Dude...niners have sustained zero.   They were not legit contenders... they lost in one SB....we won one and made another.

The Green Bay win was more fluke than double doink

And if you want to fire Howie....because the team has expectations... yet don't hold the SF guy who absolutely made a brutal trade for a team that apparently you have as even more of a contender...then that absolutely makes zero sense.  Double standard.

I don’t think so. I said the Lance decision was extremely fire-able. I would have fired Rosie already. Didn’t like his decisions after the SB victory. Zero sense in firing the old capped out team GM that delivered  four wins? I really see it as Rosie had the money so screwed up and the whole situation so screwed up? He was ssooooooo bad? It saved his job really. The top guys wouldn’t have viewed coming here as ideal. He had one major sneaky great draft pick right then though. You want to take a guess at whom that player was?

I have many positives to say about Rosie also. Not like I believe he’s some train wreck GM. But it felt like that in 2020. With the massive positive of how he bounced back in his return and brought us the parade after the 2017 season? I thought he was messing up and destructive nearly as quickly getting to 2020. Do I believe it was Pedey, not Rosie deserved to be fired at that time? Absolutely did not. We could have very much empowered Pedey an extra notch and fired the GM instead. I like that young coach he has as his OC. Think he’s a heck of a young coach and mind. Not the reasoning to try and actually fire Pedey because of. Quickest firing of a SB winning coach I can remember. Was it Pedey’s fault what happened to the talent of the team’s decline in 2019 into disastrous 2020? Not at all. I thought it very predictably happening. I called it! Hahaha remember. Not in hindsight. Was watching it unfold each year worse than the next. Now how has Pedey and that young OC looked after taking a one year off? Terrible franchise in Jax even. I’m impressed with their performance really. So let’s not mark his ego and power hunger as a great quality of his.

Now as much as he should have been canned after 2020….he made that incredibly ballsy draft pick. That second round pick was a real positive check mark from Rosie. Thought he had a strong rise the next two seasons in his job performance digging out of that hole. But he’s the one that dug us that hole at the same time. Does Pedey, Taylor and Schwartz win that SB last season for us instead of what happened? Does AR just completely outcoach Schwartz in the second half like that? I don’t think it a leap by much at all to think we won the Lombardi with that squad last year having not fired the coaches. It’s on that backdrop we have to judge the hirings surrounding Siri. On one hand Siri had Steichen and got to the SB. But lost. We should have won the SB last year. Gannon was garbage in that game. I don’t believe Schwartz lets that second half occur like that. Absolutely do not believe it happens that we blow that SB.

Why is Rosie free of being judged just like everybody else? I’d say for every good or great decision he’s pulled about half a bad to terrible decision. Did he build a SB losing team last season? Or did he fire the coaches that would have made his efforts a SB winning job performance? Two SB WINS so near to each other? Not one hot seat belief in the air.

How is that other coach that got fired, Schwartz, looking in Cleveland? Does he blow that SB second half so terribly like Gannon did? Did Rosie build a SB winning team last season? Or…..did his negative qualities rear their head to have cost us winning that SB? Made all those great decisions 2021 going to 2022. Do we give nothing but praise for that GM? Nothing but fault? Then can carry forward into critiquing good and bad this season.

I think you secretly want the job.  I absolutely think that you think you could be an NFL GM..just get every free agent that's there... and every player will want the contract written on your terms.

I agree...dorky 5 year old nicknames aside.  I absolutely thought Howie and Lurie were most at fault for 2020.

The thing is... you don't base decision off of one season.   Especially one where 87 players missed games due to injury.

But at that point it was clear, the future direction was the vision of Howie/ Lurie.... I said at the time, they created the situation and whatever happens from there they deserve all the credit and the Blake.

Well.... what are the results?  For like 30 plus weeks of the regular season they had the best record in the league.

I actually like the draft picks for a change.    They are in great shape with the cap, especially with the contract they gave their starting QB.

They have more draft picks coming.

They finally got an elite pair of WRs...first time ever in my life except for Quick and Carmichael who waspsst his prime.

3 playoff seasons a SB trip so far.   I'm not worried about firing Howie.... I'm looking at continuing to build the roster.   Another good draft or two...some solid signings and the team can be in good shape for a while.

This is the same organization that kept Reid on way too long.  Same philosophy and mistakes made for a decade.

I don't think they make any major changes.   Just do a better job of the same things that has worked.

This year...you can look and see things during the game that are different...clock management etc.  But they need a 4th weapon in the passing game, run the ball a little more...and obviously more bodies defensively.

Now this is you showing your double standard level through and through. I’ve been answering your questions. You have avoided answering any of mine. Let’s start at me asking  if you thought the Swift trade was good one or not if considered just a one year rental?  The one you responded by asking me if I thought the Swift trade was a good one?

I wouldn’t call it a secret even. I would have always loved the job of being in charge of the Philadelphia Eagles. Just even thinking about it briefly with you bringing it up? I’m going to take it much further and describe it on levels of near or possibly even Dream Job! You wouldn’t?

The goal is to look impressive vs CRAP teams. Like early this season wins vs CRAP teams. Now that it's crunch time we are not impressive. Sloppy wins should not impress other teams either. It's not about impressing me,it's about impressing Lurie

Agreed. We lost alot of guys. We knew we would have to re-vamp things. Fairly disappointed in the play of Slay and Bradberry. Losing a step it seems, but that is hindsight now. We can still contend if we get this offense going. Moving the ball but not scoring needs to stop and the dumb penalties/drops /fumbles etc. That all needs cleaned up with 2 games left. I still am clueless why we signed Penny

We put up a SB team last year. When you give your opponent a free 7 that has nothing to do with Rosie, although he DID draft the QB that dropped the ball and some of the defense that gave up a 10 point 1/2 time lead

IDK what Howie needs to do,but he needs to get more in tune with some defensive draft choices. I know he expects a dominant pass rush to offset the weakness in the secondary, but although we stuff most RB's we really aren't getting to QB's as much as I would like. QB's are getting faster on their releases,so Howie needs to adjust and draft some top guys in the secondary. I agree with Joe we are missing that 4th weapon be it a top slot or a nice TE to go with Goedert. One article mentioned Curtis Samuel in the off season. I would be happy with that pick up. A few decent TE's in this draft class also. I'm hoping Howie sees the light and takes Trotter,jr with pick 1. I know it goes against his grain, but maybe he can study a bit off season.

I was studying AZ a bit. I wouldn't take them too lightly. They lack in many areas, but we need to exploit that and scoring when we move the ball. Conner is a decent RB,my concern with him is when they use him in the passing game, We need to be ready for that as well as containing Murray. Now that he is back,he can do plenty of damage. Those are the 2 keys for me. More about containment of Conner and Murray this week not letting them turn the corners. Our LB's and S's will need to perform

Yes by Rosie…hired and loved Gannon. Not going down in the positive check mark side if of things for Rosie in my estimation. What’s your opinion between the better DC? Schwartz, Gannon..,Desai? Only one has Rosie fired.

So, No Mas, your boy Chipper hired Press Taylor as a quality control coach. Pedey kept him on and promoted him to QB coach. Then was the choice to be promoted to OC. Many rumors that are from several in the know about the Eagles more than you or I …..say Press Taylor being promoted to OC was the main point of contention of why Rosie fired Pedey…and all his coaching staff. How is this call looking by Rosie? Some serious negative marks on Rosie in my estimation. Press brother Zac,HC  of the Bengals, and him look to be very strong coaches in my viewpoint. As a known non fan of Chipper I can admit this point…that Chipper hire I believe to be a good one…even though the hiring of Chipper himself I judge not to be. This is an area I think I am able to be a better GM than Rosie on. How much of this poor decision was based mostly on being personal with Rosie? Feels like a huge point of contention and driving force surrounding the firing of our coaches after 2020. You even point out reasons that season’s team had for excuses…injury mainly. So your excuse defending Rosie I actually am using against you to make the point of defending firing the coaching staff. While I’m also pointing to heavy reasons of personnel short comings and bad contracts in 2020. I blame the 2020 filled with old players accomplishing only 4 wins capped out team mostly on Rosie….not the coaches. But do acknowledge injuries were heavy that season, it was a factor. Those I believe factor in to defend both Rosie and coaches.

Rosie love and hiring of Gannon you don’t view as the biggest factor? Do you believe Schwartz allows AR to carve our talented D up like that in the second half of the SB? Schwartz instead of Gannon in that second half of the SB…do we celebrate with a parade instead of crying walking off that field Gannon claimed as his home field already mentally that day?

One of the large positives I’d point to for Rosie was the hiring of Pedey and Schwartz. He did that.

Chipper I admit to the fantastic hiring of Stoutland. A coach I believe to be the best in the world at what he does. Still would have fired your boy Chipper. But can still give credit. Love me some Stout. Arguably the only person other than Lurie that has such power and sway with Rosie like he does. Stout even has joked Rosie at times.

Stout joked Rosie about his fame mongering because he just came from doing a podcast. Saying something about can we get to work now? Stout is a funny guy.
