Problem is  outside CB backpedals so hard and doesn’t break on throw quick enough. But Slot CB you describe as completely messing up. We’re so bad in coverage wouldn’t surprise me if both were true on this play. Maybe that’s the answer you are looking for in reality. That all takes place in the next frames not seen. Not in the screenshot I saw from your post. I’m fine with where they both were in that screenshot. Sounds like it all went to crap…after.

Yea..you believe that and keep missing the point.  It's a problem for the season.  Stop focusing on one play.  Do you really think these guys missed all these assignments all season.

You continue to miss the big picture.

TE just runs a stop pattern right there.  Who covers him?  You are going to say the LB.....then who covers the RB right up the middle?   They run the same routes on the other side who covers it. You can't have the slot guy cover the out pattern....then leave the middle open for an even easier throw .

It's not a video game where our guys run twice as fast as their guys.

Maybe you could market that as a contraceptive. Best at preventing pregnancy the first 70 percent of sexual intercourse.

Damn your just ignorant and love to avoid facts but hey what can I expect from a hurts jock rider

Already mentioned all the others deserving credit many posts before this.

Yup after I said hurts brotherly shove TDS are more a credit to the OL and Siri then Hurts himself….

Was just trying to clarify if you were discussing the Franchise TD record or the Brotherly Shove. Feels like both

Because it is both pretty simple if you read…. In 20 years when you only look at stats 38 tds by hurts going to look great…. Reality not impressive most of his rushing TDs are a OL stat and no your not going to change my mind on that think you can Wentz, Brees, Mariota, Brady, Mcnabb whoever you want behind the OL and do the brotherly shove and they getting in  the EZ…

Hence the success rate of the other QBs I listed above on Sneaks Brees and Wentz… Mariota just to add during that same span was at like 94% on the sneak

I think Hurts does a lot of things good in think Hurts is an excellent runner, think Hurts has a good deep ball really gives WRs a chance to catch it… But the brotherly shove Tds that’s an OL stat Hurts just gets the credit for the TD

I think Hurts has a brutal deep ball....giving the WR a chance means he relies on the WR to make a plat over a DB.  He underthrows guys who have beaten their man.   Smith has been under thrown quite a bit this year. I think he strength as a passer is the short passes where he hits them in stride and where it's a nice soft pass so they can secure and run right away.

I mean there is definitely a limit to his deep ball but if he times it right I think it’s quite nice especially with like 30yards

Yeah...he needs to time it right.  But if he had a good deep ball, we would see it more.  He doesn't have a good deep ball.  He was fortunate a lot last year where his guys made some plays for him.   Can’t rely on that.

The best coverage scheme all season was vs Miami. Very easy to see why. Waddle was hurt and ineffective.   They feared giving Hill an inch.  So they pressed him and had someone on him from the start.

They played normal coverage.   10 yard cushions and back pedaling on 3rd and 4 isn't good strategy.  Which we have seen all year.  Apparently the slot CB has been the issue all year on these 500 times we have seen easy pitch and catch for conversions even up to 10-12 yards

It's a photo showing the overall trend that has been a huge issue all year. I don't think the slot guy missed his assignment all year.

This needs to be addressed.  It seems even our fans are starting to lose it.  Almost as dumb as " we have a defense built to play with a lead"  when each game starts 0-0.

We get used to seeing this stupid coverage,  now we start trying to justify it.  That's a problem.  That doesn't fly in this town.  We like aggressive defense.  Would be better if our guys got burned with the other team executing a difficult play.....giving up 9 yard catches without contesting them on 3rd and 4 doesn't fit the history of this organization or the fan base.

Agreed and I would add that we aren't punching anyone in the mouth with our pass rush. It's "OK", but not the dominant one we should have with all we have invested. They wait for the rush toss it over them because the LB's aren't in position to make a short field play many times. Those 6-8 yarders are killing us

They throw it early ...because of the cushion, the rush has no chance.

We’ve had different guys playing out there. Was it Slay? No he’s out. Was it Brabery? Was it Ringo? Was it Ricks? Big picture is smaller picture in this instance very possibly. Sounded like you described a CB that backpedaled too hard …too early. That player needs to tighten up. Big picture…if it’s all of them need to tighten up. Both can be true.

Well depends on whether that’s a SS or LB next going left to right in the screenshot. They each have their own zones. That’s Zone coverage. Tomorrow we can discuss….more tricky topic of: flooding the zone.

The fact was just simply Franchise record holder of scoring TDs. Jalen Hurts. You are the only one trying to avoid that fact.

Nope. That was me doing it again. Had already posted how Coach and teammates were a part of the success. Can’t throw a TD to nobody. Can’t run behind no blocking. It’s you that is doing everything in your power to try and discredit Hurts.

When the Oline blocks long enough for a WR to catch a TD….they deserve credit then also. RBs have room to run for a TD. The Oline deserves credit. Playcall is a good one. Coaches deserve credit. I’ve always completely acknowledged this. It’s a team sport.

Wentz never ran in TDs? Pretty sure he did. Exactly how he got hurt and ended that fantastic season he was having. Otherwise he could have the Franchise Record of Most TDs. But he got injured..badly…running in a TD. That ended his chance to be the record holder.

This is fact and franchise record.

Not overthrowing it and giving your Wr a chance to go get the ball is a good way to play. Normally could also draw the pass interference call sometimes also. One of the main throws you seem to refer to….Siri practically admitted the playcall was looking for the pass interference. The throw was meant to be exactly like that to Quez. Higher percentage of getting pass interference from the speedster than him actually catching the ball.
