Didn't know Calcetera had concussion probs in college, pretty bad by what I've been reading. Hope he gets well soon, maybe football isn't for him.

Unfortunately I think he should be replaced also. We have a habit though of giving our guys every possible chance. I'm ok with that but at times it can be frustrating as to why we carry "dead wood" I would suppose during the next draft we find another TE with a mid pick. Until then.......

Rewatched the game. D plays so passively. Bad blitzing team too. Frustrating!

Dont want to throw shade on anybody as I have no inside info. But the eye test says Chase Young played that game with the mindset that if he doesn’t get injured, he’s leaving town to a contender. He is just too athletic to get OWNED by Mailata. Effort was occasional. Just my two cents which might only be worth one cent.

Eli Ricks was LOST on defense. Dude, watch some film!

Lots of hate for Gainwell, but he can pick up a blitzer damn well. Better than most RBs. The fumble was bad. He is human.

AJ Brown’s first TD was sick! Wow!

Gotta get Goedert more involved in the receiving game.

Game of the year is next week. Please Eagles, play a mistake free and highly effective game! PLEASE!

I agree with most of this. Ricks is leaning on the job. When you started your job were you a pro day 1? Kid has talent,we'll bring it out,but it's not happening in a few weeks. He was supposed to be sitting back and learning, but we tossed him into the fire. If he plays I'm sure Dullaz will pick on him as most teams pick on rooks, it's all part of the game,so before we go trashing the kid give him some time to get experience. Look at Blankenship, then give Ricks the same time. Will it hurt? Sure, but how else can he gain NFL experience unless he PLAYS. ALL teams have this to deal with. If he sucks by years end, then fine replace him,but god give these kids a chance to learn. Practice is practice and there is nothing that replaces game time snaps. I agree with all the rest. I will mention one more thing though, Hurts better learn how to hang onto a football because Dullaz will be coming after Hurts. They have good LB's who can strip balls,so STOP the called QB runs, just STOP IT. We can afford ZERO turnovers next week. We need to win the turnover battle(and make them pay)

Split with Dallas and lose the 2 AFC games...  that's wins vs SF and more importantly Seattle...as long as Seattle and Dallas lose another game in there that keeps us ahead.  Detroit we don't play so they would have to lose a couple too.

I don't want a split with Dullaz,I want to beat them twice 😜. We need to stop coming out flat. We should be beyond 15 minutes of "warm up" We should come out smoking on the first drive

Dak is a pretty bad fumbler,so let's get in his face. We need more pass rush than we are getting and I want the edges to belong to US. I feel that is imperative this game.If they can beat us on end around/TE or RB flare plays it will be a long day

Blankenship admitted he struggled yesterday accomplishing his assignments.   We don't know the coverages...the switches and who was supposed to go where.    I just noticed soft coverages and easy passes in the middle....idk about the anger specifically toward Ricks???   I mean,  I saw Blankenship,  Slay and Bradberry get beat.... not sure why Sen specifically is angry at Ricks?   It's like complaining your clothes got wet because it's drizzling but after you just got out of the pool?

RB snaps... Swift 44....Gainwell 19... Scott 1.

Scott is paid the most... I don't get it.  The committee needs the 3 man split.   We need to cut down Swift's snaps when he isn't necessarily impacting the play.  64 snaps...the #3 needs at least 10, id prefer 15 to 20. ...and take a few carries too.

Admittedly we have secondary issues. That should be nothing new to anyone who follows this teams. It's an annual event. Slay could be slowing down now. he will be on CeeDee which could be a huge problem. Byard should help in the middle. I didn;t watch the game only the highlight plays via Redzone. Did Byard play?

Well,Swift is the most "explosive" of the 3. The guy that can break one and take it to the house,so I understand why they lean on him. I would like to see more of a mix like you though. If we're clock burning at the ends of the 1/2's then the other 2 should be used for that "grind" IMO,but Swift is the most elusive. Still shocked Penny is riding pine. he can bash lines for 2-3 yards and wear them down. Still at a loss as to why he isn't playing AT ALL. Seems to me he would be more effective than Scott, but hard to know because penny hasn't played. I'm SMH over this

Yes... he seemed to be out there the whole time

Idk the strategy.... but I also feel like they play too many snaps in a row too.   Mix them up and keep them fresh.

Byard... Blankenship, Slay and Bradberry played all 72 snaps.

Even so,it may take a little time before he "gets it".I hope that happens THIS week LOL

Maybe we try Ringo soon IDK very hard playing musical chairs here

I agree....first week...plus Washington is just a tough matchup with their WRs and style.  They were humiliated last week vs NYG so they came out with an edge.

The Dallas matchup is better for our D....with the style they play.  Plus one more week for Byard to get into the swing.

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=ALL  For reference he(Ringo) was ranked as a top of round 2 talent,so what's going on? Ricks was like around 117. Is he a dufus on the learning curve?

I don't think they are changing players ....the Washington game was more scheme issues.   We move on now to Dallas.

Carter having MRI today. Suh wants to play - just sayin

I'm wondering about Fournette.... seems like a perfect guy to come in for 15 snaps a game and compliment the other guys.

What good would that do? Siri is going to shove Gainwell anyway.

44 snaps for Swift... you can use Fournette there to bring that down... Sanders only had 59% of the snaps....basically because they had to take him out on key downs.

Swift should be in there on key downs.  The committee approach has the 3 guys rotating in to stay fresh. Fournette on early downs or that goal line is ideal.

You want to rest Hurts, Smith, Lane and half the defense.... why is it a difficult concept to do the same with Swift, who plays a position that gets tackled and piled on by multiple defensive players?

Swift had almost 70% of the snaps.  Gainwell 29%.

What is the point of using the 3rd guy 1% ....if he is your highest paid guy?

As the winter approaches... running the ball should happen more, need all 3 guys doing it to maximize the results.  2021 style.

Swift.....16 carries for 57 yards....  2 catches for 7 yards.... really not lighting it up with the volume.

Gainwell had 5 catches for 30 yards.   And was " shoved by Siri "  ...lol.   with 2 carries.

Those 2 carries...so overused.   Yet the peanut gallery can't see the issue with Swift.   He carries it 8 times more than Gainwell... 3.6 yards a carry isn't good.

We need that other rusher in there to make these other 2 more of the receiving backs that compliment the rushing attack.
