Give me a healthy Lane Johnson and DJax all season and I’d bet Carson wouldn’t be looking near as bad. Let there be a normal offseason. Give real team meetings vs zoom meetings. Let the team huddle in all their practices. This team needed to really gel and bond.

Heck!!!!! Just give me fans in the stadium even! It’s weird...you gotta admit. Just not the pressure packed arena we’ve all been used to.

More excuses. a QB should hit his window. Although I would get better throwing to you over time, I can't miss you by 5 yards even if it's my first ever pass to you. That is inexcusable. Missing wide open guys, staring them down, that is not gunshy, that is indecision and BAD decisions. Those can be corrected, but what aren't they? This is not week 2 here. Wentz is not altering his play for a BAD O line. Hurts did that better!!!! You can't hold the ball for 5 seconds with this shaky O line

You ever watch baseball? You never seen a good or great pitcher go in a slump. That’s sports!

Yeah, it's tough no play to noone. But all teams have to. Home field doesn't mean much right now. I thought Djax was the "wrong guy"? If we don't play Flugham I will have lost all respect for PED(what little I have left) Wentz misses throws even when he HAS time, so I can't fully buy that excuse either

No baseball is boring. Do those guys have 3/4 season slumps? if they do the manager is a fool by letting him play. So tell me now in week 14 in which game was Wentz just on fire?(I'm voting ZERO)

A big time hockey goalie hit a down streak? A first class striker that is off target? Sports is a constant perfection of your craft. I don’t agree with your theory of amount of years in means he could just mail it in and be at his best.

The nice thing about starting Hurts is,that it may prevent Wentz from being the franchise leader in picks and sacks over a season. That's the best I can do lol

A slump is a slump, a down game or 2 is a down game or 2. if that lasts all season why are they in???? Doesn't matter what sport it is and IDC if it's year 1 or 8.You can play or you can't. They rebound and come back Wentz has not

SOOOOO, I will toss this out there. We won the SB with mostly players Ped inherited. As the years have gone by we keep getting WORSE. Some can be attributed to injury, but like I always say give me solid logical play. If we are coherent and execute and lose to a better team,I have no issues(except we need better players). But I see the cohesion disappearing, players just going through the motions. Ped still making the mistakes today as he made as a rook coach. So we have drafts that are not what I would do, still you pay a staff to get them into playing mode. We have a semi-stud RB ,only semi because we never play him. I'm hoping Howard can add something to the vanilla run game we have(which we give up at the first option). Still we need to execute those simple plays. We have solid TE's that we use too little and Ped is not scheming the receivers to get open using any thought out play. Just football 101 stuff you get in HS. How about some brilliant type play designs? Oh NM it's the Eagles. Sad. What's more is the Philly special was called by FOLES not PED. he only agreed to it because my god FOLES had an innovative play!!!! Ped is not doing his job, sorry

Sorry not buying your first part analysis. Injuries are part of the game. All32 teams started off in the same spot. I am willing to accept the argument that Hero Ball Wentz was pressing... big contract, lots to live up to, Wentz has had 5yrs to bond with the core of this team . I will agree with you on the negative impact of NO fans on the quality and competitiveness of games this season

Do we still have that Holyfield kid on the practice squad? I would rather give our young guys a shot than a grizzled old vet that we probably ain't keeping.  On your Draft point there is Scuttlebutt that Peedy does Not have that authority, hence his disinterest this year.

I’ve never thought of Doug as some offensive genius.  That goes back to when he was hired ... hated it when it was announced.  Obviously in retrospect super happy it happened because we FINALLY won it all.  But all that doesn’t mean he is some top offensive mind like a Payton or Shanahan are.  I think he was hired because of two things only ... (1) he has that "emotional intelligence” that Lurie continually referenced following Chip’s firing (OK great his players like him and play hard for him ... but you really need your HC to offer more than that ... and he doesn’t!).  And (2) he came from Reid’s system which was showing success (they probably thought Doug could bring that innovative style here ... he did not ... he was probably in the back row during KC offensive game planning meeting licking his water bottle not paying attention 😂).

I don’t know? Kind of seems like we could keep that nice complimentary piece for pretty cheap. Sanders, Scott and Howard. Feels like a nice backfield for us. Howard is really good at that hard one cut runner. Scott is a good all around scat back. I think he upgrades and possible completes us there. I’m actually thinking could give more roster flexibility to try out other young guys thinking towards the future at the other positions. Jacquet and Arnold being the most recent call ups.

Howard is ancient he’s....26.

Get our running game going. Pull an Oline together for more than one game. Work the screen game.

If we found that threesome backfield this season that would be a win. Trying to find the Oline. Mailata it’s live and die with at this point. He’s a go at LT. Seumalo hasn’t been great. Got injured also. So hasn’t been the greatest season for him. Probably going to C next season.  We got some good film on Opeta,Herbig, Pryor and Driscoll. Basically looking for Herbig or Opeta to win a starting LG job for next season. Driscoll looks solid as a backup level already at RT. Pryor it seems like we’ve narrowed things down to: he’s not good on the left side...at anything, had some good and awful moments. Kind of feel better with him as third stringer. That guy who adds a little versatility by playing two positions.

UH ,isn't week 14 a bit late to find your threesome backfield? Should that have not already been in place. Didn't have to be Howard

LMA0 Peterson still plays. 26 is not old if you are in shape and basically he had a year off with Miami, they didn't use him much, so that point is moot to me. We brought JP back and he's well past 26 lol

I think he had better assistants early on in his Coaching path. I will forever be grateful for what Peedy did beating a History making Patriot team to give us a Spectacular Victory....The Philly Special....f-in - Iconic sh&it. I grew concerned after Reich left but felt that our SB win was worth some growing pains. Ignored the scuttlebutt that our play calling had become very predictable and pedestrian  other teams were saying nonsense publicly because of that SB victory. Peedy had earned a pass in my mind . Unfortunately like Wentz he hasn't seemed to have learned. I am with what you're saying Time to upgrade.

Sure...but just looking forward. That could be our backfield for a few seasons....locked in if Howard can deliver his role.

I expect Mailata to get much better with the experience he is getting...Impressive he is such an exceptional specimen three years playing football now a starting LT in the NFL.. Opeta is a power house...like Driscoll 's intelligence and nastiness... We have an unsettled scheme...We have to commit to an identity...run a little, pass a lot....pass a lot to hell with running the ball...I think once we decide on the identity we want...Do we want balance RuN or pass....Peedy is confused...Versatility has always been our top focus...We got the size and Athleticism on the OL We need to decide how we use this iteration to dominate...just need them to lose All the rest of the games.

Trini I agree on the losing out. Cowboys beat us then we move up. Chargers find a win me move up again. Fourth would be nice. Not just fourth overall but thinking how nice that second round pick could potentially look as well. And so on...

Jets—QB, Jags-QB, So where do the Bengals go? That could be all we have to deal with to figure out the draft puzzle on our first choice.

Yeah, depending how he plays,I think he has 1-2 more years in the tank, but certainly need to start looking. IDK anything about our younger guys, they never play either, not even garbage snaps. IMO that's another coaching fail. Good or bad, they all want to PLAY and frankly I don;t like this "secrecy". I as a fan would like to see Suds play, the young RB's and a few others like Jaquet. These guys can't learn the game "watching", you need to take the hits and get the feel of what you need to do

Bengals have Burrow. I would look at O line for them. This is another tough position we(once again) put ourselves in. Hurts is a rook, unless he just smokes everyone,we could be looking at a round 1 QB move up. Then can Wentz come back? Which leads to I have no clue whatsoever what we want to do(neither do they). We make all these messes for ourselves. It's borderline comical if it wasn't  so sad. I always could guess what we would take first, right now I have no idea whatsoever

Fairly obvious to me that Reich had a big influence on Ped and this offense and after he left, Ped became basically lost in his own BS(see Chip Kelly for pointers)

SOOO-OMG back to this BS again-did we screw up (again) letting  Vaitai walk?
