We likely need edge help but at the same time no edge help will get pressure if the QB can throw the ball within 2secs since we can’t cover.

Hopefully we look to fix out secondary first

But Howie won't draft anyone at those spots,so.....

Kelce told teammates he is retiring after Mondays loss… Massive loss to our OL

Yeah I posted about that(somewhere a few pages back)

Well depending what happens next I say 3 guys should have their fates tied together in Siri(if we keep him), Howie and Hurts.

If next season is anything like the end of this season all three should be out the door

Howie is bringing in nice layers, the coaching staff has no clue how each player plays, but that is their JOB abd they aren't doing it. The misuse of Goedert this year was a clear indication they were clueless. You cna't bring in a scheme and force players to play their weakest game.It will end in failure as it just did

I am wondering why our HC seem struggle replacing there staffs when we get poached. Is it there lack of NFL experience not having the relationships of more experienced coaches?

I mean we put together strong staffs at the start then they get poached we we can’t seem to replace the guys. Then you look at SF and they never seem to miss a beat even when the coaches get taken and with numerous different QBs behind center(over the years not this season obviously)

We could tell  on the first TB drive the team wasn't ready to play

Something happened in the locker room. No team gets so bad in such a short period of time without a reason.

Other than the splash plays I thought the first drive for the FG was the best one we had all night

Howie neglected LB, went old at CB those guys regressed, and we waited pretty late to add a S in Byrd.

Howie does a good job at the start building a roster but just like 2017 SB run he seems to lack the ability to keep the roster competitive with changes. Similar your coaching staff being unable to replace coordinators

Smith really tried to get this team fired up,but the old machine was broken. he put up the only nice stats all night and his job got tougher with AJ out,yet he gave Hurts windows

But the coaches can't even get the good players Howie gets to play. other than Smith any rooks stand out to you? When you allow a 12 yard cushion, don;t care if you have top line CB's they get beat. How do we know what we have running a stupid scheme like that? There is no way to know

Carter played really well for the most part had what 6 sacks as a rational DT…Sidney Brown was looking good before injury as well.

Carter got fat,and his stats dropped off. Cunningham played a nice game I thought. At least he made a few plays. Howie makes great deals. You ready to give that up for better(yet Howie has done very well the last 3 drafts) player selection and crap deals? I get mad also that Howie won't take high secondary players, but not sure I'm willing to give up all the other things he does

And who picked those players? The guy you want to can

He also shocked us by taking Hurts in round 2. Was that a bad call? At the time I was SMH,but he's our starter now. How did Hurts get ruined??

Any D player is going to look fat when they are always on the field our D couldn’t get off the field that isn’t entirely on just Carter.

As for Howie this is now the what 4th coaching staff and there have been issues with. Not sure if there is conflict this time around between staff and GM but before that Howie had run ins with AR, Chip and Doug.

If this coaching staff fails yes I’d be willing to try something new entirely and that would mean replacing Howie as well

I am more for the pocket passer type. Our offense is set up for it. Hurts was coming alon last year as far as progressing on his passing skills. I was looking forward to him having a kick ass season this year. But he was "different" from the start. Someone ruined him

How many times have we seen a rookie tear it up until game 11 or 12, the length of the college season then hit the wall

There were recent specific articles about his weight gain and stat decline. No one notices this in time? The guys that work with him daily couldn't tell him his weight was getting too high?

Losing GM of the year is not a good look my friend

I thought this was the other DT Davis not Carter seen articles about Davis weight problems

I don't believe Howie hires the coaches,I think that is Lurie

I never said Howie should be gone this season said if next year is a disaster like this one finished

You could be right,I just remember that article(whichever it was) and thought the staff needs to clamp down on them before letting it get to the point the stats fall off,so regardless who it was, this staff is inept

Staff can only do so much if a player doesn’t want to listen not like they can make him…. Would be curious if they were fining Davis though for his weight that is a general practice. Still doesn’t mean Davis was listening though

NFL takes alot of work, every day,all year. Some can do this on their own, others need to "get with the program". When the staff sloughs off and aren't doing their jobs the team suffers. Weight gains (needed or reduced) strength training cannot be lax either. You can be nice yet firm and demand they comply,or you bench them until they do. yesterday IMO Hurts should have been benched after the moronic safety he took. This is coaching stuff. You do what you have to do then face the music the next day because I am sure Lurie would be pissed pulling Hurts, but he was playing so bad Siri should have made the call

if it's doable and they don't comply, they don't play. Other coaches do it,why not siri?
