It's amazing....such crap at P...yet 26 and 27...means 5 and 6 teams have had worse punting.... why haven't those teams found a better punter?

And really... thr other 13 or 14 teams who are inches to 4 feet per average better....they should be looking too?

It's just so illogical to think the answer is there aren't any better ones out there?

Seems Iike really the logical answer for all these teams.  When you don't have an anti Roseman bias and understand it's more than just the Eagles.

I was extremely jealous watching the KC punter consistently pinning them inside the 5

It's why they won the SB... we only scored after one of their 2 punts.... thr other was the fumble....the punter did a great job forcing Hurts to fumble.

If a punter is consistently punting... that's nothing to be jealous of.  I like that it's been a while since I've seen a bunch of punts from my team.

https://www.footballdb.com/statistics/nfl/player-stats/punting  According to this list we don't have a punter 🤣

So,using this list if you click at the top you can change the parameters and noone is a clear winner(maybe the TB punter is the best overall). I have no clue where our guy ranks

They really should re-do the "inside the 20" .I would be more interested in "inside the 10" because the 20 really isn't going to affect anything much. Inside the 5 or out of bounds at the 5 would be even better. That would really separate the listing above. Inside the 20 is nothing special IMO. Of course that all depends on WHERE you are kicking from

At any rate we are stuck with who we have unless someone better comes along,so get used to it. They may even call Siposs back if this guy stinks

Yeah....you are just focusing on the Eagles again....I'm looking at the whole picture.

How can I put this more clearly.  Who has been unearthed in the last 3 years at P?     Around the league?   Which teams are finding punters recently?

I have 7 P drafted the last two drafts

Two P behind us on average P. We had Syposs worse. The rookie is last we cut.

Like every other team found a better guy…some how

TB Carmada second best P. Second year as a pro.

Wright Vikings third best P. Second year as a pro

Do I really need to look up every P? Tons of these guys just entered the league last three years

The other teams found P

Logical that 31 other teams a dozen of which found a better P than us over the last three years. What’s illogical ? Which part are you struggling with? Our P has stunk the whole time ST coach has been here. Year Three here. Your reasoning of just no other guy has been on this Earth to upgrade the last three years is terrible. Other teams found a better guy during that same time. Problem was he stuck with a crappy one that his ceiling was bottom feeder level. Now moving on. Maybe switch up again here. Go to Brazil…Argentina…there is talent everywhere. Find a guy…or find a coach who can. Simple.

Decent point. But nothing wrong with playing D either. Really the field goal kicking has become so impressive. 50 yarders are so normal now. Used to be big decision time.

After going undrafted in 2022, the former Tulane punter ended up signing with the Vikings and it didn't him long to beat out Jordan Berry for the starting job.

Ryan Stonehouse

It's too bad that punters don't get more consideration for rookie of the year, because Stonehouse certainly deserved to be in the conversation after a completing one of the most impressive punting seasons in NFL history.

The undrafted free agent averaged 53.1 yards per punt in 2022, which smashed Sammy Baugh's NFL record that had stood for 82 years (Baugh averaged 51.4 yards per punt

Undrafted record smasher. But there just was nobody out there but the worst guys. Ohh…and all these other P just entered the league. Capped off by this undrafted stud.

  • Author

Logical that we’ve just missed out. This guy probably because we were holding on to your boy Syposs. No competition….didn’t even try. Could have given the job to Stonehouse. Celebrated a parade. Good call….not

Frank Clark being released stinks for us. Was thinking trading Fletch could arguably be one of our best wisest assets here come the deadline. But you’d just pick up Clark at this moment. Can maybe read some tea leaves on which teams show interest in bringing in Clark. Teams that lose out on him could be ideal trade partners for us. Well…you know…the crappy teams…that is….the ones willing to sell.

Speaking of reading the tea leaves: looked like Slay broke down last season. Like his age maybe being a factor finally hitting on him. Maybe lean towards the nicest way of just saying he doesn’t have the recovery healing speed enough to last through the long season anymore. Now he’s out with a knee injury…already. I’d play him the game against the cowboys. Then ice him until…the next game against the cowboys. Just making ‘the call’ that his body just can’t go 20 games anymore…if ever. Time to figure out what these young bunch CBs can do. Time to save Big Play Slay for…the Big Games. Looking at two years of this with him. He’s the first domino gotta try to put on the shelf and conserve.

The way I see it have Jobe, Ricks and Ringo to play outside. Want to figure these players out this season. Much better than redshirting only ST rostering them for three years before trying to figure out their usefulness….or lack there of…depending. Goodrich….there is still time to develop him and that he can turn the page on developing into the backup slot CB. Sidney Brown I feel fairly confident in that he is going to work out in a versatile DB role. Slot CB he looks to be capable of at least contributing in the rotation at. Which helps bring disguise and doubt about what role he is actually playing that moment for the opponent to guess at.

This is just the first year of Desai building his vaunted Philly Phighting D! So not just looking at one game here. Not even a block of games necessarily. Talking bigger picture importance big time here. Penciling in Goodrich as developing into a backup role at Slot CB. Sidney multiple D weapon! Jobe looks the part of showing capable as the backup outside CB. Hopefully even more….like taking over the starting role ….now. Heck I’m high on all these young DBs. I really like the potential of Ricks and Ringo as well. Desai developing these five young DBs for his D capabilities…goes such a long way towards his D. Heck this whole team. Maddox isn’t durable. But he works much better having a stud like him, yeah I think that highly of him in the slot, as long as you have quality backup options for the inevitable. Thinking Roby factoring in this and next season hopefully. But Roby, Bradberry and Slay are in the twilight of their careers. So having young blood developing under their tutelage is an ideal scenario for them. Being that our DBs are older…the young blood will be needed to produce…NOW!
