If they IR him he may never return. Only get so many each season you can pull off IR. But his main opportunity would be lying right now with Goedert down. If he isn’t ready to roll now…after the bye? Might have to move in other directions here.

Iron Sharpens iron. Maybe our guys will be a bit tougher going into post season than the previous 2 years of cake walks where we had only a f ew weeks of tough games(post season) to gear up for the big dance. Well I will say it again(to myself) Howie needs to buck tradition and take Trotter. I know it's something Howie doesn't like doing,but we could really use a young stud prospect in the LB group(Clemson also has another young stud LB). They are probably right on their day 3 assumption because that's what we do. But I think besides being a potential top LB he could be a mentor for others for years to come. Maybe the name recognition will have an effect. Trotter and Dean could be a potential LB power duo if Dean can play up to his potential

Dude... I promise to engage and listen as much as you want about the draft...  AFTER THE SEASON.   We are in the middle of a good fight for playoff position here...with half a season left.  Let's not worry about the draft yet.

Players cost more though.

Like maybe we could extend Cunningham here. He seems to be the main guy to me. Murrow maybe found his place if he decides to stay cheap enough. But as a more rotational specialist. If you get a stud next to Cunningham things will look a whole lot different.

There is a certain LB becoming a big ticket FA.

Need Jobe and Pat John playing those core ST. Scott/ Penny choice will be KR also.

VanSumerin I keep toying with his possibilities to contribute. ST? Yes. Come in a few snaps at a specific limited LB role. Utilize him on O as FB. Maybe HBack and even TE duties.
