Joe,do you think Cox has his number retired? So many kick arse years here

Nah... I mean look at #17.  That should be retired.  But I'm not a fan of all these retired #s.

But you don't think a KC , Buffalo or Dallas would give up a 4th round pick to add him in their rotation this year?

I do....and I think the Eagles do not want to do that.

Nope because we will face those teams in post season. No sense giving ammo to your enemy

I think when they retire a number, they should put them up as say 17a,if you get another player at 17,retire that as 17b and so on and you also get to use number 17 again on the field.IMO Cox is worthy

I think they added 0 and 00 for that reason, but my idea works better

Just put them in the team ring of honor....that's enough

Btw.... on your phone...say any player over the cap... and then you can go make a transaction... cut or trade pre or post June 1st.

Takes 5 seconds and you can see the effect on the cap.

Not rocket science.   That site is great for seeing everything about the cap, comp picks ...etc.   and it takes very little time.

But I like facts and numbers more so than fantasy and theory.  So to each their own.

Then take that OTC figure vs team unity/moral of current/future players. Do we want to be a strictly x's and O's team or one that shows they're invested in their players as long as they're playing well? Cox still in on 70% of plays, unlike JP who I loved but could no longer depend on being availlable.

You love to take your shots at Gainwell don’t you lmao…

You do realize Gainwell vs a stout NE D had 3.9ypc yet the best D unit Swift has played to date LA held him to 4.1ypc right…. We talking difference of .02 yards

Obviously swift is the better pure runner but it is also pretty clear why Gainwell won the starting job during camp when you actually watched Swift and the other guys try and pass protect.

Kinda hard to so case your running skills when you don’t really have contact in camp.

Right in your statement it says "obviously Swift is the better” that’s all. I’m fine with Gainwell actually. Just not starting. As a complimentary third string Rb he fits nicely.

But the mismanagement of the cap with only $59 mil... and the shortage of draft picks next year.

Saving that $3 mil is so crucial in recovering from the huge whole the Eagles are in.  🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🧑‍⚕️

Middle of the D is lacking. Dean coming back will help. Sidney too. Roby on the slot also. Just a matter of whether you are just going through the motions? Or going All In this season?

The question revolves around how much does it improve our odds to win the SB by making moves?

I don’t think we got it this season actually.

And nothing against this awful idea...but show me a trade that you think the Eagles could make for Cox?

Cox a 2024 second a second next year for Baker…maybe

Cox a first and 2025 second for Queen maybe

What do you think we get for Cox?  4th round pick?   Idk...you yell me...I don't see value for a bad team to trade for him.   Why would the Eagles trade him to a competitor?

Was thinking a third round equivalent

So we can agree a bad team has no use for Cox this year, especially knowing he really isn't going to be happy leaving Philly.

So do we trade Cox to KC? SF? Dallas?  Detroit?    Buffalo?

Who is the team that makes sense to get us the day 3 pick?

Don’t agree Gannon wouldn’t like to add him. Really potentially a great match

I don't care who plays the first snap...ie who starts.    I prefer Swift to be on the field for as much as possible...when the big play is needed.   The blocking, the plays where we need sound assignments from the RB...that's where Gainwell can play.

Splitting time maxes out the production and protects from injury.   The right guy in the right situation is going to matter more than " who starts " or the % split.

I really prefer a 3rd RB to factor in...so we can get back to 2021 rushing.  We get 2021 rushing...with the better group of WRs and the better passer that Hurts is now...that's the ideal situation.

Right...  leaving out emotions... strictly business...  what do you think we can get for Cox?

I think we can get a 4th round pick from a contender.    I don't think bad teams are going to give up much for him for one year.

Obviously trade value with anybody(including the guy we attain) will depend on player signing extensions

I see Fletch loving the idea of extending another two seasons with a team really wants him

The question revolves around....what do you get in return for Cox....and which team do you have to trade him to?

A team we are in competition with makes no sense...  let's say we can get a late 3rd round pick... the Eagles won't do it.

From there .... a later pick makes no sense for the Eagles.

For a bad team, Cox has no value for one year.

This is why it's difficult to understand what you are thinking....also because you always speak vaguely instead of coming up with a specific scenario.

Great move to dismantle that team and let Chip take the fall.  Was best thing for Lurie and Howie

Where you miss how it destroyed our Championship Window though. Got us a ring though. That part is great. Could have been a run there with Pedey instead of so downhill. We look  to be in that same cycle again..,just without the parade.

Ok...First.... Queen isn't going anywhere,  Baltimore wants to keep him this year and he wants to play there and be on the open market next year.

2nd....why would AZ do it?  Why wouldn't they prefer more picks?

Sounding like Clark going back to KC. He’s a key player that is in the way of us trading any DT clearly.

What championship window?   They didn't win a playoff game for almost a decade... DeSean here in 2008...Shady and Maclin and Vick 2009.   How many chances did that group need.  They were not winning anything.  Flag football team

I see no team trading for him with that idea in mind.    I see him wanting to stay here.

We're you thinking a 3rd round equivalent is a good trade for the Eagles......exactly now?

That would absolutely benefit the team....now?

I believe we make a trade... I believe it will be for picks.   I don't believe the other team will want one of our players.
