So again....14 mil for next season..

Or 20 mil for 2 seasons ...cap spread out over 5?

Which is better?

Signing yet another over 30 DB for more than this and next season is a terrible decision fir this team. Keep asking why he’d accept 20 when he’s standing around 14 for one?

You are his agent.   What do you think he gets combined for the next 3 seasons?

Obviously always depends on how many teams get into a bidding war. Exactly why it’s worth trying to hit the open market instead of just giving up to take the lowest possible amount without even testing it first. Guess things just come down to if we are far apart on his value in the open market.

I'm trying to figure out what you think his market value is....what is he worth as a player in each year..

2024

2025

2026

2027

Tell me and then I can discuss where the extension can come into play

But show the numbers...we can look at numbers and see.. .you keep using vague theories without examples and it's why it takes 6 hours.

Way too long to try and undue your only thinking and path you consider. I’ve done this repeatedly already for years anyway. You don’t comprehend any other way of going about the contracts but one path.

You’re saying he’ll just sign 20 mil for 2024 and 2025 being too scared to test the market. I don’t even see much risk for him to do anything but force being cut to reach the open market for him in that situation.

It's what I thought. You are the great tough guy when talking theory...when it's actual facts that can be seen as black and white....you walk away in the event the numbers prove you wrong. Per usual.

It's why you didn't answer how many wins you think the Saints will get.

Then why wouldn't you want him for more than a year?  Do you think he is good or not?

You do this all the time...play both sides so you can't be wrong

We spent a third on him. His agent would know the team has pressure to keep him for that second season. Not a great trade give up a third fior part of one season rental.

Would want him for two seasons. No more. No less.

I'm starting a weekly pool for everyone on here.

We predict the winners of every game.  Clear prediction...no gray area.   We can  count the totals at the end of the season.

Great... redo the 14 mil to spread out over the next 5 years then.

Nope. Nice try. Just done this with you several times over so many years. You can’t comprehend any alternate paths.

That would mean the 14 isn’t just dummie worthless number

You stated " suck up the $14 mil next year.

What does it mean then...what are the cap hits?

It's not a 6 hour question.  A 3rd grader could write it in 20 seconds

That's not how it works in final year.

It means he has leverage at pay him 14 or release him to the open market. Negotiations start with this fact. Very significant actually instead of worthless like you alluded to

Because your " alternative paths"  never use concrete examples...just theory.

It's why you don't get contracts.   It's not the " alternative lifestyle "

As it stands…to retain him a second season his contract hits us up for 14 mil. But I explained for us it’s 18 over the rest of this season and next season.

So you are his agent... what are you taking for a 3 year contract?
