Eagles had more pressures of 2 seconds or less than any other team (42).

I'm ok on being a yard short....that's automatic with the QB sneak.  That hasn't been a factor yet.  But that cushion on defense repeatedly keeps the other team on the field

It's bad habit to get into, should be corrected

Both big time paid guys that are….way underpaid still.

You seem concerned a lot about their pay... are you getting a percentage?

Top pass rushers are earning twice as much as these two guys are. It creates a tricky situation. Reddick made it known he deserved a raise after last season. But Sweat coming on like this adds a whole other complication here. How can you pay one without the other?

The shorter route a lot of times is the easier completion.    Think of the math...what is the difference in success rate knowing the defense is playing at the marker...compared to the percentage they make the sneak?

They signed the contract early....Sweat especially...before he did anything.  Was a good deal.   Reddick will save cap space with an extension... that's an easy one.

QBs were getting $ 50 mil per right...  Hurts total cap hit $73 mil for 4 years.   You do the contract correctly, not a problem.

Btw... the other guys are overpaid.  49ers guys especially.  Parsons will be the next overpaid guy.

Not much difficulty difference between 6 and 8 yards. if the QB can't handle that difference we have the wrong QB

Wuss poached guard/center Julian Good-Jones from our PS

Actual sign at NYC Marathon - "I was going to make you a sign, but Michigan stole it!"

boyz signed WR Martavis Bryant now that he's been reinstated.

I agree...not much different between 6 and 8yards.... except for when the defense knows that you need 7 yards...then the degree of difficulty goes up because they defend the marker.

I mean.. the other obvious thing...you blitz and force the QB to get rid of the ball on a short pass...it's much easier to cover that.  Mixing that up and saving your DL from getting exhausted might help.

We can't have 3rd and 10 converted so easily with a soft zone and 4 DBs playing 20 yards downfield.

Amen Amen and Amen! Mind boggling and pisses me off…..not that the team or players give a crap what I think. Haha.

Your opinion can be they are over paid. But it’s what’s known as The Market. Market value. These players getting their money in their bank accounts and how it comes off our team’s cap are very separate things. Main correlation being that all that money going in their bank does come out of the salary cap…somewhere. So bragging about the largest mega contract we’ve ever signed not being paid for on any near or past cap? I don’t see the same as you. Not something I look at with my chest out making me feel all warm and fuzzy. I see it as all being roadblocks to overcome ahead. The fact we have so much future cap money spent on play of yesterday and today is a hinderance. That fact along with knowing how the contracts already have been leveraged heavily to avoid paying that piper yet not brag worthy situation to me.
See even with Rosie signing excellent bargain contracts on Reddick and Sweat aren’t all smelling so Rosie. Because those guys both I guarantee are chomping at getting raises. Have to look into their contracts more thoroughly but seems highly likely neither guy is suiting up for us next season under these conditions.

Sweat has that option for next season. So his is more tricky to thoroughly understand all options. But clearly looks like his contract is massively backloaded. 2 mil bonus for back to back 7 sack seasons. Not sure that’s been factored in on this years cap hit toll yet even.

Javon Hargrave ($11.96 million), Brandon Brooks ($9.80 million) and Isaac Seumalo ($7.53 million) are the Dead Cap hits this season amongst others. When was the last time Brooks even helped this team? Just take these numbers and situations and apply them to everything going forward.

Or just remember recent history of this Rosie cap/contract cycle. 2016 putting things together while opening up the spending spree to come the next season. 2017 SB fantastic team winning it all under the backup QB. Then 2018 contending team. But not favored. One that needed some good luck to have a shot to repeat. Made an excellent run at it that year. Arguably overachieved. But Alshon bobbled dropped catch turning interception derailed what could have been. 2019 total dropoff in the roster level. Snuck in the backdoor  to make the postseason. Should have been victorious for one playoff win over the Clowney Seachickens. But wasn’t a contending team. Then 2020 Rock Bottom. Even with Rosie investing hard in that crap low potential team.
2021 eerily identical to 2016. Except Hurts carried the team to the postseason. Huge accomplishment and valuable experience to the almost whole new franchise. 2022 All in SB stolen from us. 2023…I’ve been consistently seeing as a lesser team than we fielded last season. Now maybe they are proving me slightly wrong and are a stronger contender than I’ve believed. But situation on contracts. Cap and aging top talent very similar to past cycle.

My mind wants to look for how we can improve next year and the next. Or how it was possible this year from last? Have to say things have worked out near dream like this season. Shocked Rosie got this strong a team together this season. But still not seen by any knowledgeable fans or media as improved.
Just how many times does the dream SB season story ever begin with: well we aren’t as talented as last year? Or…we did a great job of trying to not lose too much talent?

You repeat the same things every year and every year Howie puts together a strong roster lol… You would think by.l now you would realize Howie pretty good at Manipulating the cap.

And the position we don’t invest in are the positions we never invest in like LB

True,that's where talent takes over

This is literally every team in the league and the ones that overcome these cycles are the ones with top QBs that mask the flaws on the rosters

look at KC they aren’t in some great cap space you don’t think they don’t want better WRs???

SF is looking solid right now no CBs and no draft picks how do we think they will look in 3 years???

LB,S,CB,RB all usually imported FA's/trades. Howie wants solid lines,he always has. I was happy he finally addressed WR after learning about his Reagor Boo Boo LOL. We are usually good at finding and developing TE's but we need to find a stronger candidate than we have been. I thought Calcatera showed promise, but that won't work for 1/3 of a season. He seems prone to concussions. That kid we got off Denver-OG I liked him alot in that draft. He plays hard. He is rough, but the raw talent is there. I mean he is REALLY rough,so alot of refining for him ahead. But we're pretty good at developing those,so expect to see him playing next year,or even a few snaps late this year. Another area Howie could make an impact is to get a decent slot guy next draft. A kid you can count on for 4 years. I mean we had Quez,he was ok for a year, then fell out of favor by botching crucial plays. We could use that "Edelman" ,the reliable go to other than TE. Howie has done a nice job the last few years, some exceptional steals like AJ and Slay, who may be slowing down now,so there is always room to improve. Need to remember Howie totally replaced JP who we thought was irreplaceable

Reagor was Reagor Mortis. The Vikes have been thanking us every year LOL

Best out look this season relies on Desai being an improvement over Gannon. About all I got.

IDK the wins this year seem "ugly". Not at all what I expected, but we're scrappy. I was expecting more "refined",but an ugly win is still a win.Hurts deep ball accuracy is much improved, that was a knock we(well most of us) had on him. Now that that has apparently been taken care of,he isn't seeing the field like I would like, missing open guys. IDK what's going on there, but so far we are covering the bad stuff up. Running game started out well, now starting to sputter, maybe Joe is right on that front,or maybe on my front,we need that basher back. IDK but we need to figure that out if we're going to get past week 18. Steen did alot better than I expected,so I was happy about that. He held his own against one of the better D lines. When Jurgens slides into C,he should be fine at RG,so Howie has ensured the Oline will be decent at minimum. Mailata,Dickerson, great pick ups, looks like Jurgens and Steen will be also. Carter starting to be a wrecking ball already too,so that looks good going forward. I'm glad we got Dean LATE,jury still out on him
