After the NCAA banned Southern California from bowl games for two years, forfeited an entire season, placed the school on four years' probation and took away 30 scholarships for infractions during Carroll's tenure

I vaguely remember when all this was going on but I do remember Pete left for Seattle then USC got slammed hard by the NCAA

Granted this was for paying(or gifting) players stuff to get recruits since this was the same time frame  they made Reggie Bush return his heisman trophy

But before we can even consider new coaches have to see what Lurie decides with Siri if he will return or not.

If we retain Siri have to wonder who we get to replace our coordinators have to image guys are going to lose there jobs especially DC

I’d image Siri job will come down to what his plan of action is to correct the locker room and the coaching staff going forward and if Lurie believes in that’s approach

If he had a plan it should have been implemented after week 12. A plan now is after the fact

I think Miami Hurricanes were tagged for the same thing and they were out of football for like 6 years. You are just now starting to see some Miami players draft eligible. I mean higher caliber players, not triple A transfers

What about pete carroll?

I read Carrol is staying in seattle as a consultant. Maybe he just is tired of coaching

NO,he "fought hard" to remain the coach per article. He wanted to be part of the team still so they offered him that little job title. he still wants to coach, but I doubt he would hire on to a rebuilding scratch team, but we still have talent to work with so we'll see

First thing is we have to decide about Siri

Now another question. Are we going to stop the race baiting by giving incentives to hire people of "color". First off,it's demeaning AF. Secondly if we're going that route, then all the players on the teams must reach race parity by race % as well as all the other positions in the teams management and support areas. It's only fair to do this. If we're hiring coaches based on color rather than talent, then the same should hold true for the players on every team yes? I am not racist, but reverse racism is still racism by my standards. Not meaning to start a "political war" here but really talent should be the guide, not skin colors and it's a shame this BS was even started and another reason Goodell SUCKS

Siri lost the locker room

How do you get that back

The Seahawks lured him away from USC in 2010 with the promise of final say in personnel moves, something he didn't have in either of his two previous head-coaching stops. Carroll, who also held the title of executive vice president of football operations, teamed with Schneider to lead the Seahawks through their most successful run in franchise history.

Lured him away from USC to escape punishment.

Need to know how he lost it. Bad plays being called? Not handling player issues fast and correctly? I mean you have to know the reason. Was it Hurts play? Lack of targets what?

We haven't heard from 58 even during the games lately. I'm a bit worried about him

Possible Lane replacement in time. Meantime he can be a RG Perfect Howie pick. While I prefer kids that have played on the right side,I don't think he would have much issue changing sides . Playing at RG to begin his career would get him used to playing that side without too much problem unless he is totally inept, which I cannot see. I would watch for him at the combine and go from that point. Doesn't hurt anyone playing next to Lane either

He is listed here as a day 2 starter. I'm going to doubt that with the popularity of the OT position and say he goes late 1. Possible a tiny reach but he fills an immediate need with the potential to take over for Lane. In a pinch I'm sure he could play LT since that is the position he plays now should Mailata go down

1/2 Suamataia, then Trotter(LB) with our second pick. Howie needs to get off his butt and start addressing this secondary

My plan to effect the locker room....change some players.

Byard is first to see the door... is it coincidence how things went South once he got here....soft, don't need that at safety.

1,2,2,3,5,5,5,5,6,6 are the picks right now

Can we wait to see if our OC gets hired...take the 3rd round pick first.
