Would need the playcall to have that outside WR on the out pattern to just throw that. But Slot CB has that coverage responsibility.

Ok…you can have your opinion. Just trying to educate you on what’s going on here. Just having this one part of the overall picture I believe to have decided the situation. You seem to not be getting that the Slot CB is covering the area you are adding should be targeted. Are you getting that? Not trying to come off like a ****. Just seems like you aren’t getting the fundamental coverage responsibility…or the playcall.

Anyone else on here see this photo and anything other than it's just dumb to give the easy first down by playing 5 yards behind the 1st down marker and in the back pedal?

This has happened all year...easy conversions without a defender any where near the ball.  Can't do this vs pros.

The Slot CB has that responsibility. You aren’t getting it. Not the Outside CB covering the throw you’re talking about. 

You are describing Man Coverage D. It isn’t.

This is a simple thing every Eagles fan has been talking about.  It's a Facebook post with 5 thousand comments... its the conversation we have all been having all year about the soft coverage. 

You have to make a simple thing complicated.  You feel the need to think you are smarter than every Eagles fan?

I'm not describing anything.  I'm showing a photo where the QB has an easy decision and throw to make. 

No chance for the defense to make a play. The slot CB isn't going to get there in time.

 I agree....nobody was in coverage to stop the short out pattern for the easy  1st down.   Correct. 

The slot guy didn't get there ...catch, run for another 3 yards past the marker out of bounds untouched.  Easy play for NFL level QB. 

Slot corner is holding outside leverage on slot WR. If that Slot WR does anything but stop or cut outside the Slot  CB is passing him off. Slot Cb has the zone where is is and outside all around the sticks. The throw you are referring to I assume…that’s his Zone.
