regardless, he averaged 14 Mil per year from 2015-2017. No other QB would take that small a deal with his credentials.

No need to.He was already wealthy, they paid him well for many years. And he knew if he wanted to stay for longevity,he would have give a little. He did it for the team, not himself. why I will always consider Brady a class act. having a super model wife didn't hurt either lol. Despite a pay reduction, you still get that nice SB bonus lol

Of course there is no need to. You can say that about every QB in the league. Newton's salary of 20.7 Million in 2016 was the 5th highest in the league. Brady made 13 million......

IDK this team play calling is lackluster. Maybe others could put the same bolt in a block head on an assembly line for 25 years. I would die of boredom the first week, no matter what I was paid, I would quit lol

And all I am looking for is 200K so I can retire... LOL any QB's first contact is worth over 100 times that!

Yeah alot of QB's are on ego trips "Oh that guy CANT make more than ME". The keyword here is ME. So say what you want about Brady, but he's a team guy,but I imagine he was ready for another challenge one last time.

Pederson stinks. He is still using plays that Andy used before he left. The Defenses know what we are doing on almost every play. What a position to put your O-Line in!

Yep, we are not even fun to watch. I watch to see what we will F up THIS play snatching defeat from the jaws of victory lol

The 0-16 creamsicle Bucs basically started with scraps, but they tried so hard, everyone was "IN" and despite losing every game ,they were FUN to watch. I used to love watching the Vikes Fran Tarkenton. OH I just date stamped "old duffer" on my forehead lol

A quick "memo" from Lurie like "do something" would surely set your pants on fire eh?

Possibly... But Doug may look at Howie and think "Lurie can't be that bad, this guy has somehow managed to stick around through 2 different stints as GM".

Brady took pay cuts to help the Cap. No other QB would do that.

Well...while he was getting to use the owners private plane to visit his private island.

SO? He still could command more than he got about anywhere, but he stayed

I don't recall you saying  "OMG we're gonna suck this year" And WHY would you say that if all our guys never hit the mash tent? We had a pretty nice lineup before we got tagged OVER and OVER with injury. Like you knew in pre season we would have to call up PS players??? Not buying

That’s because you aren’t going far enough back

That's a big difference I see in this team vs the more successful ones. One penalty and we fold/point fingers/say the game hinged on that call etc. Teams like KC go "bummer", then come back and burn you anyway. It's a mindset

I don’t really think so. We’ve answered the bell through some adversity the last few years. We just don’t have the guns to fire back this year.

And I said we would win the SB in 2009

SO as we got guys back, why didn't we get better?

IDK what were the "right" players? We signed Djax. before injury and the draft he was the "right" player for us yes? So was Alshon at one time. Reagor could be the "right" player, but we need these guys on the field, not in the mash tent. Slay was the "right" player. So it's a combination of errors and injury taking it's toll and this is an annual event. We have our share of bad picks, but we lack development skills,so how would we know if those are the right players with a bad staff,or the right staff with bad players? I will choose alot of players we get are RIGHT. The failure is in keeping them on the field and keeping the play calls "exciting and interesting" which is yet another fail we have.

DJax wasn’t the right player anymore.

Alshon was initially clearly. Tough ending (the playoff drop)of our season was really probably the end.
Reagor is the element we need. He needs to learn his job and develop more. Yes, he got injured...but he hasn’t had a big injury/Durability history. So that’s coming along. Limited by our other elements of the offense.

Slay...I’d say we traded a year late for. Really needed him the season before when our CBs really hit the injuries. Giving up an extra round then would have been easily worth it....considering we made the move anyway.

But now if you don’t have that cohesion built up and you are dealing with younger guys...history usually dictates a simpler offense.

And got backed on his side business that was being pretty much demanded through the locker room. Kind of a big story of how the dynamics changed when TB12 had his trainer battling against Bellicheat.

But Kraft loves Brady. So yeah.....have little doubts that he loaned Brady his high priced toys and....but on the cap....not too bad.

But you always harp on SPEED outside,so how was he wrong??? Hindsight is GREAT. So tell me what our record will be in 2021 so I can get my bets in early

Disagree. Colleges are cranking out NFL ready players at a higher rate. Our offense is more vanilla than MOST college teams. It's a development issue not a talent issue IMO. JJ is lighting it up, so that arguement doesn't hold water, Ruggs, Jeudy doing ok as well Aiyuk,Mims contributing so you can't tell me every one of these teams has a simplfied offense

LOL well having a supermodel wife doesn't hurt. I assume she made a few dollars

We’ve seen how crucial speed is in this offense. DJax was great back in the day. But I thought that time had passed. Time to go to a new speed well. I wasn’t against Torrey Smith. He wasn’t quite as good as expected but filled that position solidly. They took him for big money in FA so I understood letting him go. Wallace seemed worth a shot. Didn’t work out. Agholor had a Rocky career here. Pretty elusive but I think the tough Philly culture probably he wasn’t quite cut out for. But we needed to go with youth. Really fix the issue. So we’ve been a few steps behind on this. Kind of struggled with speed everywhere. Smoke John Brown was a short quick fix possibly. Robbie Anderson was the obvious FA for us. I wanted Hollywood Brown the year before instead of Dillard. The speed element guy doesn’t have to be a 1,500 yard receiver. We just needs to  open things up for others. Ertz and Goedert are very effective. Sanders is very effective. A step behind on RB also.
Anyway anyway...just thought it was a teach to go for DJax as the reliable speed option at this point. We saw how great it was...for a game. Wentz has a big arm....was a shame to watch this offense plod along the last few seasons. Had to work so hard without anyone really making plays.

He was getting tons of money through his company with the team also. Like 80 employees. Big business. Kraft I don’t trust with any of this anyway. I don’t think Tom was getting shorted and taking less. I think he was getting more than everybody else....just not on official salary cap. I can’t prove anything...but really felt like that was what was going on. Just more cheating to get ahead.

Not looking too good. We are stuck in this hole. Only way to dig out his youth and these draft picks. When I heard Rosie talking...he usually was referring to a three year window type thing. That’s probably the accurate outlook. Hope we can rebuild and make a go again in 2022.

Not sure what to say about DJax. I was pissed we ditched him initially. But felt we waited too long to reach back to that well. Would have been nice if he had that surgery and could have finished the season at least.
