They unloaded Edmunds...they have a million late round picks... I bet they let it play out and then release him or redo anything after the season.  Edmunds seems a step slow, the upgrade for this year is worth it

Our old Rodney McLeod has Byard ranked 2nd best S behind Minka Fitzpatrick and ahead of Budda Baker - who I thought we'd go after. Top guys cost top money, did want someone younger so it's still going to have to be addressed more sooner than later.

You mean Blankenship and Brown?

Trying to narrow down the salary. Seems like 2 yrs, 25 mill but the Titans already paid 7 of his 11 mill for this yr

As for Byard, he is due the $2.35 million in prorated base salary the rest of the year before Philadelphia will make a decision on his $9.6 million number for 2024.

And the guy stays healthy - another unbelievable trade HR! 

So the Byard trade cost Edmonds, the 2 day 3 picks and a little over 3 mill, his 9.6 mill for next yr is not guaranteed and by then we'll see how our other safeties are going to do - great trade!

Hurts not supposed to miss practice, get some time with Julio to get him more involved than just a 3 yd pass. Both pros - they'll get it done.

Yep another nice move by Howie. Julio looked a little slow,but now that he has a reason to work we could see some of the old shine polished up. I think we get him involved real soon. If he can get it back then try smith out of the slot spot. He can be used like my boy JJ. With the right guy, you can do BIG damage from the slot

There are bonuses for next year as well..  total $14.1 million...  this will get looked at after the season.  

Eagles best record in NFC.   SF defense... no sacks.

The healthy secondary suddenly looks a lot lot better after that trade. We are going to need to add during the off season with Slay looking like he’s slowing down but right now that’s a really good secondary with a bit of depth.

I would think the young guys step up a little with some experience under their belt....plus didn’t we get Rodgers from Indianapolis who is eligible to come back after the season?

I think they always add... but I'm assuming they look at both lines and LB as more priority if given a choice. 

WR depth is going to be a bigger concern as well.

On the road yesterday when my son told me about the trade. One of these days Howie is gonna get charged with rape.

Looks like it's not just me, the officiating seems to be getting worse. Like everywhere else in the world there are more cameras with more angles, many more than what they show on tv replay. On one hand if every infraction could be challenged the game would be too long, networks wouldn't support that. Many calls are subjected as well. Then there are all the missed calls. It's about time the NFL had full time refs who undergo thorough training. Also don't see why they can't keep the same 3 challenge flag rules but expand what can be challenged.
