First drive of the game Sanders had a

3 yard run

9 yard run

4 yard run

4 yard run called back

then a -3 yarder

I mean that isn’t bad running from Sanders

Especially against the best run d in the league that was focused on stopping the run.

Yeah, not great.

JSB, I’d say we definitely need that stud WR. Got plenty of depth and potential. Need a top flight addition and the position group is complete.

Lmao wow well Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry must be trash because that is there game as well avg. 3 yards then busting a huge run

But going through the future of how close this team is to contending you have to deal with the fact the team is way over the cap. So they aren’t going forward with adding FAs. Gotta cut people. But still would need to try and keep a Mills type. So that’s the problem. Now we lost our footing in the draft ...significantly I’d say. That all we really have.

Those two make a living on yards after contact

Try and spin it all you want but 14 yards on 7 carries makes it harder to stick with the run. Getting first downs and not being down a bunch of points really helps.

Sanders himself admitted him slipping, dropping catches and missing blocking assignments hurt his rushing. Those poor plays on his part kept us from first downs. When you getfirst downs that gives you the extra opportunities to run the ball.

Of coarse Sanders being out to injury also hurt the rushing game. Stupid penalties also has plagued us. Running it on third and twelve isn’t great.

Lmao 😂 that has nothing to do with yesterday .... Every player has been talking about there own mistakes never stated Miles was perfect...

But passing 3 times down by a 1 score to go 3 and out over and over and over again that Miles fault get real. When you actually run the ball and pickup yards and keep short fields that also helps you get first downs and stay on the field

Defense provided turnovers(like I said) that’s been sorely missing and gives the O opportunities to run the ball. Our O not turning it over themselves is also key. We’ve been on the wrong side of these most of the season.

I thought Fulgham was going to be that guy but they have seemingly given up on him, and basically all of the young guys. I don't get it, especially since we need to see what they can do with Hurts in the game. Putting Jeffery out there (and Ertz) seems pointless. They aren't going to be here next year due to our cap situation, and they aren't giving us anything on the field. A daily double of crap.

Yea you know how you run the ball it’s by calling runs every thing else mentioned is an excuse.

If we get a turn over and Doug calls 3 pass plays guess what we aren’t running. We leaned on the ground game like we should have been doing for weeks and we see the results.

If Miles slipped fell and missed the pass coming his way....then yes it’s his fault. If he dropped an easy catch...then yes it’s his fault. If he didn’t block his assignment in pass protection and the play failed...then yes that’s his fault. Like I keep saying. If you get first downs the opportunities to run will be there much more. So if he made a key mistake and they go three and out..that was part of his fault slowing the rushing attack. He was injured. Can’t blame him for that. It heavily effected the rushing attack though, I believe. He came back from injury looking rusty. Just didn’t seem focused or whatever. I believe he’s an elite talent. So we need him making those plays.

I think Fulgham was a surprise. Had a good run for a few games. Unfortunately I think they kind of got a read on him now. He does a little too much coming off the line. Doesn’t get right up field. It’s fixable. I like him. But also think the playbook isn’t as wide open with him in. So Jeffrey frees up the playcalling some. Not all about his production....If it helps the others.

Like I keep saying if you run the damn ball instead of 3 pass plays maybe instead of consistent 3 and longs your in more manageable 3rd downs... If you actually run the ball you can actually keep Ds honest... If you actually run the ball you can use play actions....

Those aren’t on Miles that is all Doug and his play calling so the rest is EXCUSE!S!!!!!!

Ertz and Jeffrey have something to play for now. Ertz gave one if his best blocks yesterday to sprig that big run for Sanders. I was honestly shocked I saw that happening. Ertz isn’t going to get the huge contract he was looking for. That ship has sailed. So the situation has changed. There actually could be a chance he backs down and signs a longer term deal that’s more team friendly. Either way he’s playing for any future he could have these last few games.
Jeffrey was injured. So nothing he could do about that. But his beef seemed to be with Rosie trying to trade him right after inking him. That would piss anybody off. Pretty low...even in the pro sports biz. But what if Rosie is fired? Could that change the whole situation with Alshon? Don’t know but do feel Jeffrey wants to play hard and earn some future...here or elsewhere. He knows the whole playbook.

Had runs that didn’t produce. Having successful pass plays enabled the run also. Not commuting penalties shooting your self in the foot enables the run more. Not being down on the scoreboard enables more running. The defense actually creating turnovers generates more rushing opportunities.

Yup those 1 score games really forced us to pass heavy damn.... Browns in bad weather being down by 1 score yup completely agree should go pass heavy...

And no turnovers don’t create more run opportunities it’s calling runs that give opportunities.

I watched numerous games were the ground game is working and we just go away to pass heavy why??? Score is fine, runs are working....but let’s pass 3 times and go three and out makes perfect sense

Lets put ourselves in 3rd and long and make it so all we can do is pass. That’s great logic

I agree with you some BG. We needed to stick to the running game more. But it’s not in a vacuum. When you have a penalty or unsuccessful play it hinders a play callers opportunity to run the ball. Sanders was to blame when he came back from injury some. He missed his blitz pickup. That took away a successful play that could have been a new set of downs(more opportunities to run). He slipped a couple times in Greenbay. He’s dropped several passes. I’d say each example of Sanders making a mistake in the non rushing part of the game has directly lead to less rushing attempts. Catch the ball...get a first down...or at least keep us on schedule. Then you can run the ball. Harder when it’s 2nd and 10 or worse.

Didn’t Sanders have more carries in the Browns game than yesterday?

Did we run the ball more vs the browns or the Saints???? 36 vs the Saints 25 vs the browns

Don’t ever remorse browns game getting out of hand where we had to pass heavy especially in bad weather

Browns game we started out by just running the ball...then Sanders fumbled.

In a sloppy raining game it happens think Browns had a fumble also pretty sure they kept running
