Still 1 more day,I'm hoping Cox can play even in a reduced role

What I've been reading is Ertz has lost a step. We already know he's a poor blocker but he has sure hands. Still believe in my previous post. HR makes things work, cap is tight but we're actually good next yr.

Zach Ertz's release from Arizona has been brewing over the last three weeks. It was a mutual parting of ways. #Eagles, #Ravens, #Bills and #Chiefs most in the mix on the 3x Pro Bowler as of right now. While interest is high, it really comes down to what type of role Ertz is looking for. He wants to win and is still a valuable pass-catching weapon.

Those are your SB contenders(besides the 9ers and Fins and Dullaz who should be pleased with Ferguson) I doubt kelce would be thrilled having to lose target to Ertz/ Bills possible and with Andrews out Ravens also

I was watching the stream chat and it was comical where people were calling the boyz and KC in the SB because of last nights win. Hawks are a .500 club and they thought "this is our year" as they do annually 🤣

It would seem to indicate how clueless they are. The Hawks were in the game all the way and Dullaz couldn't put them down at HOME, Had to barely eek out a win. I want to beat them at ATT but first things first LOL. This should be the biggest test for us until post season. I'm expecting another great game.

Linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring) and safety Justin Evans (knee) are both out while tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) is doubtful. Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (groin) and tight end Grant Calcaterra (ankle) are both questionable.

Evans situation looking bleak. Gotta assume he was brought off IR and then suffered a setback. Think mid next week decision has to be made on whether to activate him on the 53 or be lost for the season.

Forgot, that old memory thing, the pain patch and headache meds don't help

Rosie treated Ertz so well. Actually told him the night before his last game, which was at home, that he was being traded to Cards. Said it was real special to have that opportunity to soak up the Linc fans one last time knowing. Super rare because if he got injured the trade would have died. Ertz saw it coming he wasn’t getting extended here…so wasn’t any shock. Believe several teams were bidding on him even. We got Tay Gowan and a fifth for him. So must have come down to how highly they thought of Gowan. NFL such a business but Ertz was treated well by us. Goedert needed to rise though. So felt like he was forcing the move. That offseason they even made it extremely clear Goedert was the starter now going in. Worked out very well for Goedert that Ertz departed. He thrived.

Wondering if they will be "head hunting" this game because we likely will see them again in the playoffs

Supposed to rain at the Linc Sunday, IDK why the 9ers fans are overly concerned about this

Leonard more important imo but would welcome Ertz as well. We have O weapons, need depth OL and run stopper.

Off ball LB seemingly could become real crucial real quick.

He’s put up respectable numbers since leaving…when able to play

Ertz runs quality routes and can catch. He was more the make the catch for his yardage guy. Goedert has brought us the YAC TE. So Ertz I still believe to be more than serviceable for his role. Not ST. Not blocking. Not YAC. Good route and read on the D coverage and secure the catch player.

BTW I did hear Vick did a 180,not just about dogs, but his life in general. Kudos to him for having the balls to fix himself. sounds like a cool dude

He impressed me and I had no expectation.

Sure Calcattera has done what exactly lol I’d definitely feel more confident in Ertz as a rental for the rest of 2023 v Cal

I would feel better with GB at TE....granted it was high school and over 40 years ago... but wtf has Calcaterra done here?   I have no faith in him at all.

It's about how we treated him on his departure

He wanted out.

Maybe after the season ended, but not overnight LOL

Is HR waiting to see how healthy Swift can remain before giving him an extension?

Not sure it’s in the cards. Swift, like Sanders, is setup to get paid in FA this offseason. That second contract after the rookie deal expires is always the moment for players to cash in financially. The kind of money that changes your family for generations.

You always want to have cap rollover money going into the next season. That’s the amount of money you have on next year’s cap …over the cap allotment. Important part of how the salary cap management is massaged. Only have like 2 mil to rollover at this point. Hopefully signing Shaq here shortly at that. So expecting some contractual reworking with somebody to open up more cap to rollover. Just not sure what player we have worth reworking. Byard is the first player off the top of my head that we need to restructure. Not because of his cap hit this year….but next year. So not really opening up much of any cap room to rollover with him though.

How many years in a row has Alabama vs Georgia been such a monstrous showdown of heavyweights of college football? Getting my popcorn ready!

Go Dawgs!
