Hard to covert first downs when you keep passing and keeping yourself in terrible spots on 3rd down... I can go in this circle ️ all day

But there was a ineffective run in there that lead to the horrible third down position. Can’t really run on third and long.

But you can run on 2nd and 9.... Gaining 1-3 or more yards makes it way better then 3rd 9 after you incomplete pass again

And to top it off our RB was responsible for several of the unsuccessful pass plays(drops and bad blocking).

Your logic makes no sense oh we had 1 bad run on 1 play so we have to pass twice.... Hard to be successful running like that string runs together is how you get success there are always going to be ugly gains running the teams that are successful running commit to it though

Your reaching for a pass on third and six...,after rushing. Doesn’t sound great. Of coarse that’s based on the longest RB rush of the second half even. We weren’t getting that far.

More lame excuses for not running 😂

A bad run and a bad pass equals third and long. That was basically the second half situation in a nutshell.

It is somewhat amazing that we went from cutting Will Parks two weeks ago because we didn't have room for him to legitimately not having enough DBs on the roster for Sunday.

Epps will have a chance to earn a starting job Sunday IMO. He is going to play a lot on Sunday against a fast and dangerous defense that really spreads things out.

My guess at corner will be Mills, Seymour and NRC. I don't think Maddox or Slay play, or if they do they will not play long. Jacquet is also a possibility.

Wallace will probably start at SS. He has a chance to show what he can do. He hasn't been great, but we will see if he can get better with some playing time.

My guess is that Elijah Riley gets called up if any of the injuries are serious. I want to see what he can do. He has great college film, and he's big and fast with corner and safety experience. So he can possibly be the dime.

Not converting first downs rob’s you of opportunities. Just basic logic.

Yea because again we didn’t string any runs together running is a commitment you have to stick with I watch Derrick He ray gain 1-2 yards numerous times for them to you know what RUN AGAIN

Yea and passing 3 downs keeping you in bad situations makes it hard for you to stay converting first downs

We abandoned the run vs the browns it’s a massive change from the Saints that we kept with it

Wow poor McLeod tore his ACL he was having a great season.

So you were anti-pass the ball in the third quarter of the Cleveland game. Because we ran it every drive until we were down two scores. Ran it unsuccessfully...but you held out hope the next one would be a big gain. Maybe. If we had just decent runs it would have facilitated more opportunities to run more. Running the ball was killing us in the second half. Whole offense stunk in the second half other than the one play after the fumble recovery(Rodgers TD catch) and the final drive.

Hope we can get Slay back we need Mills at S now even more.

Lmao im use what is successful and that was the ground game the entire first half... Sorry if I don’t use broken logic that running the ball 1 time a drive means it doesn’t work.

so yea I would have 100000000% rather of seen back to back runs on 1st and 2nd down over well 1st down run wasn’t good so let me fail at passing twice then pass the next drive then pass on the next drive so I can finally have the excuse of oh we are down in the 4th by two score so we have to pass even more

I hate Benjamin Solak of Bleeding Green Nation, but he made one legit point about Hurts. He said that Hurts may lack certain traits, but the one thing he has is the fundamental awareness to be an NFL QB. Obviously a small sample size, but he doesn't take sacks, doesn't make dangerous throws and always gives the offense a chance for the offense to fight another day.

He's almost like the anti-Wentz, who never wants to let a play die regardless of the potential downside.

I think he will be a qb who can't win a ballgame in the way that Wentz could, but he's a guy who won't lose the game, and will always give your team a chance to win. Plus he has the upside that he might turn into a really good passer.

He also said that the team needs to get more creative with run plays, namely running more out of the pistol or putting Scott and Sanders on the field together.

It’s hard to have a bunch of rushes when you don’t convert first downs. I’d say that running the ball for minus one, no gain or only one yard put us in that position. Successful runs would have lead to more rushing attempts. Fairly obvious.

It'd be easier to be successful if the Eagles had an RB who could consistantly get 2 or 3 yards.

Sanders and Scott either get a big gain or nothing

Sanders tends to get positive yards on most runs especially when we string runs for him not do that spaced out running of 1 carry then 3 drives later he gets another hard to be successful that way

It’s a huge difference when you see a guy like Chubb or Henry get fed they have those ugly 1-3 yard gains before finally breaking one

I’m not totally against running it more. You just need to realize the rushing game sucked was part of the reason we weren’t running more in the second half.

No you need to realize we didn’t run lol I’m sorry can’t say something g sucked when we didn’t use it.... 1 run here then another run there not working isn’t it being unsuccessful that just not using it

That’s all I’m saying. First down runs were sucking. Can’t run on third and long. Kind of boxes you in when you don’t convert any first downs.

And this isn’t even bringing up the fact we completely went away from the runs that we were having success on in the second half as well

Except we only ran the ball on first down think twice that entire 2nd half of the whole 5 carries Sanders had.... And one Of those runs were backed up at our EZ when every knew we were running pretty easy to stop.

Ran it the first two plays of the second half(Sanders and then Wentz). Had third and long. Next drive Rodgers one pass play for a TD. Next drive ran for one yard on second down. Third and nine...gotta pass. Next series run by Sanders for one yard. Then Sanders dropped the catch. Third and nine...gotta pass. Then down by two scores in the fourth after that.
