Not sure if true but I heard that Wentz is near the top in the league on efficiency when rolling out of the pocket. Eagles are 3rd yards per attempt. OK, so when is Pederson going to change the game plan to use the obvious schemes that work?

Why wouldn't you take a LT? Top 5 pick most peeps would go BPA. I prefer BPA at position of need, but you wind up w/ a good player either way. Well at least potential - this team hasn't been able to develop good players lately. Picking potential and making them in to good NFL players are 2 different things.

I was talking about the 1st round this past year (April 2020).  He was actually talking about the 2nd round instead, not the 1st.  You are talking about this upcoming draft.  😂

In response to you, if we have a top 5 pick this year, my first pick would be Chase.  However, if somehow Penei Sewell falls within our grasp, I would not be upset if that's the pick.  He's a generational LT and would probably be there for 10+ years almost guaranteed.

That question has been posed to him multiple times in his press conferences the past few weeks.  His answers are head-scratching.  He usually will say something like, "Yeah, we need to do more of that" ... then doesn't.

Got it.  That makes much more sense.  I don't know if there were many good tackles left in the 2nd in April, but I agree that would have been a decent spot to go after a guard.  There were also still plenty of stud WRs, safeties, and LBs at that spot too.  The Hurts pick was egregious, and I hope that's the final nail in the coffin for Howie.

Going to have to open a new Championship Window. You gotta think bigger. Trading anybody that won’t be apart of it...or letting them go. Ertz? Gone. Graham? Gone. Parks already hit the road. Kelce? Gone. Peters? Gone. DJax, Jeffrey? Gone, gone. But is that even cutting deep enough? I’m thinking it’s gotta be bigger.

If we took a corner with the first pick would you call the Secondary ‘done?’ I would.

Wasn’t the QB Factory more a directive from Lurie?

............in case it DOES freeze over........... he also goes away from the run even when it's effective

This part is pretty damning. I was thinking with injuries along the line he’d have him rolling out week one. Seemed like he ‘fixed’ the situation last year by...rolling him out ...the last several games.

Kinda have to SMH on these stats. I guess it depends on what they base" efficiency" on. He was our most efficient RB last week lol. It's not rocket science to me either if you have a weaker than normal left side O line you roll your QB right to buy some time. I don't know why this is a  mystery to Ped. And I suppose one could raise their efficiency stats by taking sacks and not making plays? IDK what their criteria is

Yikes.  I truly hope not.  That would be scary times ahead for this team if that's the case.  Have you read that anywhere?  I always thought the QB factory was a Howie driven initiative.  Many people think Doug was 100% behind the pick as well based on the excitement he showed right after they made the pick.

It may well be. If I recall I had 2 WR's in 1,2. I had, JJ and then Mims/Aiyuk I had no clue at the time that our O line was in such perilous condition. Always a need for good linemen. Last year was a stellar one for WR's. This is a nice draft for line and LB's with a few scattered S's and CB's. Hard for me to say Chase would work here if we don't get this Oilne settled in. I was opting for his teammate Terrance Marshall, who would not require a 1 pick. Need to wait to see how these guys line up on boards. Although not gospel they give a good indication. If we aren't going to hit the secondary, then we need a blistering pass rush,so maybe DT or DE in 1? I like Surtain at CB, but we'd probably ruin him lol

Who's left? That's not a rebuild, thats a massive destruction of your team with a 3-4 year window to get back in things. And THAT's assuming you do things correctly, which right now,we don't

The ones that hurt

But get you good draft pick returns

IDK Bud .We seem to ruin them, then we release them and they go on to play well elsewhere. You'd have to have massive confidence that Schwartz knows what he's doing because you have this guy for 5 years as a 1 pick

That was a different secondary coach

I was planning on the Djax,Alshon going away. And why I brought up the "weird" idea we could trade our 1 and Wentz for Lawrence. If we're gonna start new, then let's start new. This would also spread the dead money hit now over the next 5 years you had Lawrence(but of course the Jets would want this and I don;t know that they would. I was not recoing thyis, just speculating how to kill 5 birds with 1 stone lol

Still Schwartz's defense,so you would need massive confidence to take a CB in 1. Actually I have one in 1. I trust the player, the staff IDK really. Slay got spanked last week, that's not a real good sign, so who knows? And you can say "OH great receiver" or "indefensible passes", but the fact remains these are the guys you need to beat

But I’m really liking things if we got the top corner in the draft. McLeod is solid at FS. I think Maddox is good in that roll also. Slay on the opposite side. Mills gives some flexibility and is growing. LeBlanc and NRC battling for the slot job. Got some young talented S to mix in. James and Jacquet backing up outside. I like his potential...but obviously can’t say he’s proven he’s the answer.

McLeod is playing pretty well this year but only has one more year remaining on his current deal.  We have Wallace in waiting - he could be a future starter at S, but still need to add another Unless they move Maddox to S again ... he looked pretty solid there when filling in previously (otherwise I'd move him back to slot and have LeBlanc backing him up).  Move on from NRC and Mills.  Add a high pick to compete for the 2nd outside starting CB spot.

He’s in the running. Caleb Farley is as well.

  • Author

Farley is 6’2” and will outrun the other top guys.

Robby Anderson has 912 yards already this season....just by the way...the obvious free agent for us...but No Mas doesn’t want to spend medium WR money on that.

  • Author

Actually not sure Surtain is right for us. Excellent corner....but...a press man corner. Off coverage is supposedly his weakness. That and speed....he isn’t trying to guard the burner receiver.
