Greg Ward re-hi, signed to PS yet again. Howabout a position of need would be nice, although he does fill in as that crossover WR/TE kinda guy.

With the portal and paying players, it's the end of competitive college football. Not counting gambling as that's always been there, except not it's on steroids. Top schools already had the advantage of drawing the top players, now they can just outbid them. F'n whiney assed kids, already got free room and board, free education now millions of dollars as undergrads. I'll just be watching PSU and a handful of games, maybe not even that much. At least they're finally expanding the playoffs to 12, supposed to be implemented last yr but for a handful of conference heads.

SO we don't need a TE then to have offense. SO why can't our top WR's give Hurts a window,or why is Hurts not throwing the ball? yes I know,as I said I would rather have 20 yards than 8. Most QB's do

I have all my weapons... it's up to you now to decide how to defend them.   I'm going to the easiest option. 

If I avoid a player all the time,because you are allowing an easier option elsewhere...  it doesn't mean my guy who doesn't get a target...didn't have impact.   I didn't need to use him as a target,but being on the field impacted how you defended my group.

We just heard the Eagles say that since Goedert has been out, the only difference they are noticing from defenses...is that they are doubling AJ more.

So what does one guy impact?  1st he is better run blocker than his replacement,  who is a better run blocker than the 3rd TE.   

Second,  he is the #3 pass catching " threat" ... take away that threat, and now the defense can key on the top 2 guys more. 

Not really a difficult concept to get.  "But but but ...they didn't throw to Kittle "    who cares...he was there on the field, blocking and a their #3 receiving threat. 

The simple concept shouldn't have to be explained.   It's pretty much the whole strategy of basketball is playing off the best player(s) to get teammates open shots.   In every team sport, a player that needs attention from the opponent impacts the game.  With or without the ball.

Site anything you want,the FACT is this offense cannot function without Goedert. Should be fairly obvious??? Never did I say he didn't make an impact. Obviously he is the key to the offensive ignition. Other TE';s were open and Hurts wouldn't throw to them. Wasted yardage. 46 passing yards to AJ in 2 games prior to the 9ers suits you???? I need more production. So it's obvious we can't have an offense without Geodert

So no matter if Kittle was targeted or just forgotten,they didn't use the TE for much and put up a beating on us and we can't function without Goedert. So both TE's were out of the picture for whatever reasons you choose to site. How did they do compared to us?. Hurts is supposed to be a better QB than Purdy and that wasn't even close. Anyway,done with this petty "argument"
