I mean....if you take Kelce, Kittles or other stud TEs out of their team's offense....it impacts the results.   It's the way it is.  Can't be ignorant to that fact.

Kittle was shut down(basically taken out of the game) How did that work out for us? They had a plan B?????

Greg Ward is back on the PS. He was solid most of the time

Carr got his 15 mins, he can go back to being just as irrelevant as he was when he was in the NFL. David Carr - NFL anal       list

Major prob is LB. Read somewhere Morrow allowed 177 yac yds. Signing Leonard may help, simply an area w/ key injuries and not enough attention spent on.

Been saying all yr a big part of the prob on O is poor play design but got shut down. Hey - we finally had a "screenish" our pass a few yds down field. Maybe once Johnson studies a little more he'll find these things called crossing patterns and rub routes, you know - plays that get guys open.

Right but your entire offense shouldn't tank because of one guy

Yes, which is why TE depth needs addressed.

So when Lane was out did the entire offense stop functioning? Once again you can't count on 1 person

https://www.phillyvoice.com/jalen-hurts-indecisive-vs-49ers-gifs-and-stuff/  So I guess Hurts can't function without Goedert?? Why is he not locating these receivers? Even Kempski sees it. Stoll open, new TE open(OG) and the ball is not there,so sorry, not buying the "only Goedert" claim. BU TE's not near as good as Goedert, but open is open I don't care if it's someones grandmother,THROW THE BALL

Although it didn't stop functioning I thought it was deficient from what we're used to seeing. Mainly in the pass pro aspect.

Now that you mention it I did see times where Stoll was open. So why the big drop off with Goedert out? Hurts' knee plaguing him?

Always when your top people go out,but you carry on with "next man up" Adjust when/how you need to. It happens to every team

That's what 93 thinks, also mentioned in the other article. Carr thinks we should sit Hurts to get him 100%. Now I have heard nothing about injury, but really it's not injury because he ran ALOT(in the backfield) vs the 9ers. His decision making has slowed,he seems tentative. Not seeing the whole field. If his first read isn't open he gives up. IDK he's just not the same QB I saw last year

Hurts last year, added the much need deep(for him) ball accuracy. We know he has a weak arm compared to other QB's. Still he can throw 40-45 yards. I'll take those all day. Of course 60 is better, but you work with what you have. He was opening up some earlier this year, but something is off somehow. We also give up our running game at the drop of a hat. Down 1 score should not be cause to give up your running game. Heck put Gains in the TE spot,he can do a chip block and go out on a route and as I showed the BU TE's were OPEN. IDK IDK IDK I was just expecting a finely tuned machine, but this is more like a bus wreck

Hell, put Penny in as a blocker if you need to LOL. I'd run Swift behind Penny, yet we don't even try that stuff. When your star TE is out this is stuff you need to do. Adjust, try something new. I was surprised we beat Dullaz and KC. I really don't mind losing if we play well and get beat by a better team, what I hate is inept play, missed tackles are now a problem also, not seeing wide open guys on routes, holding the ball for 4 seconds will get you killed. Just things that should have been sorted out by week 4. Then again,I am just a hater 🤣

Hurts could be in enough pain to the point where it's impairing his thought process.

At the same time, a lot of these guys are playing through pain.

Mike McCarthy is scheduled to undergo surgery on Wednesday to address an acute case of appendicitis, the team announced.

There's more to this knee injury than they're letting on

No big deal if they can get it out before it bursts.

I've been thinking the same. Hurts' performance is night and day since we first noticed the brace on him. I think it was Ham's post where I first saw this point brought to surface. Why so hush-hush?

Lol...who shut Kittles down?    You mean Purdy chose to throw to another guy who had a 10 yard cushion?

Lol...I mean if you don't understand how players impact the game, Idk what to tell you?

LOL because why throw 8 yards when you can throw for 20? Fact remains they did fine without using a TE but we can't?

You know we're DOA if he gets married 🤣
