3 things that I think help the run game.

1. Jurgens

2. Participation from a 3rd RB.

3.  More commitment to it.

We know Jurgens is coming back, I'm hoping some reps from Penny... and with the colder weather, there should be a natural commitment to it.

And Hurts going to have to pull the ball down and take off when it is warranted

Dallas Cowboys news reveals the team is expecting to be without starting linebacker Leighton Vander Esch for the remainder of the season. Dallas is also preparing to be without C.J. Goodwin, a key member of the special teams unit.

Happy Birthday DeVonta Smith

8-1 · .459

Biggest needs: RB, Edge, WR, LB, CB

Week 11 opponent: at Chiefs

Going to need our running game w/ their pass D. Our pass rush must be full on w/o over doing it - Mahomes makes their WR look better than they are.

Beginning to see some odds makers taking the Eagles.

IMO we need to see what RG looks like by years end. RB is always a "NEED" by the rankers every year lol Trotter and a decent slot guy fit my draft agenda(yes I will admit to this "agenda"). As i said before Trotter, pick your lineman, decent slot pick would be my first 3 personally. CB is an annual need but taking Trotter at least helps the annual need at LB.If Dean works out, great, him with Trotter would be awesome,if he fans Trotter can still gives us a great player at LB. Lineman-need to know for sure the RG we have(jurgens or Steen) is the guy going forward,if we aren't POSITIVE,then take one with pick 2. If we are I'm fine with a pick on the D line. 3rd pick should be a decent slot guy. Not looking for "fast" I am looking at "quick"/"Agile"(and there is a difference) Show me a speedy guys top cone drill or relay with hands that can grab lasers, and that's my guy. Should not have to reach for any of the above picks although there is a danger Trotter moves up boards, but right now he is at the end of 1,so maybe a little tweak to get him,but I would and we have some draft assets to do it. Maybe Howie bucks tradition based on name recognition. I will dream until his name is not called HAHAHAHA. After those 3 take who you want,a young CB with pick 4 would be fine with me. We have young guys that are learning on the job,so expect some screw ups,but they need to learn to get better. RB with pick 5,then depth guys the rest of the way. I like the Denver TE kid as I said, but another TE we can groom would be good too. So that's how I see the way too early draft shaping up

Tyreek Hill made Mahomes look good early, now it's reversed, but Skye Moore is no Hill LOL. Let's try to not drop the ball this time. Hurts is carrying it even looser than before and that needs cleaned up

From BGN: despite going from No. 1 in pass defense last year to No. 28 this year, the Eagles are only allowing one more offensive point per game this year (19.0 last year, 20.1 this year). And pass defense doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It’s not just the D-backs that go into the equation but linebacker coverage as well. According to Pro Football Focus, Nicholas Morrow and Zach Cunningham are ranked 12th and 17th among 78 linebackers who’ve played at least 100 coverage snaps. That’s very good. But Nakobe Dean ranks 70th. Dean has been rotating with Morrow and Cunningham, and honestly he’s been a liability in coverage.

S Justin Evans’ 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve was opened.

TE Noah Togiai and OL Lecitus Smith were signed to the practice squad.

TE E.J. Jenkins was released from the practice squad.

Did ( do ) think Jenkiins is a good player to develop, think we'll see him again if he doesn't sign elsewhere. Just needed the room.

Well TBH other than Dullaz we haven't played a potent offense. That will change now. We beat Dullaz by dodging the bullet twice by INCHES, They kets are putting up 31PPG but NOT allowing 31. We're ok on point 1,point 2 is very shaky and we have our toughest games here in the next 4-5 weeks,so I suspect those "almost close" numbers to be radically different

IDK how is he responsible for Allen throwing picks? Running game looked good enough, play calls looked fine IMO,maybe they should fire Allen? It's like us firing Siri because Hurts dropped the ball in the SB

I don't know how he's responsible for WRs dropping 4 passes in the first half

Hopefully Boston Scott is finally ok and ready to roll. But it might be Penny. Penny should be fresh and rearing to go. Hungry!

Boston Scott it possibly appears never properly cleared all cobwebs after that week 3 concussion. Each time he came in he contributed with a meaningful touch.

How does this passive ass defense even slow down Mahomes to keep the game close….in KC?

Now you maybe are jumping the gun here…just a bit. This game will be the first time of actually seeing our starting Secondary together. Bradberry/ Slay. Roby manning the slot. Byard and Blankenship at S. I actually am liking this setup.

  • Author

That job and adjustment Desai made versus the Rams… in particular…gives a reasonable faith in his abilities.

  • Author

Cook it almost is considered mandate of Siri for the D to just not give up the big plays. So some of that is HC team philosophy. Which is where you are completely correct.

They’ve been taking some hits. They still are looking pretty good though.

Our practice squad situation is what I found very interesting here.

Teams now have more flexibility with using practice squad players on game day. PS players can be activated on game day before the team announces their inactives (90 minutes before game time). The player doesn’t have to be elevated from the PS to the main roster for the move. This can happen with up to two practice squad players per week. A player is now able to be elevated three times per season. To be activated a fourth time requires the player to be signed to the regular roster.

  • Author

Devon Allen and Mekhi Garner both have been elevated twice.

  • Author

So we still have one more free PS elevation for both. It’s the fourth elevation that automatically means they are placed on 53 man roster.
