Rosie hired Desai. Brought in Patricia. Fired Desai. Promoted Patricia. All moves that 100 percent ring of Rosie decisions.

And all bad decisions

Yeah he got his job back and won the SB….then in record time went downhill from there.

Since the Superbowl...how many of the 32 NFL organizations have had a better showing?

The goal is to win the SB period. So you can’t do much if anything with a guy that gets in his own way to accomplish that even when things are going great for him.

Pedey, Press and Schwartz win the SB for us last year instead.  Gone from bad to worse since.

There is a difference in looking at things from a standpoint of thinking someone is flawless.  ie how Ham views Hurts or how some view Howie.. vs thinking this guy made some mistakes and needs to improve.... vs this guy needs to be fired.

You can think that someone had a bad year, needs to improve...but I want to keep him.  Otherwise 31 coaches,  GMs and QBs would look to be replaced each year.

The idea of firing a GM...or. coach...to me I would need to think he isn't in at least the top half of the league.  How many GMs you think have done better than Howie?  To where you would trust them more going forward?

How many coaches you trust more than Siri?

You can think that both made mistakes in 2023...and also think that at the moment they are your best choice going forward.    Certainly for me... that's where I am with Hurts.  My gut tells me 2022 will be his outlier... but I'm good trying with him for the foreseeable future.

This is the decision... if we change do we risk going backwards more than w think the current guys can just do a better job going forward.

Certainly Andy Reid and all the Pittsburgh coaches...Jeff Fischer, Marty Schotenheimer.. and plenty of GMs got that idea about there jobs.  Plenty of QBs too.

Again...so you are firing 31 GMs a year....Period!

Period!

Does Howie get the benefit of an 8 year plan like John Lynch did..cleared cap in 2017... here we are in year 8 he has a shot to win the first SB after throwing away all those picks and money of Jimmy G and Lance.

Should he have been fired each year?  Because the goal is to win the Superbowl...PERIOD!

In the next few weeks....Ham believes that there should be 7 GMs fired... because the goal is to win the Superbowl....Period!

Hi guys.  @cunninghamtheman, VABeach_Eagle who runs this board and keeps it running smooth has advised we need to archive this topic due to the length.  We started doing that with longer ongoing topics last year due to server bandwidth.  Archived topics are still be accessible to read.  So when you have a chance, please start a new topic and tag me so I can pin it for you, then I will archive this one.

Thanks.

"The 42-year-old Sirianni also has the best winning percentage (.667) of any coach hired over the last three seasons and has reached the postseason three times over that span."                       I personally don't think it's Siri, but I need to question why he would change the calls from his coaches. Seems to me this would rattle the players on the field. I didn't like the OC calls most times, but were those overridden? Were those awful call Siri's? You nee an OC you can trust and I don't think that trust was there. I would love to see the "original calls" and what they were changed to. On top of that did Hurts change the calls? TOO many irons in the fire IMO. This mess has the potential of having a play called with 2 changes before the ball is snapped. Plyaers want to hit people not have to be changing plays in their head 2-3 times a snap. This to me will decide Siri's fate. The continual running of plays that didn't work all season is still bothersome to me. Who made those calls? lack of using Penny AT ALL and the misuse of Goedert from a season ago still boggles my mind as well as the lack of production from the slot spot

I hope I did it right LOL

There is a new board with the same topic header(if I did it right). VABeach Eagle wants to archive the old one due to it's length to save server space. Add to favs

The new board is up with the same name.In the search put in "Online Eagles News Discussion" You will see 2 boards with the same name. The one with my icon is the new one. See you there

Good, thanks.  Just for terminology, the entire platform is the "board" (Eagles Message Board or EMB).  What you started is a topic, which I will relabel part 2 just for clarity sake and pin it for you. Thanks again.
