …puke! He’s the enemy. Rather see Dickerson get opportunities to punch Hargave in the mouth….than going backwards so much in pass pro. He’s a targeted player..it’s personal a bit.

He took the money. Took it from us. Now really cashed in with them. Much less an Eagles. Hargrave just seen as a pro FA.

Rosie grabbing Roby looking like a very wise decision. Could prove very key. Give him all the credit on this answer.

I’m fairly serious about being more realistic about this long trying NFL schedule. Get that early Meadowlands turf experience. Then take a partial bye week against the Phins. Playing the game. So not just surrendering. But giving Mariota and more depth guys have to carry the load. Maybe still dress Hurts. If it comes down to Mariota keeping it winnable looking at the fourth quarter? Insert Hurts to finish it off. Mariota has been terrible at the end of games. Even with the lead. Maybe just get blown out. But not impossible Mariota could helm this team to keep it close. Couple of turnovers by the D wouldn’t hurt. Quality ST.

Then looking at Washington and dallas…before the scheduled bye week.

Chiefs, Niners, Bills and then visit  to Jerry World after the bye.

This team is just so damn impressive! Every week they go out there and they get it done. What a time to be an eagles fan!

I know deliberately taking a week off isn’t the sexiest idea and plan. Maybe labeled a bit soft of a team for doing so.

Got some serious meat on our schedule coming up though. I’m even comfortable with going out there saying the league front office is against us. Those SB conditions on every level. The way they look to be targeting against our Brotherly Love Shove

Yeah it’s a gauntlet but I mean this team just keeps winning. One week at a time and let’s see where we can get to.

Been rumored the whole time. Ravens coughed up money and traded for Roquan. Queen is a pending FA they clearly chose another route to pursue instead. You seem to have a hard time even paying one LB. They made their choice. Queen wasn’t it. Now can maybe argue he looks great beside playing with such a stud in Roquan. Think they just look both great together. I can’t really dig at choosing Roquan. He’s great! So we’ll pluck your second best LB choice and make him out top playmaker in the middle of the D. Put him beside Dean would be ideal. Have seemed to have found Cunningham and Murrow to provide depth and rotation.

Haven't seen any rumors....only thing that has been a constant..is Baltimore being all in this year. They believe they are contenders.   Queen I've seen say that he likes this system and is perfect for him to play in during a contract year.

Do we need to trade #93 next year because we drafted a couple of DTs?  Is it illegal for a contending team to have their players play out their contracts and look to get paid the following year from another team?

I didn't realize that just because a team has no plans to sign a guy long term, that they have to trade the player?

Is that new?

Idk...seemed like he did well after winning a national championship...he kinda wanted to win again.   I assume chasing a Superbowl would be easier to stay motivated than a national champion ship

Right...I have absolutely no loyalty toward him... glad he got overpaid in SF....they have one year window here...that's going to be a bad contract for them

You seemed very sold on it with Fields in very similar situation. I would argue that Fletch is a perfect trade chip for us potentially. If all those guys are working out we just drafted in the last three years? Then it’s their time now.

They obviously could afford it. Along with LB, S and RB.

Not close between Hargave and Cox

Is Baltimore picking 1st?

Is Queen not a starter?

I mean they cleared cap in 2017... 6 years later still chasing the Eagles.   They don't get there this year, they are in trouble cap wise.

Can Davis last durably wise? Milton and Carter are on clear track. Moro I think has already shown them he brings quality right away. They weren’t just letting him go. Everything I heard Ojomo was beating out the rest of the depth competition. Street can then be kept instead of dumped as deep quality contributing depth. Have Barnett capable of playing inside to add rest capability moments for the DTs.

Fields and Queen are starters. If you are willing to pay Queen this offseason as a FA? Then I’m sure he’d embrace you coughing up the dough right now. Huge financial difference reasoning. If we have Hurts..cough cough hahaha…just let Queen know we are more than willing to pay him now? Wouldn’t likely take much for him to start forcing this trade to happen. What would Queen accept as a contract now to just skip more risk towards cashing in on FA?
