OC sucks isn’t what I said. First timer that lumps were expected is what I said. Players saying "predictable” and "routes developing to long.” Haven’t read much attacking Siri. Goal being win the SB? Nitpicking GM missteps on a team with a shot? Going to happen. What matters more to discuss almost than the GM job? Maybe it’s a bit optimistic…but we have a shot this season. So GM screwing up Fangio as DC over the Gannon pick swap crap? Seems not worth it….if not stupid outright. GM not getting LB being the biggest roadblock clearly is him failing the job. If your goal is looking for a GM to create a good competitive team? He’s successed there. But pretty obvious and possibly fireable level mistakes at DC and LB. S also until he made the late trade to cover for that mistake.

Fangio,  the guy I referenced in the post you replied to. The guy we already had in house last season with expectations he was the guy to become DC this year. Fangio practically admitted he didn’t take the job over the Rosie squabble over Gannon.

Right... to simplify....the OC sucks is what you said.   You just do it in an indirect way to where you point out 500 things so that you later can say "  called it"

Eagles weren’t crap team for three years. Weren’t going to win any SB those three years though. One year they were crap, 2020. 2019 just not good enough. 2021 not good enough. Both playoff teams.

Baltimore won last about 12 years ago?   How is their record since 2016 when your GM tool the job?   Playoffs results are comparable?

Actually I never called Johnson sucking. Simplifying to that would not be accurrate. Johnson was always the obvious choice to step up as OC. What I said is excuse time is over. Yeah he’s first time playcalling and OC. Growth should have been an obvious expectation. Week 17 now. No longer get those excuses. Gotta have things figured out. Why I stated expectations are for the O to fly from here out

IM talking the crap absolutely crap teams the 49ers were leading into 2017.  When any idiot can say " clear cap" because there was zero player on the roster good enough to pay or build around.

So 33 points and 475 yards...  we need to build off of that. No excuse for that type of performance any longer.   Johnson needs to tell Goedert not to slip so we can get more respectable numbers

They asked Fangio directly about our job….everybody always would just deny and crap that down. He made it clear he wasn’t shutting down that the Eagles DC job was an option. Speculation was Fangio was brought in the season before knowing Gannon was leaving even. We had Fangio as our DC if not for Rosie creating all that scandal over Gannon. Gannon created the scandal actually. It happened, obviously. But Rosie could have made the wise move of letting it go. Pretty clear he got the pick swap instead of  Fangio. Rosie adds to his reputation going forward of coaches understanding they better not break rules or he’ll nail them for it.

Imagine your GM spending 3 first round picks for a QB who didn't do anything. 

Vs a GM who drafted Hurts.   Then look at the contract for Hurts and how that will allow the team to be players in free agency for a while.  Compared to SF who will be all in with this group and limited draft picks and cap space.  

They can get a parade this year...just to make it even.  Then look ahead to the future, and see who is in better shape... especially with the big contract looming for their QB.
