There is only a neutral zone at the snap... it's not the same concept as " measuring 10 yards"

There is no neutral area when measuring because it's only one direction.   At the start of the play there are 2 sides....each team must stay on their side of the ball...not difficult.  The ball belongs to neither team.

If the ball belongs to neither team, I'm going to grab it and run for a TD on every play. If the ball belongs to neither team, how do the plays begin? If the ball belongs to neither team then noone has possession.I believe the offense starts with possession on every play? As I keep saying,(which you continue to not grasp) every play involves the nose of the ball EXCEPT the snap.(read that again please cause I'm tired of repeating it)

It's Thurs, Purdy still under concussion protocol, doubtful this wknd. We may put a little more distance between us going into the meat of our schedule it's needed.

Countdown's on for Rivera's tenure in wuss land. Their bye isn't until week 14, don't know if they wait that long to give Bienemy his shot

Imagining Derrick Henry or Sequan on this team - woof!

NE brought Reagor up from their PS - now they bad, LOL!

The D guy is offsides LOL. I guess the center is also? Right, every OTHER play is about the nose of the ball except THIS. I wasn't arguing that those are the rules,I was stating it is not consistent with everything else which is done using the nose of the ball

Only game that matters is Dec. 3rd

IMO this would be a good week to give AJB some relief using Julio. I don't suspect he plays alot, but it's a nice game for him to get his feet wet as a new Eagle,or drop him in the slot,or put him out and Smith in the slot. it's a good week to experiment using different sets and trying different plays

Don't know why we didn't play AJB more with the lead in last wks' game. That and rest Hurts except maybe to hide the extent of his injury, which at the time was up in the air. Garbage time reps are a great way to get non-starters in there, never know when they'll be needed plus the trade deadline's coming up - could increase a players' trade value or give us a better understanding of whether to keep them or trade. Know AJB isn't fully accustomed to our O yet, but only 1 throw for 3 yds?

The play begins with each team lining up on their side of the ball... only the center can be in the neutral zone.

Not really difficult to understand.

Center is the only guy allowed in the neutral zone... not difficult to understand.   The center, possesses the ball in order to snap...the other 21 players cannot be in the neutral zone.   Still not difficult.

You mean when Kelce is the only one wearing dark long sleeves they shouldn't have called offsides? Say it isn't so! Said that 2 days ago and this is still going on - funny.

Last time, then I'm DONE> I never argued what the rules were or that I didn't understand them,I am arguing that is the ONLY TIME the nose of the ball is not the primary factor. I UNDERSTAND THE RULE.Now understand why this is NOT CONSISTENT WITH EVERY OTHER PLAY ON THE FIELD. I'm done, not discussing this BS anymore. If you can't understand, that's not my problem. moving on.........................

After last weeks drubbing I suspect the Bills to be 1,000% better.

Bills don't look so "powerhouse" now 10-10

Buff got it going now

Tampa with awful clock management here at the end....reminds me of the Andy Reid teams we had.

Why go for 2?

The nose of the ball...is it on the goal line for a TD, a safety or a touch back.  Does the nose touch the sideline for it to be out of bounds.

What 2 things do you notice here.

1.  It's after the snap.

2.  Nothing about any players, just the ball and the lines.

Compare to the neutral zone rule.

1.  Before the snap

2.   It involves players and where they can line up.

A rule that's PRE snap involving players.. should not be " consistent " with rule that's POST snap and doesn't involve players.

It's a completely different situation.

Where it's consistent.... if a players foot or hand touches the sideline or back of the end zone...he is out of bounds, can't make a legal touch.    Similar if a players foot or hand touches the ground in the neutral zone while the ball is snapped...illegal.

It's absolutely consistent in the player being in an illegal area on the ground.
