No clue what the plan is going forward at QB this season it will be ride Hurts... But in the off-season I’m sure the Colts will come banging on our door for Wentz... Image Reich would be licking his chops to get his hands back on Wentz

You would think theBears and Colts should be making offers for Wentz.

Not sure if Nagy will be able to survive this season. They have to give some thought about if pursuing Wentz to keep him on board. Pretty interesting for them. FiringNagy and trading big for  Wentz would be an odd way of going about business.

Gravedigger seems to be coming on now at least. Most have been bashing Rosie. Parks looks able to play. Rosie is responsible for the whole Oline yesterday. The Hurts situation you can go all over the place with. But at least he lead the team to victory and proved he can play at this level.

I’m also curious to how Hurts will look in game two along with Doug. AZ will have an actual game to breakdown on how we use Hurts that can make a massive difference it isn’t what hurts did in college or gadget plays throughout the year.

How does Doug expand the O to keep Da on there heels

If we had gotten that level of qb play all season that we got yesterday, we would probably have three or four more wins (NYG, Washington, Cincy, Cleveland) and no one would be calling for Roseman or Doug to be fired. So as much as people want to bash the coaching staff and the front office (and to be sure they have made some mistakes) the reality is that they can produce a winning football team, and 95 times out of 100 the people you will hire to replace them will be worse.

You know feel kinda bad for Reagor this year.... I mean he has been alright think he will get better... But he has had a handful of really good deep plays that our QBs just miss on. I mean he likely goes over 100 yards if Hurts didn’t miss him wide open on the deep crossing route.

Just curious to how different his season looks if you know we connected on more of those deep plays.

No we were running before that so this is just a lame excuse for pass happy coaches to use to abandoned the run

We only had 17 runs by the RBs on the day. So let’s not too carried away. Pedey didn’t go full on ground game approach. I’d easily argue that the defense getting turnovers and the offense getting first downs is what allowed 17 Running back rushes. Not a large number in my mind still.

Saints blitzed in the second half heavily. That gave Carson massive problems this season. So I’d expect a massive blitz attack coming.

The Oline played much better. Sanders busted a run after not having success. The defense got takeaways. I’m with Pedey on it was the whole team(ok maybe not ST so much).

One random thought from the game. I don't think we beat them if Brees is healthy, so there's a pretty big asterisk on this game. But even with that being said, our oline with three first-year players vastly outplayed their offensive line, and our dline vastly outplayed their dline.

That is pretty big considering that the Saints are a Super Bowl contender. They have a huge advantage over us in WRs and DBs. Hopefully as Reagor, Hightower and Fulgham get better, that WR disparity will be reduced. We do have to get better in the secondary, and I think that should be the focus of the draft. But we have the pieces in place on both lines, which is a large part of the equation already solved.

Why😱😰...an asterisk? Taysom Hill had won three straight...Hurts The Rookie is only the second Rookie player in the history of NFL behind only Lamarr Jackson in his first start against the #1Defense that had not given up a 100 yds to a rusher in 50something games.I say again ONLY the second rookie  in the history of the NFL... He might deserve an asterisk for a great job.lol

I don’t think there is a big asterisk at all they were on a 9 game win streak the D was the best in the game... Hill was fine previous weeks. They were a healthy team overall and we were riddled with injuries. Do we lose if brees is healthy maybe do we win if we had a healthy OL and D???

The man been good kicker not like philly was the first game he kicked outside lol

93 as you were posting your thought I was writing and thinking exactly how you were posting. We need to give that young man his props. Maybe Wentz is back next week? It wouldn't surprise me.

The plays have been there. Reagor suffered through two injuries early in the season also. Him dropping a contested pass or two while dealing with a thumb injury is understandable. QBs have missed on hitting him when open a bunch this season still. Oline is to blame also. Had any kind of decent pocket and I think Reagor flourishes. He is to blame some also though. Been caught lining up wrong and running incorrect routes also. It’s all learning and developing though. Kid has juice I’ve always said. We need a squeeze these last few weeks. We could drop all the way from a chance at the fourth pick all the way down to nineteenth...yay

And 18 by the QB and a ton were DESIGNED RUNS!!!!  Quite a few were read options where hurts opted to keep them instead of ha ding off to the RB

The asterisk is because, if Brees is healthy, I think the Saints are better than the Eagles. I would put them as one of the top three teams in the NFL right now, with the Packers and Chiefs.

I don't think the Eagles are at that level. But I do think our oline and dline are in the conversation for best in the league, and with Mailata playing like he has, we will go into next season with the best oline in football with Lane and Brooks coming back, even if Kelce retires.

The hope is that our young receivers turn into something (it would be nice to get them playing time now) and that we improve our defense in the draft. If we can do that, and if Hurts can turn into Dak Prescott or Wentz can find the 2017 version of himself, this is a Super Bowl team.

So the asterisk is indicative of the fact that although we beat a Super Bowl team, we did it because without Brees they are pretty average. And with decent qb play, we are better than an average team. But we aren't a Super Bowl team.

I mean this is like majority of RBs Sanders was running fine before that huge run though they were the ugly yards but was for the most part picking up positive yards 4-5 yards here and there. The big run definitely makes the stat like look nice though

Winning three straight. Well two were against the Falcons. One was against the Broncos. I think that was the game the Broncos were forced to play a WR at QB even. So let’s be real about what was happening.

Seem tad nit picky to me I get it though we likely don’t win if brees is in. But then you have to add the asterisk to what would we look like with a healthy Brooks, Lane, Dillard(no clue what he is but could be good).... Healthy D as well I mean Saints didn’t really get anything going until our secondary got reshuffled from injuries.

Injuries are what they are and no team is dealing with injuries worse then us maybe SF

Up next I’d AZ though and a deciding game for me. If we can find a way to knock them off I’m all for striving for the playoffs if we lose we’ll go for the draft pick

I'm not taking anything away from yesterday's win, just more making the point that we are probably closer to contending for a Super Bowl (IMO) than many people think. The oline and the dline is in place. We will probably get above average play from the qb position. I think our wrs are going to improve. TE and RB are set. The LBs have been a pleasant surprise.

To me, they simply need to add talent on the defense and we are there. Although, if we have a chance to add a really good wr in the first round, I probably pull the trigger on that.

I think he had like 14 yards on the seven carries before he busted that run. So not really agreeing with you on this

Really depends on a lot how do the OL guys come back from injuries, how do the DL guys age no clue when a player might just fall off.

If every goes right sure they could be in place but hasn’t quite been our luck.

Will say nice to see some decent young guys Hargrave coming on Sweat on the DL, Mailata/Herbig are alright as well

I was surprised we didn’t use Howard. I thought he could complete our RB room. Feel we need a third RB of his type to compliment Sanders and Scott. No idea what we’re doing with Huntley.

Not sure TE is set. Figuring Ertz is a big question mark.

I don’t feel like that is accurate... but even so that is a lot of the time how the ground game works wear down teams until something breaks open

First drive of the game Sanders had a

3 yard run

9 yard run

4 yard run

4 yard run called back

then a -3 yarder

I mean that isn’t bad running from Sanders

We’ve been forced to discover some LBs. Thank goodness. But we put ourselves in that position by abandoning the position group. Gerry was playing hurt. I’m not a fan but maybe give a slight understanding of his terrible play to that. I wanted Singleton and Edwards to play. Singleton brings that aggressive style of play that we badly needed. Edwards is ok. Little bit of liability in pass coverage. Singleton arguably is also. So still feel we need one three down stud. Riley is ok. Nothing spectacular but also improving with more playing time. Arguably a great ST.

Gotta remember he busted that nice run last game that Seumalo got called for a phantom holding call on.
