That's why we have BU's. Maybe we should have put Mar in. Obviously Hurts numbers weren't good. Not that Mar could have done better, but we never tried. You can't ride a sick QB just because he got then big money. AS you said we thought we could win with him and would have if not for the tarnished last defense series. Would mar have gotten us more points? IDK. We never will know. But watching Hurts struggle as a passer could have been a reason to make a change during the game. Ego's aside, sometimes as a coach you have to make calls the players don't like. Maybe sitting Hurts was one of those missed calls.I usually figure a good BU QB is worth 65-75% of your starter. If your starter is at 50% or under, then you should make the change.Of course that change wouldn't have avoided the last drive, but if we had more points on the board, that last drive would have been moot. We put Hurts in on plays when we had Wentz,we can do that with Mar if we wanted to. Sometimes that BU gives the team a spark. We've seen that now with all these other BU's putting up nice "I can start somewhere" numbers

That's a different conversation.  Hurts healthy in Philly is much different than being sick on the west coast.

Hurts we can agree wasn't anywhere near 100% traveling across country by himself due to being sick and missing the last couple of practices?

Idk... we can agree to disagree...i think a healthy Hurts and the game being in Philly makes a big difference.   That might be me reaching though.   A lot of people probably don't think a healthy QB and home field advantage across the country make a difference...who knows?

I feel a healthy Hurts was more important than the venue. A good healthy QB can take the crowd out of games(even a heal;thy BU can)

Nope it's not different. We have 2 healthy BU's Maybe we should have played them in Seattle. Once again a healthy QB is more important than the venue

I'll take Eagles over Seattle weekend of Jan 13-14... after 3 local games...that would be wins if we get the #2 seed.... game win streak.

Vs the exact time we played in Seattle 2 weeks ago.

All day every day.   Context matters.

And really it's not close.   Anything other than losing to SF in SF shouldn't happen.   Maybe at Detroit round 2.  A round 1 playoff loss at home shouldn't happen.  Not even close.  If it does...with a healthy Hurts... then there was never any legit shot at a Superbowl.

But Seattle and Philly make a big difference in swing of home field advantage.   Plus just the logistics.

I assume these things would have zero effect on the Vegas lines.

IDK,not an odds maker, but I'm sure his lack of being 100% could have. It was reported he was "healthy and ready to go" Apparently that was false infomation. He is ILL but ready to go could have trimmed a point off LOL

Yes it is different...because you are talking about a choice of who to put in.

I'm talking about the fact of comparing Hurts to Hurts...himself. He is better when healthy. That's the difference in the actual result of what happened vs what should happen in playoffs

Debating who should have played 2 weeks ago .. altogether different.

And being able to practice.  .and having the game in Seattle vs Philly....all probably effect the line ...we can agree?

Agreed and that's what we don't know. We BARELY beat Dullaz here, then they kinda blew us away at ATT. Chiefs win ,another fluke. Bills win was impressive, but thats where it ends. Now with 3 chump games left(1 down 2 to go) we really have no clarity if this team is ready for a run or not

Home team is supposed to get 3 points right?  Wonder why?  Probably cause home field makes a difference.

And Miami, Minnesota and the Rams...all teams fighting for playoffs. But who is counting  ?

ALL QB's are better when they are healthy. That is league wide. The question becomes,is he healthy enough to win,

2.5-3.5 usually

Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins, Rams, Vikings, Dallas... all flukes.

And you would agree much better chance in 2 weeks here than in Seattle?

Why is that?  Because it's been proven to make a difference?

Oops...I forgot Tampa...how are they doing ?

A lot of flukes really.

They all have tough games, some this weekend. We went 3-3 in our tough 6 game stretch. Problem I have is we lost the last 3. I would have rather lost the first 3 and see the team respond with 3 straight wins. So winning the first 3,then losing the last 3 tells me we peaked too soon

If Hurts is healthy

I believe we were favored(despite the -2.5) to win in Seattle

Yeah... after playing the physical games..  very realistic to expect the last 3 games to be the ones to win....especially with the other teams getting extra 3 days rest????

Come on now...I appreciate the passion of the 7 year old fans in all of us...but as adults we should be realistic.

Then should be favored more here

We should be able to hope he is over the virus that he had. Looked much better vs the Giants

If we went 1-1-1 with a win in the middle I would at least see we can still make it. has nothing to do with age. other teams coming on strong playing good ball. Cleveland with a nantique who has only been there a few weeks,Ravens beating good teams. We barely won vs KC and Dullaz(game 1) so 2 unimpressive wins due to luck,1 good game ve the Bills, then 3 losses does not exude confidence at any age. The Gnats game should have been a blowout. OK maybe that was a week of rest ot whatever, but now I need to see 2 stellar games in a row

IDK would we be favored if Hurts was out? because basically he was at 50% in Seattle
