That’s not why therewere constant steady rumblings coming from the players about how predictable and long developing the plays were.

Sure..  the rumblings over Hurts was a separate issue.  I agree

Then towards the end we saw just a small glimpse of a few quick slants to A.J. Thought maybe they got it and indentified it finally. But nope.

No QB was going to thrive in that O system going on. Wasn’t going to happen.

If you can’t hear me talking about this O. Listen to Baldi

2023 sucked... the question is can the same guys who had the success in 2022 have it again?  Can they learn and get better.

Lurie has to make that call.  Me, I get to watch the Sixers and the Flyers for now.  Not my issue.

I will say... Sirianni would be my choice over anyone who has been already a head coach...including any former coach from Seattle,  New England or Tennessee.   If you move on...then move on.

Agree...  if you don't understand that the Hurts issue is separate issue...then difficult to have a conversation.

Agree for all 32 teams

I agree that if a team has good players and good coaching that they contend.  Absolutely 100%

DC was never good enough fired him midseason. Patricia indicted very little confidence. Johnson looked like he just didn’t have enough tools in the bag for the job. Siri is running his O and overriding playcalling…at the least. Which of these coaches is worth retaining?

Perhaps a QB that played more of a cerebral game not one relying on read option and the threat of running... would have had a different scheme built around.

This was my concern from the beginning with Hurts.  But I don't watch college so I don't see a read option offense with a running QB a formula for success.   He has shown glimpses of being able to do more.  But not consistent.   Which game do you think he has won with his arm?

Idk... we are stuck with him now for a few years.  The best thing about moving on from Siri for me... then it takes away the excuse of the coach.

At that point what do you have left?

Give me Vrabel, Dennard and Reich instead.

Let's blow it up.... give the QB no excuses.  I'm on board. Let's go Jeff... new coach.    Let the QB interview the coaching candidates.

No thanks to anyone who already failed as a coach.

More importantly...give me enough players...so I don't have to hear anymore excuses for the QB.

He took a safety....because Seamulo had a false start in the Superbowl last year.

Mahomes wouldn't have thrived in this offense.     Agreed.   But my question.  Would the offense be designed the same if Mahomes was the QB.

This is something that conveniently gets skipped.    A QB has weaknesses that can limit an offense.  It absolutely effects scheme.

A QB should be able to change plays... Wentz did it all the time.   Didn't have anywhere near the weapons we have now.

We shall see how this develops for Hurts, but hopefully he can learn and make some changes in his leadership.

Reich is a very good OC. I respect Vrabel. Think he showed well. But never had stacked teams. Never had any real QB. Dennard hasn’t failed anything yet. I’m only looking at which guys can win it all now with our team.

Yep you can’t come up with answers to knowing a blitz is coming with McVay or a real O minded coach? Then it’s the player. But you have a player thrive one year. Lose the O mind for the team. Then struggle so mightly with the whole team. That screams coaching. First time OC you can deal and expect lumps and growth needing to be gained. But whole O came out unprepared for the season. Never looked in sync. Never put everything together. Actually regressed instead of improved. Try any other coach after that.

How do you judge Vrabel failing? Or even Reich? OC isn’t the same as HC. He looked ideal as an OC. Different jobs.

I thought Vrabel overachieved in Tenn. Nebrr thought they were stacked with talent. Thought he consistently got the most out of what he was given.

Players can’t be talented enough to just backyard football wing everything. Coaching is most important. You and everybody else here were convinced we were a contending team even. You must of thought we had talent.
