And hopefully someone new calling the offense.  If Doug isn't canned I sure as hope there is at least a directive from above that he needs to hire a legit OC (not promoting Taylor, Scang, or MM) and hand off play calling duties.  As long as Doug is in charge of that I fear it doesn't really matter how much talent we have, it will be wasted.

Like to see(off season) Duce get the OC job-gives him some time to learn more about the passing game on a more detailed basis, promote Sproles to RB coach and tell Ped to be the figured head he already is and to just "manage the game" which he is not good at, but maybe with some concentration........ and let Duce call the offense

This is a year old ,they fixed their problems, they embarrassed the Pats. And in 2019 despite this BS article, they still went 9-7. WE can only dream. So, as you say if 2019 was a "down year" for GOFF, WTH do you call the 2020 Eagles?

Everybody was saying the same stuff last year about McVay and Goff. They both were in a slump after their SB loss. Had just paid Goff and they were freaking out. Then everybody seems to be talking about how great they are this year.

Yeah 9-7 was a slump so WTH are we in??? This isn't a Wentz slump, this is a flat out awful team and lot of that goes to Went's play, or lack thereof. I would be THRILLED to go 9-7 in a DOWN year!!! We're in a Slump, show me 9-7!!! Opps too late

The directive from above is why we got rid of the OC. Groh i believe is a good coach. Just didn’t have that OC experience...so had to grow into the job. Just like how we had to fire McDermott. He wasn’t good enough to be our DC, remember? You got to have patience sometimes. I want to give Pedey more power and let him do his own thing. Don’t need Rosie and Lurie dictating everything to him.

Someone needs to dictate to him,he's not getting it done on his own

Just don’t think we can keep going to the Lions for our guys. Coaches(Schwartz and Marty) and players(Tate,Slay...). I have a Lions fatigue that’s set in. Just don’t see how we will get where we want by taking all these Lions castoffs.

We never gave Tate chance here. Came in mid -season, pressed into service(same panic we always face). What's wrong with Slay? Who cares where the guys come from? If they are the best team for deals, you keep going there (kinda like the dollar store). If they wanted to cast off their top 5 players, I would be in that line 5 times

SO, our PLAN is either non-existent OR we have a BAD plan and are doing everything we can to stick to it 🙄

If that combo comes to fruition, the we don't need Ped and we can let him go when his contract is up and Duce can be the new HC. May allow Ped to save some face and get Duce 1 year OC experience before he becomes HC. At least I have a PLAN,they do not

I’m not thinking QB at all. More thinking we can get Chase. But Bengals aren’t going QB obviously so.....we get second choice of nonQBs. It’s what we need. We need to restock the pantry. If we are still a train wreck at QB after next season then we’d still be in position to draft one the following draft most likely.

Actually, I would like to get Zac Thomas at QB. Could be had very late. Last 5th pick or first 6th at worst. Small school, the kid can play, be a good WIP to stash, and he should easily be able to beat out Suds even for the 3 spot.

Over how  many years though its not 50 mil a year . Didn't we pay non stat Djax/ low effort Alshon  about that amount per year each?

5 years, so $10M/year average.

So, that's MUCH worse, (you know having a guy locked in for 5 years) than paying 4 million for a guy who should be in a retirement home and paying multiple millions for WR's on their downside which forced us to go spend MORE money to get Fulgham (their best move by far) Can you see the stupidity trend here?

God I know, absolutely HATED the move to bring JP back (that was even before seeing his horrendous play this year ... but it was expected).  What a waste of money.

Rd 1 WR-DeVonta Smith RD 2 WR-Terrance Marshall( who is Chase's teammate. I just don;t think we go that route in 1

Yeah he got 45 mil over 5 years. That's a pretty sound investment for 5 years IMO, but we'd rather spend a boatload on old guys and other teams rejects when we had this guy on our roster already!!!!

So your' telling me, that we could NOT recognize a 5 year starter on our own roster???? That's pathetic I mean forget the guys we let walk that sign 1-2 years, they signed him to 5 and we are that clueless? ??

I seem to recall reports Big V was struggling up there.

IDK wouldn't a TOP DL guy be better? Not only can you improve that position itself, but you could give some relief to the secondary. Thats a 2 for 1 deal. (BTW we can't develop WR's) And even if we did, Ped can't scheme them. Lots of WR's that can help us,doesn't have to be a round 1

We have plenty of decent and potential WR. Pretty much just need the elite stud and the position group is done. So if we don’t get a guy in the first I probably don’t care much about adding more WR depth.

LOL OH like we couldn't have drafted a nice RB last year? More bad planning. Apparently you can't see where this disaster begins

I would have no problem taking Dobbins instead of Hurts. I’m sure Wentz would have looked better.

Devonta Smith is better. Trust me I was right about JJ before lol

Smith looks great. He’s in the running

Reagor was our "super stud WR" play remember? And I also made a bet with you that JJ would beat Reagors nutz (and he's killin it). We better fix these lines on BOTH sides,or getting Stud position players will be pointless

Reagor hurt his shoulder in TC. Then hurt his thumb. Missed like five games. I’m still fine with Reagor. Always said Jefferson was more NFL ready and poilished. Never was my argument against him.

Most considered it Ruggs, Jeudy and Lamb as the super studs. Don’t remember Reagor being in that discussion. Pretty much the talk was can we trade up for Lamb falling...which he did but the Cowboys got hold of him.

I’d say both sides of that argument are poor. V wasn’t worth all that. The WRs weren’t worth that. Two wrongs still doesn’t equal a right.

Reagor ran a slow 40 time at the combine, which is why he dropped. We saw his speed on Sunday. I think he has had a bad rookie season since the entire offense has struggled. With Hurts, we should get a chance to see what he can do on deep balls.

I also expect Fulgham to get a lot of chances. Hurts seems more willing to throw it up and let his receivers make plays.

For Goff. Not their whole very talented team. We had injuries occur brutally while not being that talented....then leading to/ or occurring with the QB slump. AND like you said the fixed their problem and Goff embarrassed the Oats last night. So clearly it can be done. I think Wentz is better than Goff personally. Goff been gifted much better weapons though.

So you think the GM and owners interference has helped Pedey? I don’t think so. Let the guy run things his way. I think Pedey is very good at delegating responsibilities. Doesn’t have this massive ego that almost all other coaches you’d have to deal with. But them forcing him to fire his OC definitely turned out negative this season. Not sure how else to see it.

Tate was another bad move by the GM forcing it upon our offensive staff. They pretty much acknowledged they didn’t know why he was brought in.

Duce is already assistant Head Coach, RB coach and in charge of the Running Game Coordinator. He’s in line to get a Head Coaching gig. They just came up with rules saying if you groom a black Head Coach for someone you get draft picks. Seems like us and KC are in perfect position to potentially cash in on that. They were talking like two third round picks. Yes please

Wow just what we need ...someone that can beat out a career third stringer. Don’t hurt yourself reaching for the stars LOL
